Wikifying[edit]

It is not necessary to link ever instance of the name Voldemort. Thank you for your efforts though. --LV (Dark Mark) 05:26, 15 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ed (Ed, Edd, n Eddy) has been proposed for deletion. Please see the article for details. NickelShoe 18:39, 4 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

On Wheels![edit]

Oh, I see, what you did was accidently create an article called "WWWWWILLLYYYYYONNNNWWWWWHEEEELLSSSSSSISSSSSSSBBAAAACCCCCKKKKKWIIIITTTHHHHHIIIRRRAATTTTEEE", so I assumed you were Willy, users pages are in the user namespace, that is they have User: infront of them, but that you seemed to have fixed. However I see no record of a user named "WWWWWILLLY...." in the New user log, where did you see this user name? (remember capitalization counts!)

Prodego talk 23:05, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think what happened was that a user named Dewliner moved the page User:Mike Rosoft to "WWWWWILLLYYYY...". There is no user with "WWWWWILLLYYYY..." as a name, but when you clicked the link that you thought was the username it took you to the article where User:Mike Rosoft was moved. Mistaking it for a userpage you left the test message. No need to worry, Dewliner has been blocked. Happy editing! Prodego talk 23:17, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Also, you can find some vandal fighting tools you might be interested in using at WP:RCP and WP:CVU, good luck catching vandalism! Prodego talk 23:20, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Balzac v. Porto Rico[edit]

This is the official name of record for this court case -- we should not change the name of a court case to reflect current spelling preferences. olderwiser 13:20, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I see you are doing a good job of warning vandals for us. I followed up and blocked a few of those you picked up on who were still at it. If you need help from an admin for a persistent vandal, don't forget to use WP:AIV. A lot more about vandal fighting can be found at WP:VAND, there are a lot of resources and support for vandal fighter. I often check a users contributions to see how persistent they are (and catch some more bits of vandalism they have been up to on other articles). Keep up the good work. Tawkerbot2[edit]

Its fully automatic, if they vandalize it will fix it, no intervention required from me. The question of does the bot pick it up as vandalism well, thats another question but if its bad enough the bot will auto revert. Cheers! -- Tawker 00:29, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RfA Results and Thanks[edit]

Raichu/Archive1, thank you for your constructive neutral comments in my recent RfA. Although it did not succeed as no consensus was declared (final: 65/29/7), I know that there is always an opportunity to request adminship again. In the meantime, I will do my best to address your concerns in the hope that when the opportunity for adminship arises once again, you will reconsider your position. If at any time I make any mistakes or if you would like to comment on my contributions to Wikipedia, you are more than welcome to do so. Regardless of your religious, cultural, and personal beliefs, I pray that whatever and whoever motivates you in life continues to guide you on the most righteous path.

My RfA[edit]

Thanks for giving your opinion on my RfA. You say "I am the world's biggest inclusionist, so I can't vote Support." I hope I can change your mind by pointing out that, despite the insouciant remark by John Reid, my AfD record is hardly that of a deletionist. If there's something good about an article, or if the topic is encyclopedic, I vote to keep. To cite a few recent examples, take a look at my votes for Jason M. Dahl, California-Nevada Interstate Maglev, MotoModders, British fried chicken outlets, Hal Robinson, Comparison of 21st century fighter aircraft, Hollywood cross, Charlotte Fusion, or List of NFL Draft steals. I'd be grateful if you'd reconsider your neutral vote. Regards, ProhibitOnions 17:48, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Changing votes[edit]

Thanks for writing! Changing votes works along the same lines as editing anything else on Wikipedia: You go to the page (in this case my RfA) and click on the Edit button at top right, and then enter the text following the pattern of the others. However, if you change a vote, you should add your new vote to the list just as if you had never voted, but also use strikethrough around your old vote (like this), so others can see you changed your mind. You add this by adding <s> before the old text and </s> after it. Hope this helps. If not, just holler. And thanks for reconsidering. Regards, ProhibitOnions 18:41, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ta-da![edit]

Thank you, Raichu/Archive1!
Thank you! ...for voting in my RFA. It passed with a result of 58/2/0. If you have any comments, or for some reason need any new-admin help, please let me know here. Regards, ProhibitOnions 22:59, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

clarification[edit]

That vandalism message I added to the top of your talk page was really meant to be posted under the "Oh, Wheels" section. When I saw that wheeellss page you created, I thought it was vandalism at first, although now I know that it is not. By the way I'm Iloveayu. I just changed my nickname. mirageinred 19:00, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RfA[edit]

Hey. I removed your RfA because you seem to be new around here. You misformed your request when making it, and your edit count is lower than most people's standards. I'd advise waiting for a few more months. — Ilyanep (Talk) 21:56, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I only see an oppose vote and a 'moral support' with the note suggest withdrawal. Try again in a few months and a few thousand more edits. Also, get more involved in the Wikipedia community; do things like AFD, Wikify, Esperanza, etc. I suggest you take the advice — Ilyanep (Talk) 23:11, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

By the Way...[edit]

Are you really a 4th grader? I think I started in 5th grade, so that's cool :) (I'm in 9th now) — Ilyanep (Talk) 20:58, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's really cool that there's kids out there who are mature enough to handle being an editor here and knowing the ropes (despite the few warnings, we all have to learn sometime).

and as nobody's properly welcomed you...

Welcome!

Hello, Raichu/Archive1, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

What?[edit]

Which page did I vandalize? --209.104.139.221 18:21, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Edit Conflict[edit]

I think it'll be interesting to see how sock puppet vandals react when he(MasterofPuppets) blocks them.

P.S. You're in 5th grade? Wow. Mature beyond your years. --D-Day(Wouldn't you like to be a pepper too?) 21:54, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm in fourth Grade. Jonathan235 20:01, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

May the Force be with you.[edit]

Dear Raichu/Archive1,

Thanks for voting on my RFA! I appreciate your faith in me, and was overwhelmed by the positive response to my RFA; for it shows that at least I'm doing something right. :) I've started working to improve myself already, and I hope that next time, things run better, and maybe, just maybe, one day we can bask on the shores of Admintopia together. Thanks and cheers, _-M o P-_ 21:48, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA[edit]

Hello Raichu/Archive1, and thanks for supporting me on my recent request for adminship! It has succeeded with an unanimous support of 67 votes, so that I am now an administrator. Please feel free to leave a note on my talk page should you wish to leave any comments or ask for any help. Again, thanks a lot, AndyZ t 22:04, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RfA nomination[edit]

Thanks Jonathan!

However, I don't think I'm prepared to take on such responsibility at this time. I deeply appreciate your encouragement, and I'll let you know if the situation changes.Timothy Usher 02:35, 8 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your "welcome" to Gator[edit]

Hi Jonathan, just a note about your "welcome" to Gator: it's sad indeed, but in a different way than you probably think. Gator had a problem with someone who harassed him in real life, and decided to leave Wikipedia. His user and talk pages were deleted, and tend to get deleted again quickly by admins these days whenever someone recreates them, in order to protect him, because the attacker used to post harassing messages there. Just thought it better if you knew. Cheers, Lukas (T.|@) 21:31, 8 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA[edit]

Hi Raichu/Archive1,

Thank you for any constructive criticism you may have given in my recent unsuccesful RFA. I will strive to overcome any shortcomings you may have mentioned & will try & prove myself worthy of your vote in the future.

Cheers

Sockpuppet block[edit]

How did you know about it? And what did you see in his contribs, aside from the fact that he was reverting articles to the previous versions of A rihani? Jayjg (talk) 05:28, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So you think it's common for new editors to suddenly start reverting articles to versions created by other editors? You wouldn't consider that a sign of sockpuppeting? I'm asking because you didn't initially say you thought the edits were "reasonable", but rather that you found no sign in his contribs that he was a sockpuppet. Jayjg (talk) 15:40, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What are you talking about? His last three edits were reverts to A rihani's versions of articles! [1] [2] [3] Considering that he only made 6 article edits in his total editing history, this is the most obvious kind of sockpuppet. Did you actually check his contribs? Jayjg (talk) 15:46, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I do not know why he left, you could ask him before he goes if you'd like, but hurry. Prodego talk 23:19, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'll stay on Wikipedia for a little while to respond to things around here. I was about to respond to you, but I got caught up in some things at WP:AN. Anyways, I am deactivating this account for various reasons. I have been subject to Wikistalking by User:Mcfly85. More reasons are ethnic disputes which I was in the middle of gone sour, general attitude problems from users, harrassment and the like. In real life, I have issues with User:AyameIkuyu who I love dearly. This all has resulted in me wanting to leave, which I am. Thank you for asking. Moe ε 23:30, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Closing AfDs[edit]

Hey Raichu, thanks for all the work you've done on en-wiki. In the future, if you're going to close AfDs as a non-admin, I'd read Deletion process as well as making sure that what you're closing really is no consensus, specifically Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Native Americans at Dartmouth College, which was really a consensus to delete. Thanks again!  RasputinAXP  c 15:07, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome![edit]

Welcome and Congratulations on joining the project! I'm sorry this welcome message took so long, but you joined during my Wikibreak, and I assumed that someone else would welcome you in the meantime. Still, that's no excuse, and I am most humbly sorry. Sergeant Snopake 21:23, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
