Stunning

Talk:Buckingham_Palace#Info_Box. You made perfect sense. You put forward thoughtful and logical arguments in the face of juvenile mocking and tittering that would have exasperated the best of us. That section is there now as a permanent record of the worse displays of divisive, aggressive and snotty behaviour of some well known Wikipedians. It is also there as a testament of your patience and good will. I hope the others look back on that one day and feel embarrassed. You can look back on it and feel proud. You were calm, polite, and made some impressive arguments. And I hate infoboxes! Well done! SilkTork *YES! 00:45, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Motor Sport magazine

Since you have a handful of issues for Motor Sport magazine from 1999, I was wondering if you could give a brief look into some information from that year regarding the Mercedes-Benz CLR. Information about the CLR's accidents at Le Mans seems to be easy to come by, but I'm wondering about information on the car itself from before everything went horribly wrong. From my understanding the car was launched in April 1999, so information would likely be from April to June. Specifically, I'm looking for anything involving the development and testing of the CLR, as well as some of the structure within the AMG-Mercedes team.

No rush on this, just if and when you can find something. IIIVIX (Talk) 22:05, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Recent discussions at WikiProject Mining

Hi, there are some discussions you may want to weigh in on at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Mining about:

 • Naming conventions for multiple mines with the same name
 • Using "Categorty:Metal mine in Country" in community/company articles
 • Capitalizing the word "mine" in article titles

Excuse me

Hve a look carefully. Have a look at La Pianistas talk page. Exactly the same thing. How dare you come hear and say those rude comments. Now what is the trivial issue over Brawn names? I put it there for VANDALISERS which you obviously aren't. You need to loom at you approach as I've done nothing wrong. What patronising comment at top of talk page are you on about! What is everyones problem in the world, all of a sudden I'm the bad guy and you really pushed it with the edit war. Chubbennaitor 16:27, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

I thought that the first mention of a drivers name on a results table was always full name. You pushed a very ad button and the quotations were supposed to show you hadn't done that. If you read the comment in the brackets afterwards. You suddenly decided to have a go at me about something that wasn't aimed at you but to give a huge warning to confuse vandilisers. You pushed me over the edge and... well; you know what happens when an angry person gets very angry. Chubbennaitor 07:06, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

I come here with good heart and I get this. You brought up an issue and I wrote those things because they're were to stop people who are here to shout over something that WP tells me to do; not at editors like you, How did Readro get involved? Chubbennaitor 07:11, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

It' a warning to stop idiots coming ad saying rude comments. It isn't to say I'm right all the time. It's to say, assume good faith and I did it with a probably valiant reason, not to say I'm better. No-one else I know has complained. I reverted it back to what it was before so we can discuss the change. That's what happens. An edit is made that is controversial-revert back to original text-reach a result-edit and repeat the cycle if edit is still controversial. Chubbennaitor 20:53, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Brawn colour

Probably redundant as Brawn will (apparently) unveil new colours this weekend, but this change to Template:Brawn GP seemed to make perfect sense to me, as it is the closest approximation of the colour on their cars and in the logo. I agree it's "vile", but I am interested as to why you believe it "has nothing to do with Brawn". Apterygial 00:31, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Toyota's red and Force India's orange but they're mostly white as well. I think it should be the main non-white colour. Chubbennaitor 20:52, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
For what it's worth, I've just colour matched the colours on Brawn GP's website using the most advanced programs (i.e., Paint), which is this colour: Hello, Pyrope! No reason really why it shouldn't have a place in the template. Apterygial 23:10, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

impressive

Good effort on the school article! 18:03, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Dennis' or Dennis's

Cheers for that Pyrope - I guess years of Modern Languages didn't help!;)

Happy editing.--Mofs (talk) 21:13, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Lola Racing Cars

I know it wouldn't redirect, but I've been going through the What Links Here page for LRC and changing the links to Lola Cars. If it was Lola Cars it would disappear from the list, but I know it was stupid. Cs-wolves(talk) 22:49, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

I've copied our discussion to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Volcanoes, where many of the points you brought up have already been discussed. Please continue there.

David Hobbs

Please, I am in the middle of fixing the redirects. When I get done, I will delete David Hobbs and move David Hobbs (disambiguation) to David Hobbs --rogerd (talk) 23:22, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

I realize you are trying help, but I am using Wikipedia:Tools/Navigation popups which has a redirect fix tool, I need that page to redir until I get them all fixed. It will only take me another 15 minutes, please --rogerd (talk) 23:28, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Applause

The Barnstar of Integrity
Mainly for that outstanding post at the F1 WikiProject discussion on flags, at which I very nearly applauded my monitor screen, but also for generally being an outstanding contributor to F1 articles. Cheers! Bretonbanquet (talk) 18:19, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Cosworth vs. Ford.... Round 2.

Hahahah!!! This means that I am completely right! No, I'm not that irritating. I guess the fact that it wasn't the original engine would explain the anomaly - they may well have dug up an F2 engine or something as a replacement for some reason. Had I seen that car and taken the photo, how tempting it would've been to post it here and claim that the owner told me categorically that it was 100% definitely the original engine! No word of a lie, guv! ;) Bretonbanquet (talk) 17:35, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Racing driver infoboxes

Hello, Pyrope! I've just found that User:Pigsonthewing made a proposal two years ago of merging all racing driver infoboxes. You were opposed to it. Last June I did a similar thing, but this time including a ridiculously massive example. Do you support the merger now? --NaBUru38 (talk) 00:24, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

Ferrari F60

Hi. I can see you reverted formatting to previous version. Is there a specific reason for that? I believe the page doesn't look good with that huge gap under "Through the season" section, and what's worse is the fact many people will think it's the end of the article and wouldn't read content below it (I know I did on first read). Can you format the page in a way it doesn't contain such a huge blank space? Thanks. Satellite779 (talk) 15:48, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

fact is that nearly all cheeses are named for some municipality, however, the move is based on guidelines set forth by wp:name#disambiguation and the cheese task force that indicate the name should be qualified with 'cheese' in parenthesis.--emerson7 19:21, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

Cheeses

hey fella? perhaps you can dial down the snark a bit. also, please reference wp:Cheeses# for the info you seek. cheers. --emerson7 04:10, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Cheese moves

Hey Pyrope, when you move the articles could you please tag the redirects with name of redirect and ? The food projects like to keep an eye on the redirects so if any one moves them or re-tasks them we are aware so we can add hat notes or poke our heads in and say "hey, this needs to be discussed..."

A picture of the cakes would benefit that article. The few that I've enjoyed eating do not actually resemble Eccles cakes. Dr. Dan (talk) 03:53, 27 November 2009 (UTC)

Yes, I agree. I'm not in a position to be able to provide one at the moment, and the only CC-BY images I've found on the web show the cakes wrapped in a stack in plastic, which doesn't really show how they look very well!. I'm keeping my eyes open. Pyrope 14:59, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
