January 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm Dennis Bratland. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to University of Washington College of Engineering seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Dennis Bratland (talk) 15:43, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I noticed this article did not have any references to reliable, secondary sources, so I added two product reviews from trade magazines. Don't forget to make sure new articles refer to secondary sources outside of the company's main website and promotional material, otherwise they may be at risk of being nominated for deletion. Hope that helps. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 09:50, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for watching! I have added more references from other reviews as well. I have also moved the article to Genie Industries to better reflect the company name. Genie (company) will now redirect to that page.

Hello, Pyke.jonathan, and thank you for your contributions!

I wanted to let you know it seems an article you worked on, Genie Industries, is copied from another Wikipedia page, Genie (company). It's fine to do this as long as you provide the following information in the edit summary:

  1. a link to the article you copied from
  2. the date you copied it

You can do this now by editing the page, making any minor edit to the article, and adding the above information into the edit summary.

If you're still not sure how to fix the problem, please leave a message at the help desk. It's possible that I made a mistake, so feel free to remove the tag I placed on the article.

Thanks again for helping build the free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 18:09, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Genie - A Terex Brand, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. DGG ( talk ) 21:21, 20 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
