Disambiguation link notification for March 5[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Phyllochron, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Stem (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:12, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

How to become of administrators in wiki and what are the conditions?

Please answer thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sola2012 (talkcontribs) 11:52, 6 March 2012 (UTC) --sola$$$$$$$$ (talk) 12:23, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Sola. There is no definite route to administrator status (also called "sysop"). You nominate yourself and they usually consider factors like duration of time served, how well you work with the community, and your experience. Here are a few links to read more:
Hope that helps answer your question. --Pusillanimous (talkcontribs) 16:05, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

sola2012[edit]

Hello First I want to thank you for helping me all the time I want your help is about a specific article The article talks about an Israeli player and mentioned in the article is absolutely true But in the end of the page there are groups There are two categories not have any relationship with the subject, I've mentioned in the first category, although the Arabs of Israel is an Israeli player In the second category mentioned players Palestine But we know that Israel is a country, and Palestine is not another city in Israel and should not be the existence of these two categories on the page and the article includes an Israeli player, not a Palestinian. theres no one on talk page .

the article link -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohammad_Ghadir — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sola2012 (talkcontribs) 19:07, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a comment to the talk page and removed the category until someone can provide a reference that he is in fact Palestinian. The reason your edit was reverted was likely because you didn't explain anything in the edit summary box. When an editor sees someone delete things without explanation they may suspect it is vandalism. My comment on the talk page of Mohammad Ghadir can be found here. --Pusillanimous (talkcontribs) 23:29, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Science lovers wanted![edit]

Science lovers wanted!
Hi! I'm serving as the wikipedian-in-residence at the Smithsonian Institution Archives until June! One of my goals as resident, is to work with Wikipedians and staff to improve content on Wikipedia about people who have collections held in the Archives - most of these are scientists who held roles within the Smithsonian and/or federal government. I thought you might like to participate since you are interested in the sciences! Sign up to participate here and dive into articles needing expansion and creation on our to-do list. Feel free to make a request for images or materials at the request page, and of course, if you share your successes at the outcomes page you will receive the SIA barnstar! Thanks for your interest, and I look forward to your participation! Sarah (talk) 18:32, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Pennsylvania projects supported by WPUS[edit]

I wanted to let you know I responded to your comments at WPUS about the PA projects. Basically, I was the main one maintaining and keeping most of the WikiProject US supported projects going and I stopped doing that a couple months ago. I got tired of being the bad guy for trying to keep all the US related projects alive. As such I expect most of them to revert back to the inactive state I found them in. So if you want to keep these projects going they'll need some active support. Kumioko (talk) 22:38, 24 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the quick reply. I will formulate a bit of a plan on how to tackle the issue after the holiday and I really appreciate your offer to help! --Pusillanimous (talkcontribs) 01:20, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your user page lists that you are trying to revive the wikiproject. I will be happy to work on it (I am working in some nearby areas). Can you point to me some fields of active work. Solomon7968 (talk) 19:20, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Now that classes are over, I would like to get working on it, but I am very new to WikiProjects in general. I'm going to compile a list of to-dos that I think are essential when I have a bit of time — I'll leave you a note when I've made some progress, Okay? Otherwise, feel free to charge ahead. Thanks! --Pusillanimous (talkcontribs) 19:26, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
As I said that I am working in related areas and my classes are going to start (but I can still manage to work in wiki) my approach to USA wikiprojects in wikipedia is relatively different since I am from India. I am trying to improve coverage of Indian immigrants to USA.

I am interested in Pennsylvania State University largely because C. R. Rao is now a professor in it. But I will still work in related areas. Solomon7968 (talk) 19:36, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Excellent! Good luck with your current projects, I hope to be in touch. Have a good day. --Pusillanimous (talkcontribs) 19:40, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
