Links to draft articles[edit]

Information icon Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to Harverd Dropout and Lil Pump 2. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 12:56, 19 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add entries without articles to templates[edit]

Hello. Regarding your edits to Template:Lil Pump, please see WP:EXISTING. Navigational templates are for links to existing articles. They are not intended to be discographies or a comprehensive list of all an artist's releases. Thanks. Ss112 23:39, 20 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from D Rose (song) into Lil Pump (album). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 19:57, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your move of Lil Pump (album)[edit]

Hi there. I'm just letting you know that I reverted your move of Lil Pump (album) because it was requested at Wikipedia:Requested moves#Requests to revert undiscussed moves by User:TheAmazingPeanuts. Before moving an article, it's best to check the talk page first (Talk:Lil Pump (album)) to see if there has been any previous or ongoing discussion of the article title. In this case, there have been several past discussions; the most recent was in favour of "album" vs. "mixtape". If you still feel the article should be renamed, you are welcome to list the move request at WP:RM. WP:RM is a formalized way of gaining consensus in potentially controversial situations such as this. I strongly suggest you seek such a discussion before any further move actions (or, for that matter, any related wording changes within the article). --Hadal (talk) 16:05, 25 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello RXLFZ! Your additions to No Stylist (mixtape) have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. 1AmNobody24 (talk) 14:26, 1 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Destory Lonely If Looks Could Kill CD cover.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Destory Lonely If Looks Could Kill CD cover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:14, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Destroy Lonely 2023.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://www.thehypemagazine.com/2023/03/photos-opening-day-of-rolling-loud-california/simonchasalow-simonchasalow-destroy-lonely-9/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. reppoptalk 16:12, 12 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox chronologies[edit]

You don't need to unnecessarily add extra chronologies in infoboxes; they are only used for collaborative albums. There was a discussion on it awhile ago. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 18:56, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop changing lead artists to featured artists[edit]

This would require a discussion and for the title of Popular (The Weeknd, Playboi Carti and Madonna song) to be changed. Please seek consensus before changing Carti's status as a lead artist on the song again. Thank you. Ss112 07:14, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop citing the blog RatingsGameMusic[edit]

For most albums, we are not in such dire need for sources that we would need to dip into using random blogs like RatingsGameMusic that doesn't look like it has any semblance of experienced critics writing for it (most articles are written by the creator, "Quincy"), let alone any real editorial team working for it. Please stop citing it, like you did here, as I will remove it wherever I find it, so you are wasting your time adding it. Thank you. Ss112 04:38, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for October 30[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Die Lit, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gunna. Playboi Carti birth year dispute[edit]

Hey @RXLFZ - I've noticed you're a continuous editor of Playboi Carti and his related pages and wanted to ask your perspective on the ongoing dispute over his birth year. I've been involved in the dispute for a few months while now, and stated my perspective over in this thread. Thanks, EphemeralPerpetuals (they/them)talk 16:34, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I could see why the dispute over his birth year is still ongoing, but Playboi Carti himself did state that he was born in 1995 in the bodycam footage that recently surfaced. His birth year can also be seen on his old driving license, which shows that his birth year is actually 1995.
Here's the link for the proof: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FIUCZKgUcAMjZY_.jpg RXLFZ (talk) 19:27, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
While that makes sense, I'm not sure if those sources are reliable enough to meet policy, especially WP:BLPRS. I've started a dispute resolution case discussing this - it's likely worth you keeping an eye on it to give your perspective. If you wanted, I could add you to the "users involved" section to give your perspective. EphemeralPerpetuals (they/them)talk 19:34, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Adding sales figures to Playboi Carti discography[edit]

Hello. Regarding this edit, those are not sales figures, they are from the certification thresholds (what each certification equals). I'm sure you're aware but certifications are not based purely on sales in 2024, nor from the late 2010s onwards, when streaming has been dominant and physical sales are at a fairly weak point. They are now mostly based on stream units, and also still include physical shipments (to stores, meaning copies not sold), so we cannot call what those certifications equal "sales", so they have been removed. Thanks. Ss112 06:30, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't make unexplained replacements[edit]

Regarding this edit, I would hope you would leave edit summaries explaining fairly contentious edits like this. I uploaded the Capo Plaza remix version cover because that actually charted—in Italy, it was this version that charted—whereas I don't think the version with Lil Pump registered anywhere at all. In fact, you basically appear to have copied the same non-free use rationale template that I used for my remix image, even citing the Capo Plaza version link as where you got the Lil Pump image from. Your version did not need to be uploaded and has been reverted. If you wish to restore it, follow WP:BRD and open a discussion on the article talk page about how the remix version featuring a rapper who fell off is more important than a popular Italian rap artist's version that actually charted. Also please don't make edits like this without explanation in future. Thank you. Ss112 17:00, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Playboi Carti indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. plicit 14:53, 29 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Overseas (Ken Carson song)[edit]

Hello RXLFZ,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Overseas (Ken Carson song) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the album, song or discography is significant enough to be included in an encyclopedia, and the artist doesn't have an article of their own.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Deletion discussion about Overseas (Ken Carson song)[edit]

Hello RXLFZ, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Overseas (Ken Carson song), should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Overseas (Ken Carson song).

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Bastun}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!
