refTools[edit]

Hi. Sadly, you haven't been given an official Wikipedia welcome yet... So.... Welcome! That wasn't an official one, but you've probably been editing too long to be given one. Anyway, I see you've recently been adding a few references, and playing around with the parameters in the templates {{cite web}} and {{cite news}}. I use a handy little gadget called refTools, it makes adding citations so much easier. You can add it to your edit window by going to My Preferences (in the top right-hand corner of the screen) and then clicking the Gadgets tab. refTools can be found under Editing Gadgets. Good job on the A-League/Adelaide United related articles, anyway. It's always nice to see someone jump on the bandwagon. Thanks, timsdad (talk) 09:36, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oh geez, I never realised Wikipedia had its own ref generator! I've been relying on an external ref generator all this time! Thanks for that, and yes, I have been editing for a while, but under a different alias for different topics at hand. Cheers again. RedsUnited (talk) 09:51, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edits[edit]

Hi again. I've noticed you've been marking many of your recent edits as minor. Per the guideline, a minor edit includes a change that doesn't affect the meaning of an article. Something that we would consider not major, such as this edit, is not considered minor on Wikipedia. I'm not criticising, it's just a tip. --timsdad (talk) 03:14, 20 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. RedsUnited (talk) 03:54, 20 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

NQF v AU attendance[edit]

Hi again. It appears that the only source that claims the attendance was 6,755 is the A-League match report. The A-League match summary, along with the AUFC and NQF reports say it was 6,745. I think that the A-League report contains a typo, as I doubt the three others are all typos. We should stick with one figure, consistent across all articles. --timsdad (talk) 11:14, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I saw that too, and was about to revert my edit on the main A-League 2009-10 article. Thanks for that. - RedsUnited (talk) 11:17, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for fixing my stupid grammar. I'm poor at English 'cause Korea Republic does not belong to the English-speaking country. :) z4617925 (talk) 12:21, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I see that you've recently created some soccer bios, but which are only referenced to profile pages, which could be considered by some to be not significant coverage, which is in breach of our notability guidelines. Could you try to ensure that all new bios have a reference to a reliable source, preferably independent of the subject (ie not his club website, but to a newspaper etc). This is especially important for players who have not yet played at senior level and as such don't meet the WP:NSPORT guideline on notability. Many believe that articles like this shouldn't exist until they actually make their senior debut. I mainly edit AFL articles and we have the same problem every year when the newly drafted players are announced. Thanks. The-Pope (talk) 16:07, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Both Melling and Izzo have played for the country at an international level hence the startup pages. Granted the articles haven't been fleshed out yet, but I will be doing that as soon as I get some spare time to get my referencing in order. RedsUnited (talk) 20:15, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
International at junior level still isn't enough - try to find significant coverage in independent reliable sources to meet the WP:GNG.The-Pope (talk) 23:43, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for March 7[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited 2011–12 Adelaide United season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jacob Burns (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
