Hello Allan! Thanks for your warm welcome message. I had been a Wikipedia user for some time. Have been thinking of contributing here as a 'thank you gesture' and to take the cause further. I like the collaborative nature of Wikipedia. Started contributing only recently and constantly learning the right ways to do so. Regarding the proposal at Talk:Computer security[edit]

The {{helpme}} tag is more for questions about how to use Wikipedia (like "How do I sign", or "where can I find out about linking", etc.). This is an article proposal. In general, for a proposal like this you explain what you think should happen, like you have done, and wait a little while for a response. If a page seems inactive like this one, you can post the question/proposal in other places like, in this case Wikipedia:WikiProject Computing and there could be other appropriate places. Usually, someone will respond. If no one happens to be interested in it or doesn't have any good ideas they want to add, then use your best judgement to do what you think is right for an encyclopedia. If, after receiving no comments, you are not sure what exactly would be good to merge (or anything else), consider filing an article "request for comment" at WP:RFC. During a discussion of the Career domains in computer science article over at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Computer science someone pointed out that the article seems more like the skeleton of a Wikibook than an encyclopedia article. Have you considered starting a wikibook on careers in CS, and moving the material you have so far over there? It may be a better venue for the type of material you seem interested in putting together (although you may want to check Wikibooks policy to ensure that such a book would conform). It would also provide a handy reference that we could link to from places like the Computer science article. Just a thought. --Allan McInnes (talk) 04:44, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Network Security[edit]

Hi Ranoo,

Thanks for the invite to review the nextwork security article. This is not exactly the core area of my research right now so I may ask someone more qualified to have a look. I have tried to contribute some content to the "Computer security" page, mainly because it is the redirect from "Software security" which is my area of expertise.
