Welcome![edit]

Hello, Rcorsini54, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited appears to be an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page. If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! —C.Fred (talk) 02:40, 24 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

C. Fred - thank you for the note. I can have my Robert F Corsini page deleted and will follow your guidelines. I will update my user page instead. Peace and Love, Bob from NJ

Notes about your user page and quotations[edit]

While it's okay to include a line or two of a song as a favourite quotation, be careful with the longer excerpts. Wikipedia has rules about copyright violations anywhere on Wikipedia, including sandboxes, drafts, and user space. Like I said, a line or two is fine, but the parts that look like they're full songs (or at least more than one verse) are probably in violation of policy. I will do you the courtesy of letting you clean them up, but technically, any user could remove them at any time. —C.Fred (talk) 12:37, 25 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Unblocked per above. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 14:11, 26 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The above notice is not quite correct, as there was no unblock request. Instead i made the unblock after discussion on this site with other administrators, but without any request by Rcorsini54. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 14:55, 26 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Going forward[edit]

You have been unblocked, and I hope you will choose to resume editing Wikipedia and make productive contributions here. Some issues you will want to be aware of.

  • You made this edit to Pete Townshend and this edit to Adam Duritz. Each was quickly reverted. Both edits seemed to be attempts to communicate with the subjects of articles, the sort of things that might be left as comments on those person's social media pages. But Wikipedia is not a social media site, and there is no reason to assume that the subject reads the page. Wikipedia has encyclopedia articles about various topics, some of which are living people. Everything in an article should be something about the topic, and should be supported or potentially supported by reliable sources. Personally feelings, opinions, or anecdotes of individual editors do not belong, nor do efforts to reach out tom the subject. I hipe that is clear.
  • You made this edit to the Teahouse in which you wrote . I think this is due to a multiple device look. It was 2... my 2 sons. I asked them not to login as me anymore.. Wikipedia accounts are each for a single individual person. They are never to be shared. Please change any password that anyone else may know. Please do not allow anyone else access to your account, nor leave an account logged in so that anyone else could edit from it. Accounts that are being shared may be blocked from editing permanently.
  • Your user page was deleted. If you begin making helpful edits to the project outside your user space, and want the page back, you may ask for it at my talk page or at WP:REFUND and it should be undeleted.
  • Minor edits: A minor edit is one that leaves the meaning of a page or article essentially unchanged. Fixing broken markup or formatting, fixing typos or spelling errors, fixing minor errors of grammar, supplying a missing signature on a talk page: these are the classic minor edits. Anything more significant than that should not be marked as minor, please.

Again I hope you will resume editing and start to make positive contributions here. If you ahve any questions feel free to ask me or to post at the Teahouse again. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 14:53, 26 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
