Disambiguation link notification for August 19[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Nürburgring, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Top Gear (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Paul Di Resta[edit]

I disagree, its a completely different article dated this year rather than the current citation and in it he says that he is surprised that he does not know who his Force India teammate will be, hence he is part of Force India, http://www.sportinglife.com/other-sports/news/article/669/8391960/di-resta-surprised-by-wait

Also have a check of BBC's F1 page, he is there, his profile is still on Force India's website, surely this is enough evidence to support he is on the team?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adzer (talkcontribs) 09:26, 18 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Adzer, I am not questioning the date of the article, but the content. I know that Di Resta will continue with Force India; however, wikipedia content should be confirmed and it seems that Force India has not yet confirmed its drivers. Rentzepopoulos (talk) 09:44, 18 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

F1 car launches[edit]

Hi Rentzepopoulos,

I've undone some of your edits to the Lotus E21 page which gave details of the launch of the car. The reason for this is that I felt that it was, on a certain level, advertising, telling readers when and where they could see the launch of the car. I know that wasn't your intention, but the wording of it gave the time and date of the launch a little bit too much prominence.

Furthermore, over the past few years, there has been a gradual move away from including details of car launches in articles. I don't know how long you have been working on Wikipedia, but you may have noticed in previous years that editors used to include tables showing car launches in season articles. But it is generally felt that these are superfluous details, and don't really have any bearing on the season as a whole. The same holds for articles on individual cars; it is more important to include details of development and performance since, and launch dates are generally only mentioned in passing. They may have some prominence when the article is first created, but they are also among the first details removed once the car is launched and more details become public. No problem; after witnessing the Lotus launch, I couldn't agree more ;) Rentzepopoulos (talk) 07:43, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Champinos League[edit]

Hi, why did you remove the colors here? Both team will finish in at least third place. QED237 (talk) 21:36, 23 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

We are midway the group stage. In theory, there is at least one combination of results that leads to any possible outcome. Rentzepopoulos (talk) 22:17, 23 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No not at all since points are lost in draws (only two insteadv of three handed out) look at group G were Dortmund has 9p, Arsenal 6pts, Anderlecht and Galatasaray 1p. IF both Gala and And win both their matches against Dortmund and Arsenal they have 7p when the met. If one of them win they get 10p and 7p (one team behind Dortmund) and if a draw both have 8p (both behind Dortmund). There is no possible way both can pass Dortmund since they played a draw first match. QED237 (talk) 22:44, 23 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You are right! Sorry for the removal; it was based on the assumption that as all teams have played with all three different opponents and now they have to play the exact same opponents once more, a simple score reversal would yield the same point tally to all -- this is clearly not the case. Rentzepopoulos (talk) 23:23, 23 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, as a mathmatician I know it is easy mistake to make. Have a nice day. QED237 (talk) 23:29, 23 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
