Since you have been editing the Great Seljuq Empire article, I thought I would ask your opinion. Currently the lede sentence is, "The Great Seljuq Empire (Persian: دولت سلجوقیان‎, Modern Turkish: Büyük Selçuklu Devleti) was a medieval Persianate,Turko-Persian Sunni Muslim empire, originating from the Qynyq branch of Oghuz Turks.
What do you think of the lede sentence being this, "The Great Seljuq Empire (Persian: دولت سلجوقیان‎, Modern Turkish: Büyük Selçuklu Devleti) was a medieval Sunni Muslim Persianate empire, originating from the Qynyq branch of Oghuz Turks."??
Since in the following paragraph, Turko-Persian is mentioned. Your thoughts? --Defensor Ursa 20:33, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dear Kansas Bear. Before I apologize for my late reply. I think it is more correct the following sentence, "The Great Seljuq Empire" (Persian: دولت سلجوقیان‎) was a medieval Persianate, Muslim Turkic empire, originating from the Qynyq branch of Oghuz Turks. --Qara Khan 17:24, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
"The Great Seljuq Empire" (Persian: دولت سلجوقیان‎) was a medieval Persianate, Muslim Turkic empire, originating from the Qynyq branch of Oghuz Turks.", looks good to me. --Defensor Ursa 12:58, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Two suggestions[edit]

Hi Qara Van, I preseme that you're new to WP: Wellcome and thanks for the sidebox: History of the Turks pre-14th century. But I'd like to make two suggeations. The image is from the Tulip era of the Ottoman Empire which is in the 18th century, much later than pre 14th century. How about replacing it with a more a more coherent image. On the other hand the dynasties listed in China (and to some extend India) were immediatelly assimilated in the local population. I doubt if they can be called Turkic . How about discarding them ?Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 19:54, 5 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Nedim Ardoğa. You are right in the first matter. The image comparatively is not appropriate. If you have good suggestion for the new image then change. I don't agree with you in the second matter. Shatuo turks, Mamluk dynasty, Khilji dynasty, Tughlaq dynasty no doubt was turkic origin. I understand why you doubt. Turkey historians think that Xiongnu, Golden Horde, Timurid, Mughal empires even Sumer was turkic :) Qara Khan 05:23, 6 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Edit war[edit]

Hi Qara Han, as I have already remarked above, wellcome to WP. WP needs new editors and I am sure you be helpful in creating new articles and expanding the existing ones. But please note that edit war is not permitted in WP. (Besides it is a waste of time and energy for both editors) If you disagree with the other authors, please try to come to a compromise rather than to change the material. You can use the talk pages of the articles.

I am the creator of the page Chaghri Beg. Although this does not give a privilege, the page is on my watchlist. Adding a sidebox was a good idea of yours. But I don't agree with a few of your edits. I changed them back to their original form. But I am eager to discuss with you on the subject. Please see my talk on the talk page of the article. (Talk:Chaghri Beg) Cheers. Don't do this again! Why you are behave like this (semi-racism) in Iran articles (like this)? Mervzi (talk) 19:13, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Azerbaijan article is not Iran article. Learn the meaning of the word of Prehistory. Your edits in Azerbaijan article is persian propaganda. Wikipedia is not place of propaganda. Qara khan 14:55, 13 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Please lay away Racist Thoughts. Mervzi (talk) 01:34, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I struggle to see how using only talk summaries and hurled insults on personal talk pages is a good strategy for resolving this issue. You two should take this dispute to the template talk page, possibly with an RfC and stop the senseless edit-warring. siafu (talk) 19:53, 17 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I thought I should let you know that Wikipedia articles can not reference other Wikipedia articles. Therefore this source; http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seldschuken-F%C3%BCrsten#Stammbaum "Liste der Seldschuken-Fürsten", can not be used.

Other than that, I like the article. --Kansas Bear (talk) 16:09, 23 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Move of Bilge Qaghan[edit]

Hi, I see you moved Bilge Qaghan while a move discussion was still open at Talk:Bilge Qaghan#Requested move and seemed unlikely to succeed [1]. Ottoman palaces[edit]

In case you don't know, edit war is not allowed in WP. For two times you deleted a table from the article Ottoman palaces in Istanbul which I've created. Unles you have a logical reason, you can't delete any encycloapedic content from the article. Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 13:43, 19 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Actually the Turks didn't rule Iran from 1029 to 1925, just wanted to tell you this so people wouldn't laugh at you or get angry at you if you said that in real life, take this as advice. --HistoryofIran (talk) 20:03, 11 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Qara Xan. You cannot move an article or template after a WP:RM discussion. As a result, I have moved the template back and locked it in place for a month. If you disagree with the decision of the discussion's closer, you can either discuss with them, or open another debate (usually it is wise to wait some time, as opening another discussion immediately afterwards is generally frowned upon). Please do not attempt to change the template's heading. If you do this, you will be blocked. Cheers, Number 57 20:14, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I already have agreed, but i am angry for your unfair warning. If you again threaten me, first you will be blocked by a Bureaucrat. Cheers, Qara Khan 07:13, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
He didn't threaten you, he gave you fair warning to not move templates against consensus, and simply told you what the consequences would be if you did that again. Bureaucrats are just admin with extra tools, they aren't our bosses, so they generally don't go around blocking other admin. Dennis Brown - © Join WER 00:29, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion[edit]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. Verdia25 (talk) 17:49, 5 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Bilgetigin, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.iranicaonline.org/articles/bilgetigin-turkish-bilge-wise-man-counselor.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Thanks for dropping me a line, but don't get frustrated just because you missed that half sentence. Source checking is always a good thing. --Kansas Bear (talk) 14:08, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You cannot copy every word of a source into an article, even if it is a reliable source. That is called violating copyright. I have removed the copied text. Koumz (talk) 23:51, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Warning icon Hello Qara xan, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your addition to Bilgetigin has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied without attribution. If you want to copy from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Dougweller (talk) 18:29, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please carefully read the sentence starting with "Aside from limited quotation..." and the link to Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. If I look at something and it clearly resembles another text it may still be copyvio according to our policy. Dougweller (talk) 18:35, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Dougweller, I get it now. Thanks for explanation. --Qara khan 19:55, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I still await an answer, if not, i will edit it back to what is was. And if you revert me after that, i will report you per [4]. If you have something to say, don't revert but talk about it with me instead (per WP:BRD). And don't revert until we have reached a consensus.

I have clearly explained that why i reverted you and i see you don't agree with me again. My suggestion is that we have to ask another users' thought. Are you agree? --Qara khan 22:59, 24 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Take a look on what i wrote to you in the talkpage of the article.

Still waiting for a response. My patience is almost over. --HistoryofIran (talk) 16:16, 25 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ahmad Sanjar[edit]

Please learn your maths instead of reverting me and stop stalking me for gods sake. If Ahmad Sanjar ruled from 1097 (per this source [6]) and stopped ruling in 1157. How many years is that? exactly. Now will you please stop or do i have to call an admin? --HistoryofIran (talk) 19:52, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, i still await a answer on the Malik-Shah I talk page and don't try anything funny, because i will not be this patient and naive this time. --HistoryofIran (talk) 20:09, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sanjar was governor of Khorasan between 1097-1118 and was sultan of the Seljuk Empire between (1118-1153 also 1156-1157). Sanjar remained in captivity for three and a half years (1153-1156). First learn difference between governor of a region and sultan of a empire. Also I am not stalking you. I am interested in the Seljuk Empire, Seljuk sultans. --Qara khan 20:15, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The source says something else, but nice try. Although he was captured in some time, he was still recognized as the Sultan of the Seljuq Empire. --HistoryofIran (talk) 20:20, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Do you ever listen? alright then. I had warned you. --HistoryofIran (talk) 20:27, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I added information with its reference (Encyclopædia Britannica) to the article, Ahmad Sanjar. I do not understand your purpose. --Qara khan 20:52, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, the source is not reliable (ask an admin yourself and even if it was then it doesn't make a difference if you actually took a look on what i wrote). Didn't you read/understand all that i wrote before? is it that hard? --HistoryofIran (talk) 20:54, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Kara-Khanid Khanate plagiarism[edit]

I reverted your last edit on Kara Khanids, which appeared to be copy & pasted. I tried to keep what I thought you were looking to include, when I re-wrote the sentence. You might let me know if it works for you. Also, the Persian language source is the next paragraph after the one you copied.

  • "Several Qara-khanid rulers are famous for their literary activity. The two last western ḵāqāns, Ebrāhim b. Ḥo-sayn (1178-1203) and ʿOṯmān (1202-12), wrote poetry in Persian..."

I will let you restore the Persian language and its source, though it should have "poetry" after Persian. --Kansas Bear (talk) 21:28, 2 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A Khagan's a poetry in persian doesn't make official language Persian. Also many of the khagans had a poetry in Turkic. --Qara Khan 22:36, 02 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Persian would not be an official language, just poetry. Turkic is already mentioned, is it not? --Kansas Bear (talk) 22:51, 2 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
