The reason I made those changes was beacuase a few other words in the article made it look like the dialect was supposed to be American. Sorry if I was wrong. Aaron Kauppi (talk) 05:14, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

NGC 246[edit]

Reyk, when you redirected BD-12° 134 to NGC 246, did you move any content from BD to NGC? This is important due to Wiki's copyright. D O N D E groovily Talk to me 03:01, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Nope. I just replaced all the content BD-12° 134 with the redirect. You can see that for yourself if you look at the edit history of NGC 246; you'll see that the only change I've made to that article is to remove the proposed merge tag. Cheers, Reyk YO! 03:15, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • If you redirect without merging when a merge has been discussed, it's best for your edit summary to say something like "redirect without merging" so that future editors know that there was no merge, in case there is ever a reason to delete the BD redirect in the future. Had you merged, deleted the BD would be prohibited (due to WP:Merge and delete), but since you didn't, deleting it is okay. D O N D E groovily Talk to me 12:17, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Grammar tip[edit]

We "feel" emotions and sensations, but "think" or "believe" opinions and ideas. --24.112.202.78 (talk) 22:34, 6 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion[edit]

You should add your own account to that investigation, because I think it is pretty clear that you and the other one are really the same person, but with multiple personality disorder and your conflict on Wikipedia is really your two personalities vying for supremacy in this forum. Here is your big chance to come clean and maybe it will be your first step toward getting help! --24.112.202.78 (talk) 23:18, 6 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

    • Just letting you know I have started an AN/I about our little IP friend here. [1] Ridernyc (talk) 01:18, 7 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
      • Hi, thanks for the heads up. I'm not sure the ANI discussion was necessary. In my opinion the SPI case is a slam-dunk. The behavioural and technical evidence is incontrovertible, and I think his ridiculous allegations of sockpuppetry just strengthen the case against him. Frivolous retaliatory accusations like this are something A Nobody used to do as well. I would have just let the SPI case run its course, but fair enough. Lamia (D&D)[edit]

Hello, as you took part in the 1st AFD for Lamia (Dungeons & Dragons), which closed on "no consensus", I'm bringing to your attention that after a second AFD with the same result, a discussion on whether to merge or not has opened on the article talk page. Hi Reyk. Because you participated in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Universe Today (3rd nomination), you may be interested in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Universe Today (4th nomination). Cunard (talk) 23:05, 7 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please consider reconsidering. These aren't viable, and he just carries on despite Drmies note at his talk.

Anna Frodesiak (talk) 12:18, 13 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know. Maybe I'm just having ownership issues because he's getting them from Wikipedia:Requested articles/Images, a page I started and spend quite a bit of time keeping stocked. I trust your judgement, so whatever you say, I'll take as good guidance. Thanks. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 12:22, 13 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have to agree that this is getting out of hand. Drmies (talk) 15:32, 13 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not trying to whine, or get him blocked, and I don't want to chase away a new editor (although I suspect he is a reincarnation). I would just like him to work collegially, which would involve not entirely ignoring input from others. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 21:49, 13 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dispute Resolution IRC office hours.[edit]

Hello there. As you expressed interest in hearing updates to my research in the dispute resolution survey that was done a few months ago, I just wanted to let you know that I am hosting an IRC office hours session this coming Saturday, 28th July at 19:00 UTC (approximately 12 hours from now). This will be located in the #wikimedia-office connect IRC channel - if you have not participated in an IRC discussion before you can connect to IRC here.

Regards, User:Szhang (WMF) (talk) 07:05, 28 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmm... If not WP:IDHT, where should that link go when someone turns it blue like you're practically begging them to? I got a real chuckle out of that. Oh, and this isn't a personal attack, BTW, just in case anyone reading this is confused on that point. Cheers, Jclemens (talk) 06:29, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Redirect to your user talk? Reyk YO! 06:34, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • Naah, too obvious and pedestrian. There's got to be a better target for it than that. Maybe, since we agree on so little, we could make it a redirect to your talk page? :-) Jclemens (talk) 06:35, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
