Christoph Schreiner moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Christoph Schreiner. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it is promotional and reads like an advertisement and you may have a possible Conflict of Interest. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Broc (talk) 14:00, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for my newbie mistakes. I did not understand how to submit the Sandbox version I made since the Draft Title was not the name of the Subject (Christoph Schreiner). The entry is not meant to be promotional or serve as an advertisement. Schreiner is retiring in 2024, and I created this entry to mark the scientific advances made during Schreiner's career so that those interested in auditory neuroscience can understand the contributions. I have now tried to edit the text to read more factually and neutrally. Rcliu31 (talk) 01:11, 19 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest?[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! May I ask what is your relation with Christoph Schreiner? Your only edits have been on his page, which is written in a promotional tone. Please note that Wikipedia requires users with a conflict of interest to publicly disclose it in their user page, and to send the pages they create through the articles for creation process. Please have a look at our conflict of interest guideline and let me know. All the best, Broc (talk) 14:02, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Relationship with Schreiner is that I was a postdoc partly mentored by Schreiner nearly 20 years ago, but we have not worked together since I left. This entry is not paid for. Tone was intended to be similar to that for Michael Merzenich, who collaborated with Schreiner. I was not aware of the AfC process until now; I initially wrote in my Sandbox, but did not understand how to change the Draft Title when I tried to submit for review. As to why this is my only edits on Wikipedia, I became motivated to try to contribute because Schreiner is retiring in 2024, and I wanted to document his contributions to the field for those who want to learn about auditory neuroscience and its history - many who have been trained by Schreiner. My suggestion: submit the draft for review by pressing the "Submit the draft for review!" button on the page. An Article for Creationreviewer will check it and provide comment, or approve it and move it to mainspace. I strongly suggest disclosing your personal relation with the subject in your user page, perhaps using {{connected contributor}}, then go ahead and have fun editing!
