Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Indonesian occupation of East Timor into East Timor. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 22:39, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I see you are still not adding the required attribution, as required under the terms of the CC-by-SA license. Please have a look at this edit summary as an example of how it is done. Please leave a message on my talk page if you still don't understand what to do or why we have to do it. Thanks, — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 22:00, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry User:Diannaa, I forgot to add the attribution. I will avoid the mistake next time. Rantemario (talk) 23:13, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open![edit]

Hello, Rantemario. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

Remember that when adding content about health, please only use high-quality reliable sources as references. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations (There are several kinds of sources that discuss health: here is how the community classifies them and uses them). WP:MEDHOW walks you through editing step by step. A list of resources to help edit health content can be found here. The edit box has a built-in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN. We also provide style advice about the structure and content of medicine-related encyclopedia articles. The welcome page is another good place to learn about editing the encyclopedia. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a note. Jytdog (talk) 06:20, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your revert on the Taiwan article[edit]

The edit you reverted here was not vandalism as defined on Wikipedia in WP:VANDAL, which you linked in your edit summary. It was an attempt to tighten the section and more accurately represent the sources. I have re-instated the edit. If you have content-based objections to it, please state them. Kanguole 02:50, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have responded to your objections at Talk:Taiwan#Edit to Prehistory section. Kanguole 00:57, 22 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I have added a bit more – please discuss there. Kanguole 18:21, 15 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Larantuka Kingdom[edit]

Hi, I reverted your edit to the Indonesia article because the Larantuka Kingdom was only a minor entity, compared with the other topics in the list you added it to. Can I suggest that if you believe it is noteworthy that you create a Larantuka Kingdom article, with proper citations. Regards Davidelit (Talk) 14:08, 2 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I did some literature lookup when I made Kingdom of Larantuka and while it was an interesting tidbit of history, pretty sure its presence definitely didn't affect Indonesia's history to the point where it warrants its own era. Juxlos (talk) 15:40, 19 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you thank you thank you so much for creating Kingdom of Larantuka article! You are now officially my favorite contributor in Wikipedia. Menurut Anda bagaimana? Salam. Rantemario (talk) 20:34, 19 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

That's the thing. It's extremely notable but I don't think it's important enough in the grand scheme of things to make its own category in the template.

The main difference between it and many small unlisted polities is the fact that it considers itself a tributary of Portugal and is Catholic - not because it fought its way up until the 20th century (Aceh), say.

Tapi ya kalau menurut anda itu sesuai disana, satu kategori tersendiri, ya sudah.Juxlos (talk) 08:04, 20 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it is extremely notable and important. Maybe because there were many kingdoms in Indonesia, this one is overshadowed by the others. Dan, karena sudah sesuai dengan templat id:Templat:Sejarah Indonesia, menurut saya cocok ditempatkan di kategori sendiri (mau ditaruh dimana lagi?). Hey, sebelum kerajaan Hindu Buddha, Indonesia juga mempunyai its own Prehistoric societies, and have its own category. Wikipedia is all about spreading information, no matter how "big" or "small" it is. Rantemario (talk) 13:15, 21 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please note[edit]

Re: Indonesia

  • You have it all in the wrong order

You are likely to have sanctions (again) -

  • Accusing another editor of being a Vandal and Ownership in an edit summary - bad faith and WP:PA
  • Reverting another editor and saying take it to your personal talk page -
  • The subject actually is Indonesia - that is where the discussion is taken, not your talk page - that is Ownership on your part
  • Reverting in the way it was done is not Vandalism

Take care - hati hati - you need to understand the words more carefully - and their use. Your not touching the Indonesia article again and going to talk page and explaining in the talk page (as opposed to the edit summary) might show you can exercsie WP:AGF and show that you understand the mechanisms of what WP:NOT means. Thanks for that JarrahTree 09:11, 18 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Bittrex[edit]

Hello Rantemario,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Bittrex for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

This page should not be speedily deleted because... This is another cryptocurrency exchange like Kraken (bitcoin exchange), Coinbase, and Poloniex. Why does this article deemed "unimportant" and have to be deleted and the others not? --Rantemario (talk) 09:13, 28 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Cryptocurrency and Blockchain general sanctions[edit]

Please read this notification carefully, it contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

A community decision has authorised the use of general sanctions for pages related to the blockchain and cryptocurrencies. The details of these sanctions are described here. All pages that are broadly related to these topics are subject to a one revert per twenty-four hours restriction, as described here.

General sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimise disruption in controversial topic areas. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to these topics that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behaviour, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. An editor can only be sanctioned after he or she has been made aware that general sanctions are in effect. This notification is meant to inform you that sanctions are authorised in these topic areas, which you have been editing. It is only effective if it is logged here. Before continuing to edit pages in these topic areas, please familiarise yourself with the general sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

St Andrew's Cathedral, Singapore[edit]

Please do not put a non-official language in Singapore article. Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like you to assume good faith while interacting with other editors, which you did not do on National Hero of Indonesia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Accusing others of religious discrimination is a serious matter. If you believe I am "just removing Christian Indonesian heroes", you need to bring it up at ANI. As I said previously, the images were bleeding in to the footnotes, making the article look sloppy.  — Chris Woodrich (talk) 04:50, 22 §July 2018 (UTC)

User:Crisco 1492 What is your problem? What resolution are you in? The article looks fine in my 1366x768 monitor on Mac. If you think that those pictures are unnecessary, why don't you delete them all? Please find the middle ground so we both can agree in. Rantemario (talk) 06:54, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • My resolution is 1920*1080. When we are writing for Wikipedia, we need to recognize that our display resolution is not universal, and thus what shows up well for us will not necessarily show up well for everyone.
We are fortunate that, in the four years since this list passed Featured List, a lot of new images have become available. John Lie, for example, had no image of him until I found a copy of Jalesveva Jayamahe at the used books market; several of the other heroes are in a similar position. But we need to practice self-control.
That your thoughts go immediately to "all or nothing", and this after you accuse me of furthering an anti-Christian bias, suggests that we won't reach a "middle ground". The images in the list need more work than simple pruning (going back into alphabetical order, for example), and I don't see myself doing that with someone whose first response is to assume bad faith and accuse me of religious discrimination.  — Chris Woodrich (talk) 07:40, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rantemario, let me just add that you should really stop with the personal attacks, such as this and this. Drmies (talk) 16:05, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

OK guys I am sorry if I accused you of bad faith. Sometimes I'm a little bit aggressive in Wikipedia, you know, because of the vandals and stuff. :( Rantemario (talk) 05:48, 23 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Indodax has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no evidence of notability, negligible RS coverage

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. To sidestep the category tree and and add 'hinduism' - is not normal WP:CATEGORISATION practice, it gives undue emphasis of the balinese form over and above all the content forms of hinduism the other countries.

There is no explanation anywhere, in the article, your lack of edit summary, or anywhere, as to why the balinese form is something that requires emphasis over and above all other forms the practice in southeast or asia in generalJarrahTree 23:50, 24 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:LGBT saints requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. National varieties of English[edit]

Information icon Hello. In a recent edit to the page Catholic Church, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Notice

The article Bittrex has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Notability per GNG not established for tiny American cryptocurrency exchange. It has only been covered in industry or local media, which does not signal notability.

Hi, Your edits show a consistent endeavour to push a particular viewpoint. Threats aside, please remember that Wikipedia is not a platform to promote a specific belief system. Please discuss controversial changes. Thank you. Davidelit (Talk) 02:47, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I don't even have a bias or promote a faith on Wiki. I don't care. I always adhere to WP:NPOV. It is YOU that seem to keep deleting anything Christian. I don't care if you're converted Muslim now living in Indonesia. I really don't care about your religion. Just please don't do disruptive editing and reverting people's edits just because you feel like it. Rantemario (talk) 06:20, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. Well, there shouldn't be anything Christian on Wikipedia, any more than there should be anything capitalist, Islamic or communist. Wikipedia is about facts. I hope we can agree on that. You still need citations to back up changes. Thanks. Davidelit (Talk) 07:26, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rantemario! Not quite unrelated to the exchange above: I don't know if you have it on your watchlist, but an IP is up to a slow edit war[1] in Buginese people. Maybe you can help out to have an eye on it, because the POV-pushing goes in a similar direction. –Austronesier (talk) 18:20, 22 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, I'll add that article on my watchlist. Rantemario (talk) 06:45, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Indonesian province motto[edit]

May I know why you are removing the transcription of the provinces' motto without giving an explanation? For now I'll put it back until you can give a reasonable explanation. Thank you. Cal1407 (talk) 06:58, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hatnotes and see alsos[edit]

You have restored several hatnotes which purport to distingush Javanese things from Japanese things: [3]language, script, and people.

Keep in mind the purpose of hatnotes:

Mention other topics and articles only if there is a reasonable possibility of a reader arriving at the article either by mistake or with another topic in mind. [my emphasis]

It is not clear to me what scenario you have in mind -- perhaps that someone types "Javanese" into a search engine when they intended to type "Japanese"? That seems farfetched. Just because they're distinguished by a single letter doesn't mean that it's a common error.

Beyond that, you've also restored a See Also link on Indonesia-Japan relations to the Japanese people article. But the Indonesia-Japan relations article is about states, not about individuals. That change was reverted by another editor, and I hope you'll accept that as consensus.

I don't know your motivations, but all this certainly smells like spam -- trying to increase the visibility of Java-related articles by linking to them from Japan-related articles. --Macrakis (talk) 20:01, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

it is YOU what is your problem. that disambiguation links to avoid people confusing javanese and Japanese have been there since forever. why did u suddenly remove them all ? you don't need to know my motivation, just so u know that I am a proud native Indonesian. no offence, but u are not even Japanese nor javanese. you're greek. Rantemario (talk) 01:29, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Let's keep the discussion about the issue, not about personalities. How long those dab links have been there is irrelevant. The question is whether they're useful to our readers. The fact that you are a "proud native Indonesian" isn't relevant either.
So, to get back to the question, what evidence do you have that Javanese and Japanese are commonly confused? --Macrakis (talk) 15:45, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It's been two weeks now, and you've presented no evidence that Japanese and Javanese are commonly confused. --Macrakis (talk) 20:24, 19 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion at Talk:Sarah Azhari[edit]

I invite you to please join the discussion at Talk:Sarah Azhari.

Hello, we are seeking help with the Sarah Azhari article, created in 2013 & recently the subject of a deletion proposal. At issue was whether or not the Indonesian language sources establish notability. I am inviting you to the discussion at Talk:Sarah Azhari#Help with Indonesian language sources because you are in the Category:User id-N & have a minimum of 1,000 edits across all Wikimedia projects.

I realize that some of you are very busy while others may no longer be editing. Nevertheless, I thought it wise to consult with you.

Thank your for the work that you do on Wiki[mp]edia! Peaceray (talk) 21:06, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please remain civil[edit]

Hi Rantemario! By now you might know that I appreciate your passion about topics that are of concern for you, but frankly, this edit summary[4] of yours went too far. It was quite rude and inappropriate. We have a consensus in WT:INDONESIA about script cruft, and Ibrahim Muizzuddin simply applied this rationale to various province articles regardless of which kind of script, thus also including Arabic-derived Jawi[5]. So please don't make such hasty conclusions about other editors "motives" (as in this case, apparently, just because they have a Muslim user name). Austronesier (talk) 21:35, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

OK, sorry lol. Rantemario (talk) 01:28, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
