e-Governance[edit]

As this is my first attempt to write an article in wikipedia, I would appreciate receiving early feedback from wikipedia experienced editors. This page is expected to become part of the eGovernment page, in the "e-Governance per country" section.

I completed the ToC and one country to act as a specimen (Austria).

  • Ask for help. Talk to us live, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
  • Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better. For example, Wikipedia:Cleanup#2009.
  • When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.

You don't need to use Wikilinks to link to Wiki pages, so I changed it to this;

  • The first part of an article is called the lede. This does not need a heading, because the page name will be shown at the top. It does need to give a context for the article, and the name of the article in '''bold'''. So, the article should start off, right at the beginning (before any == section) with something like,
'''eGovernment in Europe''' is controlled via [[e-Government]] initiatives both at the [[European Union]] level and individually...
...which will look like this;

  • Links to external websites should not appear in the body text, as you have with i2010. External links should only be used as either references, or in a special section called 'external links' (subject to the WP:EL policy). Therefore, you should either have it as...
...the [[European Commission|European Commission's]] [http://ec.europa.eu/information_society/eeurope/i2010/index_en.htm i2010] strategic framework.<ref[http://ec.europa.eu/information_society/eeurope/i2010/index_en.htm i2010]</ref>
...which will add it in the references, or add it to external links.
  • For non-english references, please specify the language like this (the last parameter);

  • As a general comment - this article could, potentially, end up being very long - so you might be interested in reading up on Wikipedia:Summary style.

Estonia eGov page[edit]

Hello. I replied to your thread again. After looking at the edit history for the Egov in Estonia page, it actually hasn't had any real edits in over a year and a half. I would just go ahead and redirect if that is what you feel is correct. I'd maybe look at the sources on that page and see if any of them would be good for the main egov in europe article. Re. Major failures[edit]

Re. Talk:EGovernment in Europe#Major failures section in Ireland - I have removed the material, following your 'helpme' request; please see my response there.

In future, please use 'helpme' here, on your own talk page, rather than on article discussion pages; the idea of 'helpme' is to get specific, 1:1 help from a helper. The discussion page is for discussing edits to the article, with all interested parties.

When you leave messages, please remember to "sign" your name, by putting ~~~~ (four tilde signs) at the end. This will add your name, and the date and time. You can also do this by clicking the 'sign' button, pictured here.

Proposed deletion of Interoperability Solutions for European Public Administrations (ISA)[edit]

The article Interoperability Solutions for European Public Administrations (ISA) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Ephemeral programme, only barely started. No independent sources. Does not meet WP:GNG.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
