Thanks for uploading Image:05863_zbots_juguetes.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

License tagging for Image:U1478P33T2D221163F2020DT20061012111728.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:U1478P33T2D221163F2020DT20061012111728.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Fair use rationale for Image:Shelby Cobra Concept.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Shelby Cobra Concept.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Polly (Parrot) 20:42, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Bel-Air.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Bel-Air.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Polly (Parrot) 21:14, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Honda 600, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.honda600source.com. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 03:26, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notice about OKC NBA edit[edit]

Hi. I reverted your edit to Oklahoma City National Basketball Association team, and I just wanted to explain why. Since the team has already played games under the name "Oklahoma City", it is already the only active incarnation of the SuperSonics. It would be technically incorrect to imply that the Sonics are to become the OKC team. So, sorry about that but keep up the good work :) Okiefromokla questions? 17:43, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Gasia Mikaelian[edit]

A tag has been placed on Gasia Mikaelian requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Woland (talk) 20:57, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (File:Mercury logo3.jpg)[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Mercury logo3.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Proposed deletion of 1950s in music[edit]

The article 1950s in music has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The article on popular music has a list by decade; clicking on '1950s' will bring you to sub-lists for each year. So this article is unnecessary duplication of effort.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Leoniceno (talk) 05:03, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated 1950s in music, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/1950s in music. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Leoniceno (talk) 05:43, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

HELP![edit]

{{help}}

As the creator of this article, I am requesting help in improving this artlce to make it legitimate. Please give this article some time so people can provide their own contributions. Thank you. Retromaniac (talk) 05:48, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've moved this from talk:1950s in music, because the idea of a 'helpme' is to ask for specific help on your talk page, not on article talk pages;
With regards to the article, all I can suggest is that you participate in, and monitor, the discussions in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/1950s in music. As far as I can tell, it does not meet the general notability guidelines, because it has no references to make the information verifiable; you can discuss that in the deletion discussion, and the community will decide over the course of 7 days.
I will leave the 'helpme' thing in place, for now, as I expect someone else might comment?  Chzz  ►  01:24, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Further comments should really be at the AfD, not here. That is now the central venue for discussing the potential deletion of the article. — neuro(talk) 08:20, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Pontiac. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Manway (talk) 01:26, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Flags[edit]

Before you assert me about adding flags to the Can Am and ALMS seasons, I'd like to make a compromise. Could state and provincial flags be reserved for series that do not leave North America? International series such as F1 and the World Sportscar Championship require national flags, but Can Am and ALMS are primarily US/Canada series, and in my opinion would be more convenient using state and provincial flags. Thank you. Retromaniac (talk) 04:49, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Bike Rock, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bike Rock. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Albert Mond (talk) 03:02, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on RM Auctions, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article Casper's has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No claim of notability. Both 'references' are about a different, similarly named restaurant which also does not appear to be notable.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
