The article Chitwanix OS has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreleased product, no claim of WP:NOTABILITY.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Chitwanix os[edit]

Hello Pyasi.arun,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Chitwanix os for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. The Cosmos Master (talk) 17:08, 8 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Pyasi.arun, and thank you for your contributions!

I wanted to let you know it seems an article you worked on, Chitwanix OS, is copied from another Wikipedia page, Chitwanix os. It's fine to do this as long as you provide the following information in the edit summary:

  1. a link to the article you copied from
  2. the date you copied it

You can do this now by editing the page, making any minor edit to the article, and adding the above information into the edit summary.

If you're still not sure how to fix the problem, please leave a message at the help desk. It's possible that I made a mistake, so feel free to remove the tag I placed on the article.

Thanks again for helping build the free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 17:48, 8 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Nomination of Chitwanix OS for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Chitwanix OS is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chitwanix OS until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Nat Gertler (talk) 22:46, 8 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you wish to argue that the article shouldn't be deleted, rather than posting it on my page, you should post your argument on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chitwanix OS, as that is where the deletion discussion is taking place. As noted above, the argument should rely on Wikipedia policies and guidelines. I don't know of any guidelines suggesting that open source software should always have an article, although I certainly don't know every guideline. --Nat Gertler (talk) 03:51, 9 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
