Video Art[edit]

Dear freshacconci; thanks for getting in touch. Although the inclusion of an external link to an unpublished paper about Bill Viola's "The Passing" may have appeared to have been made only for reasons of self-promotion I would like to point out that the linked academic paper is relevant to Video Art as a genre because it discusses fundamental qualities of what defines Video Art (sculptural/singular/theatrical vs Total Flow). However, I accept your edit since I'm new to this process and you are a Wiki-senior, and I take your word that the link in question was inappropriate - even though I do not agree with you. PS: The link in question connected to a top level domain to prevent said link to go dead whenever the pages are re-edited.

Hi, I respect your revert edit but I question the rationale: the additional sources I added today to the three articles in question are relevant in each case. N Katherine Hales's book is a key-text in cyberculture scholarship and should be included in any list of references in conjunction with said subject. Please see N. Katherine Hayles for verification. Both of the other texts are widely accepted as key-reading in their respective fields, published by reputable, peer-reviewed academic journals (Leonardo-MIT, Art Journal-College Art Association). Hi, sorry about the delay in responding: its the weekend here. How do you know that Klein didn't think his mother was Jewish? Is there an online source? If there is doubt then we could change it simply to say that she was is Ravensbruck and possibly that some source say she was there because she was Jewish.

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia.
