Speedy deletion of Everything (software)[edit]

A tag has been placed on Everything (software), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. §FreeRangeFrog 09:32, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Protez,

I noticed you added the date of his death on the Yong Pil Rhee article. Now I wrote the article with the little information I could find on the web, but I wasn't aware he died. I am sorry, I missed this information. Now I checked and I still can't find any confirmation. Could you please give a source that conforms this information? -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 14:22, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, sorry. I found that information myslef in the GENERAL SYSTEMS BULLETIN VOLUME XXXIV, 2005. -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 14:32, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Initially, I read your WP article and was surprised from the fact that one of my alumni served in ISSS. Wanting for more information, I sought his information on local news websites and found his obituary. I couldn't have known him without your contribution. Thank you. -- Protez (talk) 12:56, 10 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok thanks again for the notification. There are a lot of kind words in this ISSS memorial A Memorial to Professor Yong Pil Rhee as well, see page 20-22. -- Marcel Douwe Dekker (talk) 14:42, 10 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 21:15, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

World Factoring Yearbook[edit]

I'm leaving this message as you're listed as a current participant of WikiProject Business. I was informed yesterday that the current World Factoring Yearbook (circa £150) is now free for download as an ebook. It's a matter of filling out this form. I'm not sure if you'll find this useful as a reliable source, but I thought I should let you know that it's freely available online. I apologise in advance if this doesn't interest you! Delete of alumni gallery on Seoul National University page[edit]

Hi Protez, the idea behind introducing key alumni at Seouldae is exampled on the Columbia University and University of California, Berkeley pages. Please undo your revision. Snowfalcon cu (talk) 01:37, 20 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Snowfalcon. I've undone the edit at your request. It would be good to have a talk about which alumni should be added to the gallery. Protez (talk) 04:16, 22 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
When we inserted the template, in mind was diversity of lives, as was time, and gender. They represent corporate, government, sport, technology, and academia; past and present; man and woman. If the list expands, it probably will include 임지순 (former Nobel Prize finalist) or 김택환 (highly cited SCI), and an opera singer, if their Wiki pages are enhanced. I'd like to invite you to join the Investment WikiProject. There are a lot of Investment related articles on Wikipedia that could use a little attention, and I hope this project can help organize an effort to improve them. So please, take a look and if you like what you see, help get this project off the ground and a few Investment pages into the front ranks of Wikipedia articles. Thanks!
