Hello. I see you were the last person to make a 'tramway' edit, as opposed to a 'technical' edit concerning Wiki syntax or similar to the Grimsby District Light Railway article, so I wonder if you can help me.
I set out to write about the GDLR and was very pleased to see an article already existed. My delight soon turned to bafflement when I read the article. The contents are fine, except for one problem: as far as I can see they are nothing at all to do with the GDLR!
By analogy, it is as if the article is titled "Manchester United Football Club" and the contents are about Manchester City Football Club.
The text describes the Gt Grimsby Tramways and makes no mention of the GDLR, which is hardly surprising, as they had no connection, either physical or organisational. The only whiff of a connection was before things got off the ground when there was talk of end-on connections, but these never materialised. The GDLR was a part of the Great Central Railway, Grimsby Tramways weren't.
Maybe I've got all this wrong and you can correct me. If I'm right, then have you any idea how to disentangle the mixture? My instincts would be to create an article with the title Great Grimsby Tramways etc... then copy these contents over and fill the GDLR with appropriate text, but I'm told this is a Wikicrime.
Can you think of a way forward?
