Welcome[edit]

Hello, Quellatizia and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students. Go through our online training for students

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! Adam9007 (talk) 00:44, 1 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Adam9007:, thank you for the useful information and for your time.
I'll do my best! Quellatizia (talk) 03:08, 4 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

See also links[edit]

Please note that links added to "see also" sections should be valid, existing articles and not redlinks. I see that you appear to be working on Waste Management in Australia in your sandbox. Since this is not a live article, it should not be added to the "See also" sections of any articles. When and if you do eventually move it to article space, note that "management" should not be capitalised, i.e. the article should be at Waste management in Australia. Your sand box draft does contain a number of punctiuation problems, specifically that per WP:REFPUNCT punctuation is place before references, not after as is the case with your draft. There are several other issues with your draft so I recommend that you have it reviewed before it becomes an article. --AussieLegend () 19:51, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

    • Sorry I read it just now. I see, thank you for your clarification. I will change the punctuation of my references, but could you help me figuring out what other problems are? At the moment I am working on the header section. After that I will try to include more graphs and images (like those for the labeling system), then I will work on missing paragraphs, as that for China -which had had a strong impact on the waste management system lately. I will then improve each sections with more material (and, therefore, more references), as for the moment they only represent a quite broad overview. Should I focus on something else? 江波 ~ quellatizia (talk) 09:47, 1 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
      • Most of the errors are general punctuation and grammar errors like "Australia regulates the waste management on both federal and state-specific basis", which should be "Australia regulates waste management on both a federal and state-specific basis" or "Australia regulates waste management at both federal and state level". There is also "meters" instead of "metres" and some excessive capitalisation. ":The 26th of January 1788 was the day" is also incorrect. It should not be indented and dates need to comply with MOS:DATE, so that entry would be better as "26 January 1788 was the day" or "Sydney Cove became the place of the first permanent, European settlement in Australia on 26 January 1788." I'm sure you'll pick up most of the rest as time goes on. --AussieLegend () 10:39, 1 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

June 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Adam9007 (talk) 13:01, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Changes to the article[edit]

As I said on my talk page, there were quite a few things that needed to be fixed.[3] For what was changed in each edit, you'll need to check the edit history. One peculiar issue was the use of "[[Sydney Cove|.]]" at the end of 101 sentences instead of just a period. --AussieLegend () 15:23, 4 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, sorry about that -it's a long story ^^" Is there a way to delete all the links from a page, or from a selected section? 江波 ~ quellatizia (talk) 01:19, 5 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Happy Earth Day!

Hello! Wishing you a Happy Earth day on the behalf of WikiProject Environment and WikiProject Ecology.
