Hello! PsicoFS, I noticed your article was declined at Articles for Creation, and that can be disappointing. If you are wondering or curious about why your article submission was declined please post a question at the Articles for creation help desk. If you have any other questions about your editing experience, we'd love to help you at the Teahouse, a friendly space on Wikipedia where experienced editors lend a hand to help new editors like yourself! See you there!

Dear PsicoFS: On reading the review of your article, I see that the reviewer didn't explain clearly that "good" and "excellent" are value judgements, and if you want to use them you have to attribute them to a particular authority. For example "Studies by Professor XXX at YYY University have shown that..." and cite the study. I also see that in spite of the reviewer's remarks, you have provided some general references. Since these aren't on line, but you likely have access to them, please check that they specifically name the "Social Phobia and Anxiety Inventory-Brief version" and have information that supports the sentences in the article. If that's the case, then it's only citing specific sources for the value-laden words that needs to be done. Thanks! —Anne Delong (talk) 17:50, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Refs[edit]

Per WP:MEDRS we typically user review articles instead of primary sources. Best Doc James (talk · contribs · email) (if I write on your page reply on mine) 01:09, 16 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problem: Social Phobia and Anxiety Inventory[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Social Phobia and Anxiety Inventory, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to contain material copied from http://www.mhs.com/product.aspx?gr=cli&id=overview&prod=spai, and therefore to constitute a violation of Wikipedia's copyright policies. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators are liable to be blocked from editing.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under license allowed by Wikipedia, then you should do one of the following:

It may also be necessary for the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and to follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at this temporary page. Leave a note at Talk:Social Phobia and Anxiety Inventory saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved. Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! SandyGeorgia (Talk) 18:18, 16 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Additional copyvio, etc[edit]

I also found copyvio at Public speaking, where the text you inserted was cut-and-paste. You also inserted text about speaking anxiety into the lead there-- text that was not developed in the body of the article. I'm also finding that you are adding Spanish-language sources to text that is already cited to English-language sources (see WP:NONENG). I'm also finding primary sources rather than reviews used to cite health content (see WP:MEDRS). SandyGeorgia (Talk) 18:36, 16 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Notices[edit]

December 2013[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you!

Primary sources[edit]

We generally do not allow primary sources for medical content. Please use secondary sources such as review articles. Thanks Doc James (talk · contribs · email) (if I write on your page reply on mine) 09:58, 3 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I've been checking similar webpabes re: social anxiety, and I've seen they refer to primary sources. Please, advise. ( PsicoFS (talk) 17:41, 6 January 2014 (UTC) )[reply]
That falls under WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS-- we can't fix all of it, and that there is incorrect stuff in some articles doesn't mean we should add more. The bigger problem with your edits is that a) you are edit-warring without discussing your edits on the article talk page, b) you are spamming citations from one author, often Spanish-language, when the articles are already cited in English. Please see WP:COI. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:02, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

3RR[edit]

Please read WP:EDITWAR, WP:3RR and WP:BRD. You have persisted in inserting citations to one author's work in multiple already cited articles, and you have not discussed your edits on article talk. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 14:23, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You have new message/s Hello. You have a new message at Joe Decker's talk page.

July 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Expressed emotion may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • adolescence]. Journal of Adolescence, 32, 1371-1376. doi: 10.1016/j.adolescence.2009.08.001</ref>) or act as a potential [[risk factor]] for the development of psychiatric disease.<ref>{{cite

COI / Expert[edit]

Hi PsicoFS. you seem to be an expert in matters of psychology, which is great. We love experts here. Please do read our essay with advice for experts: WP:EXPERT. Please also pay mind to the last bullet there, in the advice section, and please do read the link there to [{WP:COI]], and especially pay mind to the section on WP:SELFCITE (part of the chapter, WP:COISELF)

I write that, because in almost every edit you have made, you have added citations to a single group of authors. This makes it likely, that you are one of them. If you are, then you have been editing with a "conflict of interest" as defined in Wikipedia. If you are a scientist or clinician, then you know that scientific publications often require a disclosure of conflict of interest, to protect the integrity of the scientific process. We care about COI too, and that we understand that are various kinds of COI that people face here. Again, please do read WP:EXPERT and WP:COI and follow the advice there. I am providing you formal notice of COI.

Information icon Hello, PsicoFS. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Jytdog (talk) 17:07, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sourcing for health related content[edit]

PsicoFS - an additional note for you! If you are not familiar with it, please read WP:MEDRS, which defines what "reliable sources" are for health-related content. This is a really important guideline for WP, and was generated and is supported by WP:WikiProject Medicine. Please consider joining our project to improve and maintain the quality of content about health in Wikipedia. Thanks! Jytdog (talk) 17:09, 5 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
