License tagging for Image:563976.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:563976.jpeg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image without license[edit]

Unspecified source/license for Image:15fe8404Mirka1p.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:15fe8404Mirka1p.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 18:25, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kirsten Costas[edit]

Hi... I've replaced the content in the Kirsten Costas article that you blanked. While there are certainly articles created in Wikipedia that shouldn't be, there are processes in place for deleting them. Generally, the decision to delete articles is not for any one editor to make. Rather, the decision to delete an article (certainly one that's been in the encyclopedia since 2008) is made by consensus. Articles can be nominated for deletion which will start a discussion that will continue for 7 days. During that time, any editor can give their opinion on why an article should be kept or deleted. At the end of the 7 days, an administrator will decide where consensus lies. Thanks for your editing. Just wanted to pass that along. Wikipelli Talk 17:23, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
