Hey, he is back and doing weird edits. Can you check the fifa womens article and maybe restore it as the referees do not need an extra article. I am still at work and cant do it until later tonight. Only if you have time. Kante4 (talk) 09:56, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

@Kante4: I saw him yesterday but did not see anything major wrong then, except something that was reverted. I dont have much time but I can take a look at it. QED237 (talk) 11:42, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
I am starting to think real hard about it seeing 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup officials, we should either have both or none. QED237 (talk) 12:22, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

@李建兴:. LAST TIME I SAYH THIS, DO NOT MODIFY OLD POSTS and learn english, this discussion has been completely destroyed when you have moved around comments, changed comments and above all mix signs with very poor english. I suggest you learn English so that you can communicate and not waste my time. You are probably a good editor, but you can not speak english and should learn it. QED237 (talk) 19:29, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

@李建兴: I dont say we should not discuss I say you should not edit and move around old posts as we must be able to read the discussions from the start. If you start remove some of you edits it looks like I am talking to myself and if you change content of old posts you can not see what I answer to. Please write new comments instead at the bottom of the current discussion. QED237 (talk) 15:38, 31 March 2015 (UTC)

And it continues... Kante4 (talk) 10:54, 1 April 2015 (UTC)

@Kante4: Thats not good, what we can do is warn (disruptivve editing) and if it continues ask for a block. QED237 (talk) 12:15, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
Yeah it sucks. Thanks for the help as i am at work until 4. He should leave this wiki. I would vote for a block. Kante4 (talk) 14:21, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
I try and help as much as I can but I am pretty busy at the moment. QED237 (talk) 19:50, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
Just thought I'd bring to your attention - and yours too @Kante4: - that your good friend has started making some speculative edits on the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification (AFC) page, that I have just reverted. . . . I didnt think much of it, but have just seen the explosion of nonsense on the women's worlds cup articles - is there a way to get to focus on destroying the Chinese wikipedia instead of the English one ? I wish you luck. Matilda Maniac (talk) 16:22, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
@Matilda Maniac: Yeah, i think an en. wiki ban is needed (if that is possible). He does NOT know how to speak english and make constructive edits. Kante4 (talk) 19:54, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
@Matilda Maniac and Kante4: I would support such block, but I am not admin so can not do much more than warn and report. I will take a new look at it. QED237 (talk) 19:59, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

Circumventions?

Is it prohibited to avoid or circumvent blocks and bans?

If yes:

  • For what reason

&

  • Is there a policy explaining this

Thanks TeaLover1996 Lets talk about it 17:11, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

@TeaLover1996: Yes it is not allowed to avoid blocks (by editing as IP or an other account), if that happens both the IP and account will be blocked for a longer period. Not sure were to find the policy. QED237 (talk) 17:07, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
@Qed237: Is it possibly Sock Puppetry? TeaLover1996 Lets talk about it 19:56, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
@TeaLover1996: I dont think so, but if you create a new account it could be. If you edit as IP it is only block evasion which is often cause for a longer block. QED237 (talk) 19:15, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

Twinkle is simply a tool for reverting and I did not label your edit as vandalism while reverting. It was just a regular revert restoring article after a good faith but non-constructive edits. Only because twinkle was used does not mean it was a bad edit and as you can see you have not been warned or anything it was just a simple revert restoring the page to what it should be. I will keep using twinkle (along with many others) as a tool for reverting edits that did not improve that articles. QED237 (talk) 14:02, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

I spent 5 minutes using provelt to add one from the Livingston website. It is the last time I use provelt. May be you could try viewing the club website and adding it. Red Jay (talk) 17:39, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

@Red Jay: Okay, I understand. I have never used proveIt myself, I do it manually, but I can understand that sometimes these things may not work as intended. I will remove my warning on your talkpage. QED237 (talk) 17:42, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
I saw now it was already removed. Sorry for warning so fast. QED237 (talk) 17:43, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
Haven't got time to do it manually now, in a library that closing, but the link I tried to add is http://www.livingstonfc.co.uk/team_profiles/team_boulding.php
I've acknowledged your warning, but removed it. It's okay I hadn't spotted what had happened. Red Jay (talk) 17:44, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

Can you please explain why Transfer Markt is not a reliable source when the stats are compiled by links and is used hundreds of times as official records stats for players? -User:Himynameismartyn87 (talk) 16:28, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

@Himynameismartyn87: Transfermarkt is not reliable for the same reason wikipedia itself can not be used as source. It is user edited so anyone can create an account and edit the stats and then use their own stats (via transfermarkt) to edit here. The case of transfermarkt has been discussed several times and WP:RSN (Reliable source noticeboard) and the result has been the same every time, not reliable. QED237 (talk) 15:46, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
@Qed237: Which sites would you quote as reliable then? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Himynameismartyn87 (talkcontribs)
@Himynameismartyn87: It depends on the player. Sometimes the national association can be reliable, like svenskfotboll.se for Swedish players or perhaps premier league for PL players. But I would probably look at Soccerway (that actually has a template Template:Soccerway), Soccerbase (Template:Soccerbase), ESPN or something. You can always look at other players for ideas, I saw Lionel Messi was sourced with bdfutbol.com. QED237 (talk) 15:56, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
@Qed237:i will use Soccerway from now on then!! User:Himynameismartyn87 (talk) 19:08, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
@Himynameismartyn87: That sounds good. If I were you, I would put reference at the timestamp instead of career totals, otherwise it looks great. Keep up the good work! QED237 (talk) 18:13, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

Alexis Sanchez

Hello, I am pretty new to editing on Wikipedia and wondered why you changed the photo I added to Alexis Sanchez's page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Edders527 (talkcontribs)

@Edders527: Hi and welcome to wikipedia. The main reason for why I reverted was to restore the article to a revision without the vandalism added by a vandal, saying that Alexis is Serbian and supports Serbia. Regarding the photo you added, it is nice, but in infoboxes it is better to have a image that shows head, neck and maybe top of chest. We dont need to see the legs as infobox then gets very long. However we might consider adding the image further down in the text. QED237 (talk) 18:38, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
@Qed237: Thank you very much for the help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Edders527 (talkcontribs)

2015–16 Premier League

Hello, I have not any source, but I can prove that I am correct. Stoke City has got 46 points, by that they can secure a premier league place next season. It is because the highest points for QPR and Burley are 41, that means Stoke City must have a higher position than them. And since Leister City are 28 points now, they must win all the matches on hand to get a higher position than Stoke City. However, since Leister City needs to play against Sunderland and by the fact that Leister City wins them, Sunderland can only get 44 points for the most, which means that either or both of Leister City and Sunderland will get a lower position than Stoke City! As a result, Stoke City can get at least 17th place and they have secured a position for next season Premier League. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Laino49000 (talkcontribs) 18:41, 18 April 2015 (UTC)

@Laino49000: First of all new talkpage posts always at the bottom (which you can read in the info on top of my talkpage). Secondly since this is WP:OR, with other words personal calculations, it can not be added unless verified by other users at the article talkpage. We can not add content based on our own calculations. QED237 (talk) 19:04, 18 April 2015 (UTC)

Okay, but truth is truth, Stoke City has secured a place for next season premier league! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Laino49000 (talkcontribs) 05:47, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

Possibly, I have not done all math but at the moment it is unsourced. QED237 (talk) 11:22, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

Side-Scrolling

I'd like to ask your opinion on something, in the article Side scrolling where it says its games that are viewed from the side, such as flappy bird, would you agree it would usually be called a side scrolling game where it is a fixed view from the side that cannot be adjusted, or could a game like Fifa be called side scrolling as you can view the gameplay from the side, although the camera angle can be changed would it be called a side scrolling game if the angle can be changed or would a side scrolling game be games that only have a fixed view, any thoughts on the subject? TeaLover1996 Lets talk about it 17:29, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

@TeaLover1996: I have no idea. This is something that should be discussed on article talkpage if you have questions. QED237 (talk) 16:32, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

Signature

If a user uses another editors signature:

  • A: Is it impersonation?
  • B: Am I right that it is prohibited to do so?
  • C: Is there a Wikipedia Policy outlining it?

Regards once again TeaLover1996 Lets talk about it 18:57, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

@TeaLover1996: Most info about signatures can be read at WP:SIGNATURES and using signature from others at WP:SIGFORGE, and it seems like it says it is impersonation and it is prohibited. You should never use another editors signature (but sometimes less experienced editors copy it in the middle of a text, then you replace it and let them know not to do that). QED237 (talk) 11:25, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

Test templates

Is there any spare place in Wikipedia where I can experiment with different templates? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Oldstone James (talkcontribs)

@Oldstone James: I dont think there is a special place. You can always create a sandbox for the template if it already exists and you can also use your own sandbox. Some info can be read at Wikipedia:Template sandbox and test cases. QED237 (talk) 11:18, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
@Oldstone James: If you go to your personal sandbox you can test templates there as well as testing other things as well, also like Qed237 has said you can create a sandbox for just testing templates, you can go to your personal sandbox by clicking here or look at the top right hand of your screen (if your on a computer or laptop) and click the Sandbox link, have fun :) TeaLover1996 Lets talk about it 19:06, 21 April 2015 (UTC)
@Oldstone James: To add, Do not create sandbox of templates that dont exists, then use personal sandboxes instead. QED237 (talk) 18:30, 21 April 2015 (UTC)

Changes to top goal scorer in 2014–15 season

Why are you keep changing to 38 the goals of Cristiano Ronaldo when the official page says 39? [1] --Mijcofr (talk) 20:08, 21 April 2015 (UTC)

@Mijcofr: Try reading my edit summary. At the bottom of the infobox it says "As of 11 April" and Cristiano Ronaldo had only 38 goals by that date. When you update the infobo you MUST UPDATE ENTIRE INFOBOX and also the DATE at the bottom to let other editors know when stats are correct and updated. Next time UPDATE THE DATE AND THE REST OF THE INFOBOX. QED237 (talk) 20:13, 21 April 2015 (UTC)

Not a very good reason, 4.1 Top goalscorers Cristiano Ronaldo 39. So you prefer to have 2 different stats? LET'S CHANGE THE DATE! --Mijcofr (talk) 21:43, 21 April 2015 (UTC)

@Mijcofr: It is a very good reason. You inserted factual errors and that should be reverted immediately. QED237 (talk) 21:59, 21 April 2015 (UTC)

Edit (Alen Halilovic)

I watch segunda division regularly, I edited the number of games played by Alen Halilovic (22) but you have changed it to 20 games. You can also check the number of games played by him during 2014/15 season here => http://www.transfermarkt.com/alen-halilovic/leistungsdaten/spieler/226074 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 175.110.225.44 (talk) 17:04, 22 April 2015 (UTC)

The numbers are probably right but you have to updat the timestamp to let editors know when it was updated. After your edits it says "as of 23 March" which is not true. Please update the timestamps (dates). Also please note that transfermarkt is not a reliable source. QED237 (talk) 17:16, 22 April 2015 (UTC)

Posted updated pictures in good faith and as a fellow "sportsnerd"

Looking to understand why the updated pictures that I provided for Jackson Martinez were removed. I am a bit new to editing but I think I did the right thing. I own the pictures I supplied. Any specific reason they were denied? Anything I can do on my end for these to be approved? Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ilovecoffee123 (talkcontribs) 03:03, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

@Ilovecoffee123: Wikipedia are very hard on copyright, especially on images, and you must be able to "prove" that they are your own images (taken by your camera). The images you uploaded could be seen directly on a google search and they had been used in newsarticled making it hard to believe they where yours. Did you take those pictures with your own camera or how do you mean you own the pictures? QED237 (talk) 13:59, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

Watford

Hello QED237,

I accept that I made a mistake re Watford and promotion. However, I strongly resent your allegation of "persistent vandalism". The very fact that I added a note saying why I was making these edits, even if it was erroneous, as I now accept, disproves the accusation that I was deliberately setting out to cause a nuisance, which is essentially what vandalism is. I had even double checked this season's Championship standing on Wikipedia to make sure that I was correct. Obviously, I was in the wrong and I accept that, but it is not fair to put a simple misunderstanding in the same category as somebody deliberately setting out to cause trouble. I hope that this will be the end of the matter and that this can be resolved amicably.

Regards, YoungIreland (talk) 18:51, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

Sorry If I was to fast to warn, but you were persistent in removing Watford when many others added them, you should have realized something was wrong. Sorry for warning that fast. QED237 (talk) 20:25, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

Pac (wrestler) - Please assume good faith

Are we looking at the same talk page? The failed move request was from over a year ago, and from the discussion it seems a lot has changed in the subject's career since then. The recent discussion indicates an agreement to move it to Neville (wrestler). What amuses you by my, as an uninvolved party, taking another editor's request in good faith? There was a discussion. Why are you reverting rather than discussing? --Hadal (talk) 20:43, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

Again I ask, are we looking at the same talk page? There IS no open request. It was never properly listed at WP:RM, and the discussion started in JANUARY 2015. Did you read the talk page? The only voice that was in opposition is now in open agreement with "Neville (wrestler)." By the way, if you're going to move pages you really should fix the double redirects you create. --Hadal (talk) 20:55, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

I feel pretty upset that my request has lead to this and that QED has acted so rashly and accused me of not reading the talk page when in fact he himself did not read it properly. 78.148.234.205 (talk) 21:02, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

The page has a denied request and is not "uncontroversial" so it shall not be moved as such. Pretty simple. If you want it moved, open a proper request. QED237 (talk) 21:06, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

The denial is very old and things have changed a lot since then. In the new request there is one oppose and he has now retracted it. With all due respect, you are the one who is making it controversial, if you change your mind on that then the controversy is gone. 78.148.234.205 (talk) 21:12, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

I am not making it anything, if article has a proper request granted, then there are no issues. I wont change my mind as it may be seen as controversial. QED237 (talk) 21:17, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

I've done the request now, I do think you owe an apology to the guy who did the move for how you spoke to him though. 78.148.234.205 (talk) 21:26, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

Please dont tell me what to do. I was right to question the move, but I did not intend to upset anyone so sorry if anyone got offended by that. Still I would never have made a move as "uncontroversial" seeing it has been denied before and that there are current "oppose" -votes. Pages should not be moved around to easy. So sorry if anyone feel offended or upset, that was not what I was trying to do. QED237 (talk) 21:35, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
I wasn't telling you what to do, I was just pointing out I think you used some inappropriate language, mainly to the guy who moved it (you called his actions amusing). I respect your apology, and I can see you didn't mean to cause offence. 78.148.234.205 (talk) 21:39, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
I wrote on the talkpage of the editor as well. Good luck with the move request. QED237 (talk) 21:45, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

Just wondering...

Not trying to come across as mean at all, but do you live on Wikipedia? You're never not online, it seems! :P - J man708 (talk) 22:27, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

@J man708: Sometimes it feels like I do! I am not online all the time, but I am online in many shorter periods. I tend to update my watchlist now and then to see if something interesting has happened, but I am not on wikipedia all the time. QED237 (talk) 22:49, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
Sometimes I may be on wiki too much. QED237 (talk) 22:50, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
It's one of those things where you intend on just going on to read and then spend seven hours building pages on the Greenlandic Men's Championship of 2004. I think I may be an addict. - J man708 (talk) 23:00, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
Exactly, I have been stuck today. QED237 (talk) 23:02, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
It's still probably the lesser of two evils, as opposed to being so busy that you're not finding the downtime to do something like Wikipedia. - J man708 (talk) 23:12, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
Could be, as long wikipedia dont take time you need irl. QED237 (talk) 22:25, 26 April 2015 (UTC)

Name

I may have already asked this but there is an account on Wikipedia named Qed is this another account or is it your old one? TeaLover1996 (talk) 01:59, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

@TeaLover1996: That account has nothing to do with me. QED is a latin shortening for Quod Erat Demonstrandum used when things should be proved, so I guess other people have found it interesting. QED237 (talk) 14:47, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

PellèLong

 Done - I've also issued them a warning. GiantSnowman 17:53, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

@GiantSnowman: Thank you very much. QED237 (talk) 18:06, 27 April 2015 (UTC)
Jeez, that one was awful, I've blocked them. GiantSnowman 18:17, 27 April 2015 (UTC)
Yes, it was not pretty. QED237 (talk) 18:21, 27 April 2015 (UTC)

Hello there !

Well Mr.revert !! Hello!! first of all let me say I am sorry about last revert after everything i found out myself you were correct about it. but this is could be really avoided if you could easily explained this on my talk page or on the page talk page why you reverted it .

2nd .. Seriously man do you need to send a threaten with every revert with TW or threaten for banning or something ? :) I really think it adds more tension for any discussion right ?I know you are trying to improve wikipedia but sometimes you are acting aggressively which leads to misunderstanding especially when you revert without explaining .. I believe .

again sorry for the mess you were this time correct and there is no shame i admit I was wrong accept my apology .=)

Happy Editing .

Adnan (talk) 05:31, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

@Adnan n2: Hi!
I probably could have been better at explaining, I just assumed that you would take a second look at the article and see the rank for the nations, but it was wrong of me to assume that.
Secondly I do not threaten at every revert, did I threaten you? I will take your opinion to consideration, but I believe the warnings are correct and I try and not template regular editors (unless it is very clear).
No problem, your apology are accepted, I understand the confusion that may exist about the subject (one of the reasons you were not warned).
Happy editing to you to. QED237 (talk) 09:34, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

Mike Tindall - was trying to add the below but a tag was wrong?

In April 2015 Tindall became a brand ambassador for online bookmaker Betway. Tindall will feature in the firm’s advertising and promotional materials as well as some media appearances. He will also provide unique content for Betway’s blog in the run-up to the World Cup, the autumn internationals and next year’s Six Nations http://www.sbcnews.co.uk/marketing/2015/04/09/mike-tindall-joins-betway-ahead-of-2015-rugby-world-cup/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Patrickmcgowan1989 (talkcontribs)

@Patrickmcgowan1989: Yes the ref-tags was wrong. Every reference must start with <ref> and end with </ref>. I have corrected it and restored the content you removed. QED237 (talk) 14:27, 28 April 2015 (UTC)

Hello. diff. Let's see in 2014–15 Russian Cup, both finalists are defined. What's wrong? --Brateevsky (talk to me) 16:04, 1 May 2015 (UTC)

@Brateevsky: We only list teams that actually has qualified and not finalists. QED237 (talk) 16:07, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
OK. On 21 May it will be clear. --Brateevsky (talk to me) 16:12, 1 May 2015 (UTC)
Yes it will, we have to wait until then. QED237 (talk) 16:16, 1 May 2015 (UTC)

2015 IIHF World Championship#Hidden bracket

You are invited to join the discussion at 2015 IIHF World Championship#Hidden bracket. Reply to your edit summary. It is thoroughly explained. It is empty content. Thanks. Callmemirela (Go Habs Go!) 23:31, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

@Callmemirela: It is not empty content as it shows what teams will meet, like A1-B4 and so on. QED237 (talk) 23:37, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

That edit

I was watching the match and once it ended I saw the link of highest scorers so I updated it (only changed Messi from Ronaldo). I did not realise that other matches were on that match day as well and that one needed to update the entire box with various changes at the end of the day. Sorry, I just was not aware of how things worked there and I will take care of it next time. Thanks. — Yash! (Y) 00:13, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

@Yash!: No worries, you are not the first person and not the last person who has missed that. Many misses to update the timestamp, but it is really important otherwise other editors may think "oh, not updated" and add the same goal a second time. QED237 (talk) 00:18, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

Vandalism

Good day @Qed237: I saw you have warned this user several times. He's at it again. Just thought you should know. BlueworldSpeccie (talk) 19:32, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

@BlueworldSpeccie: Okay, thanks for the information. I saw one edit earlier he made and that edit was good, but I will take a look. Oncea again, thank you for letting me know about the situation. QED237 (talk) 19:50, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
@Qed237: I just looked at him again and I made a mistake. It wasn't him it was a different user. My bad. BlueworldSpeccie (talk) 19:55, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
@BlueworldSpeccie: No problem, everyone makes mistakes. No harm done. QED237 (talk) 19:56, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

Premier League

Were you annoyed at that user for his edit? TeaLover1996 (talk) 23:11, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

@TeaLover1996: Yes, a little bit. He was blocked for 3 days recently (it ended two days ago) for adding unsourced content and editing disruptive, after adding Bournmouth to 2015-16 Premier League when they had not qualified and many other unsourced edits. And now he did the same thing so I was a bit annoyed that he never learns. QED237 (talk) 00:51, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
Strange, how can someone say a team is promoted or has won a cup when they haven't done so, like you said editors should wait until it has happened before making changes to articles. TeaLover1996 (talk) 04:24, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
@TeaLover1996: I have some understanding, it is not every day a team catches 3points and 20 goals in one match, but they should learn after the first time and not do it again. One time is nothing and easy to assume good faith but if they continue it can get annoying. QED237 (talk) 10:26, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

Problem

I have a problem I hope you can help with, I have the clock gadget enabled in the top right hand corner of my screen which is 1 hour slower than the time where I am because of time zones, so which time do I go with mine or the one on the clock? TeaLover1996 (talk) 04:35, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

@TeaLover1996: Hmm, I have never used clock gadget. I will take a look later when I have the time. QED237 (talk) 10:27, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
Oh, I understand now. That clock shows UTC so with that you can see what time it is UTC and compare with talkpage posts and see how long ago they were added. You can probably set it to other timezone in preferences if you want. I never use that clock. QED237 (talk) 10:30, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

Taulant Xhaka

Hallo Qed237, you state: If he was always a Basel player it should not be split only because of a loan. I ask you why (???) The Infobox is for the footballers playing career in chronological order, a loan means that the career is continued somewhere else. Loans definitely do interrupt career at the owner club. Also, my figures of games and goals are correct, please see his profile at: Swiss Football League homepage. I have also repaired this link. Greetings --Huligan0 (talk) 20:16, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

@Huligan0: The infobox years are contract years and as a player still has contract with the old club during a loan, he is considered active in that club. Also please read the example at Template:Infobox football biography that has player "Tim Template" at Template Rangers 2009-2012 with a loan on 2011. The example use for how to use the template is not separated and that is not how it has ever been done. QED237 (talk) 20:19, 3 May 2015 (UTC)
Hallo Qed237, I'm not interested in an argument about an "attribute". It's the figures that explain the history (!!!) The number of games, goals and the date that you re-inserted with your revert are all incorrect. That's non-productive. And you did the same with Fabian Frei, totally incorrect infos. I send you friendly greetings (with a productive wish) --Huligan0 (talk) 21:56, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
@Huligan0: You were the one changing the clubs (split in two), I just restored a better version. QED237 (talk) 21:59, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
...with outdated infos. Like I said, non-productive... --Huligan0 (talk) 22:30, 4 May 2015 (UTC)
I disagree, it was productive to restore article to a better version. QED237 (talk) 22:35, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

Username

Did you want to be called Qed but because there was someone already named it you added the 237 on the end? TeaLover1996 (talk) 01:36, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

@TeaLover1996: I cant remember that, it was a long time ago. QED237 (talk) 09:44, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

Signature

If a user is repeatedly not signing their posts is there a place they can be reported or can you only keep warning them about it? TeaLover1996 (talk) 11:38, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

@TeaLover1996: You should try and inform them first and if they dont understand keep informing them. I would probably not report to WP:AIV, but if it goes on maybe you could inform admins at WP:ANI but I am not sure. QED237 (talk) 11:04, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

Times

When I make an edit in the history does it show the time as my time zone or as UTC? TeaLover1996 (talk) 12:07, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

@TeaLover1996: In the page history it is your time. QED237 (talk) 11:10, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

References in Articles

I looked in one of your talk page archives and you made a fair point when responding to a users question, you said that if an editor adds content to an article it is their responsibility to add a source to it, and that you cant go round looking for references to other users edits, also did you mean you cant as in it is against a Wikipedia policy or as it in it would be impossible for you to do so as it would be to hard? Like I said great point :) TeaLover1996 (talk) 12:17, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

I meant that it would take me to much time and power to look for sources. That time is better spent here on wikipedia, than looking for a source for a article. QED237 (talk) 11:19, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
It would be impossible for any editor even the most experienced of editors to look for sources for other users editors, plus why should they, if an editor adds or changes content in an article then it is surely their responsibility to add sources to back it up? TeaLover1996 (talk) 12:25, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
Yes it is. QED237 (talk) 11:26, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

Shirak

From looking at the Armenian league table, it looks as if they have qualified as they cannot finish worse than fourth. Double-check if you think I am wrong. I won't edit the Europa League page again in case I am wrong. Thanks. Equineducklings (talk) 18:05, 6 May 2015 (UTC)

@Equineducklings: We dont add teams until they have actually qualified for EL by winning a domestic cup, or if they have qualified based on league position (and can not reach champions league). We did not add Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munchen and so on when they were assured of at least europa league because they never really qualified. Otherwise we would have to add every Champions League team also while they are in EL spots, before going to CL. QED237 (talk) 18:11, 6 May 2015 (UTC)
That makes sense. As long as I have been editing, it is odd that I have not noticed that before. Equineducklings (talk) 18:15, 6 May 2015 (UTC)

2015 IIHF World Championship - CEZ arena

Hello, there is wrong information about the capacity of CEZ Arena in Ostrava. The normal capacity is really 10.004 but for the IIHF world championship it was reduced just on the number 8.812 seats. In the news or even in the arena during the game you can get the information that there are 8.812 visitors and it is sold out. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.13.14.134 (talk) 13:29, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

Do you have any source for that? I cant find anything. QED237 (talk) 15:13, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

tables for IIHF world championships

left a note on the talk page there but got no responses so I thought I would ask you. The way the standings are presented for group play are incorrect, as it says here "The overall bottom ranked two teams will be relegated to the 2016 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division I Group A" and in Statutes and Bylaws section 700, the host is awarded the right to participate. So hypothetically, by the rules, two teams from the same group could be relegated. I don't believe this is a big problem, it may never happen, but it could.18abruce (talk) 00:08, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

@18abruce: Okay I will answer at the article talkpage so everyone can see the response. I did not know that and we should definately try and sort it out. QED237 (talk) 09:45, 5 May 2015 (UTC)
Just wondering, since Russia can no longer be relegated is the note still relevent.18abruce (talk) 20:09, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
@18abruce: I would say no, it can be removed if Russia can no longer finsh in last place. QED237 (talk) 20:33, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

Leagues & Divisons

You know that teams like Bournemouth and Watford have been promoted, so I was wondering when should there articles be edited to say exactly that? TeaLover1996 (talk) 03:01, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

When season is over. QED237 (talk) 10:57, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
Does that count for relegated teams as well? TeaLover1996 (talk) 12:57, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
Yes, the season must have ended. I would have waited until all teams in that league are finished (including playoffs) but I know some editors dont wait for playoffs. But season should have ended first (if you are talking about infobox update). QED237 (talk) 12:07, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
If it is the prose saying they have been promoted or relegated it can be said before if there are a reliable source. QED237 (talk) 12:08, 8 May 2015 (UTC)

Interview request

Hi, would you be interested in answering a few questions about your efforts in maintaining the Wikipedia football pages for a football magazine? If interested please contact me and I'll look forward to providing more info. Thanks! Nothingnet (talk) 15:59, 8 May 2015 (UTC)

@Nothingnet: I must kindly decline your offer, I am not interested. QED237 (talk) 16:03, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
@Qed237: OK, thanks for your time. Nothingnet (talk) 16:09, 8 May 2015 (UTC)

If you remember, at the World Cup, there was a banner at the top of the editing screen to tell people not to update live scores. Could we get one of them for Memphis Depay because the message isn't going through to some people that he is still at PSV. '''tAD''' (talk) 16:04, 8 May 2015 (UTC)

@The Almightey Drill: Yes I remember, I created that banner =). The problem with an WP:EDITNOTICE is that it can only be added by template editors and administrators but if there is interest we can request one to be added. I think we should take it to the article talkpage first and if no editor opposes we can create one (I can do the work). We can also go to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football and see if there is interest to create a template (like Template:Livescores editnotice) that can be used on many similar articles and not only Depay. QED237 (talk) 17:24, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
Thanks, this is always the most disruptive part of the football editors' year, ranging from disruption by thinking a transfer has concluded, to blatant vandalism. I can remember having to revert people thinking Stefan De Vrij had joined Manchester United AFTER he had joined Lazio! Best wishes '''tAD''' (talk) 17:44, 8 May 2015 (UTC)

Survey

Just some questions about your time here on Wikipedia, you don't have to answer them if you don't want to just reply that you don't want to.

  • How long have you been on Wikipedia?
  • How many hours do you spend a day on Wikipedia?
  • Do you have a preference on what articles you particularly like to edit
  • Do you hope to be on Wikipedia for many years to come?

Thanks again :) TeaLover1996 (talk) 12:51, 9 May 2015 (UTC)

Not my favourite topic, I like to edit more than talk about myself as that dont help wikipedia but I can gice you a few answers.
  • Cant remember, 1.5-2 years maybe
  • Too many
  • Sports
  • Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I have to cut down my hours.
Thats enough info. QED237 (talk) 12:04, 9 May 2015 (UTC)

I hope to be here for a long time too. Good times TeaLover1996 (talk) 13:11, 9 May 2015 (UTC)

Okay, have fun QED237 (talk) 12:17, 9 May 2015 (UTC)

Maintenance

Does it annoy you sometimes when rather than improve an article they place maintenance tags on it? TeaLover1996 (talk) 13:45, 9 May 2015 (UTC)

Not at all, I place a lot of maintenance tags myself. Sometimes you have to add a source tag if you can not find source it yourself (for something someone else added). QED237 (talk) 12:47, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
@Qed237:, I know about that just surely a tag should only be if they cant find anything at all? TeaLover1996 (talk) 13:49, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
A tag should be added if something needs improving. You might see something but not have time to fix it yourself. QED237 (talk) 12:54, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
True you cant fault someone for not having the time to fix something, they are not required to do it, Wikipedia is only voluntary after all TeaLover1996 (talk) 13:57, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
So true, we are all volunters. QED237 (talk) 13:05, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
