Lol; its late here and I am sick of the AIV. But I keep an eye on things, but a lot of reports are faulty. But I just blocked one of your username vios. Thanks for posting. ~ Arjun 01:41, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In fact I went through the list and I can't fine one suitable IP to block. Either stopped or just had warnings from a couple months ago. ~ Arjun 01:42, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism?[edit]

Hello Dear User:

You seem to have reverted one of my edits and left me a nasty message on my userspace. I am entitled to vandalize wikipedia as I see fit. Have a happy valentines day! 141.164.91.16 06:30, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah clearing out CSD is great; but wait until the "why did you delete my article" questions start coming in. Or what I like to call the questiontm. Well anyway congrats; and remember to always check the contribs at the AIV. You'd be surprised how many faulty reports come in. And hope to see you on #wikipedia-en-admins soon! Congrats again. ~ Arjun 14:02, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Congratulations on your RfA[edit]

Congratulations! You are now an administrator! Just a word of important advice:

DO. NOT. BLOCK. YOURSELF.

I cannot stress enough how important that is.

I trust that you would never do that anyway, but I just had to say that. Once again, congratulations! --Kyoko 14:11, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Riana, you're welcome. Since I'm not an administrator, I don't know if you can actually block and unblock yourself. One thing I forgot to mention... move your mouse around my last message and see what you find. There's a wikilink in there (besides my name, I mean). --Kyoko 14:18, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) Ah, you found the Simpsons reference. It should have been pretty obvious anyway. I was going to suggest one of the smiley faces that User:Bearly541 used to use before she left, but it seems as if the smile templates have been deleted. --Kyoko 14:33, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Just a quick note: congrats and good luck. And yes, you can block yourself and unblock yourself as well, and you are allowed to unblock yourself if and only if you block yourself by mistake. But I probably didn't need to tell you that. Anyway, heartiest congratulations! Cheers, Moreschi Request a recording? 14:27, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I can't say whether you are or not, the trolls would know: that could be dangerous. Anyway, I prophesy you will become more powerful than any other sysop, young admin. I have forseen it! It is your destiny...good luck. Cheers, Moreschi Request a recording? 17:40, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Riana,[edit]

Thanks you for your kind note and your suggestions. I'm glad to have someone to talk to about my aritcle. I read a good deal of what was offered in the Tutorial before I wrote my aritcle. I have also read quite a few Wikapedia articles including some by colleagues that I know were written autobiographically. Since the notice of possible deletion has been put up, I've read the about reasons for deletion and I've just read the one you recommended about autobiography. All of this brings to feel that what I have written is factual and verifiable -and I avoided using any adjectives that would be self-promoting. The article begins with "Stephen Cohn is an Emmy Award winning composer" - this is a factual and verifiable statement. I've looked through the article and I don't any self-promoting or non-verifiable statements.

However, I'm not a professional jounalist and I may be failing to see what the problems are. If you dissagree or have other critiques, please let me know so that I may attempt to improve the article. Your input would be greatly appreciated.Stephen 00:53, 16 February 2007 (UTC)Stephen Cohn[reply]

Hey (Reply)[edit]

Do you reckon P:WB's ready for featured now? I personally think it's looking really great, and it's got enough content to satisfy portal reviewers. What do you think? Cheers, riana_dzasta 10:53, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's ready! Who, in your opinion, should nominate the portal (I think Dwaipayan could and then we could add any comments we have under the nomination)? Happy editing, S.D. ¿п? § 12:27, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and congratulations on your recent RFA! I (and a lot of others, judging from the RFA) know that you'll be a good sysop. Happy editing and mopping, S.D. ¿п? § 12:28, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, either Dwaipayan or PK should do the honours. Let's pass all the selected picture candidates (except the one with copyright problems - let's take it out for now, and we can negotiate via talk pages). riana_dzasta 12:30, 16 February 2007 (UTC)11[reply]
I've already done that. :D I'll notify Dwaipayan and create the subpage for the nomination, and you could notify P.K. Niyogi. After that's done, they'll transclude the subpage on the main FPortalC page. Comments? Cheers, S.D. ¿п? § 12:33, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, the "delete" button on the main page should just say "desysop me".  :-) —Doug Bell talk 19:01, 16 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Offensive[edit]

How it is offensive? I am juse expressing an opinion. How does a stupid shit article such as the flag of Lithuania become a featured article. Maybe if it was the flag of the United States it would matter, considering the US is the only country that matters, but otherwise its just a waste of valuable wikipedia resources. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 150.243.28.7 (talkcontribs)

Unblock request from User:VPRF[edit]

Hello my fellow newbie admin! I wanted to check with you on something. User:VPRF has tagged his talk page with an unblock request arguing to assume good faith for now and lift the block. Besides completing a very bad faith AfD nomination for the FA article Flag of Lithuania, I think that it wouldn't hurt to lift the block, seeing as he has not indicated trolling besides that incident. Is there any other instances where this user might have been trolling (such as creating other nonsense pages, etc.)? If so then the block should stand.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 20:40, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Riana[edit]

I'm about to start gethering up external links to verify the information in my article, as per your suggestion. Since I'm new at this, I want to make sure I understand your request. Are you suggesting that I add them to my aritcle or that I put them in a "talk" message such as this one? Also, although many of the items are available as links, the credits listed in the aritcle span about twenty years and a number of different countries so some of them are probably not available on the Internet.

Another question, If I may: I believe I read in a message on my article page, that no editing should be done while the article is being considered for deletion. One of the posted suggestions says that there are not enough internal links. I highlighted fifteen of them so I don't understand the suggestion and I'm not clear if it is appropriate for me to do editing at this point. Any light you shed on all of this will be greatly appreciated. In the meantime, I'll getting the links together. Stephen 23:54, 16 February 2007 (UTC)Stephen[reply]

Riana, please note, today I added a number of external links to verify the information in the article.Stephen 02:16, 18 February 2007 (UTC)Stephen[reply]

Kriss Akabusi[edit]

Look at the image. It is a fake. This article has been subject to ongoing abuse from the members of football365.com Catchpole 13:21, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Please stop[edit]

It's not a phoney image, it's an authentic and well-published spoof image that's simply been given an incorrect explanation beneath it. Kriss Akabusi's fame is almost entirely cult and within the United Kingdom, so I think the image is more relevant than a portrait photograph or a shot of him jumping a hurdle. I'd add another image so there's some balance, but I don't know how. You can remove the image again if you wish, but you should learn more about the subject first, instead of dismissing it without a second thought. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Shepherd333 (talkcontribs) 22:11, 17 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Would you mind helping to watch this article for a bit? A persistent dynamic IP vandal keeps inserting unhelpful external links for the sake of being trollish (see the article history) and is then abusive to those that revert. I've been involved, so I am kind of reluctant to block or sprotect, so another admin watching the page would be helpful. Cheers. youngamerican (ahoy hoy) 16:59, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, riana dzasta, I just wanted to thank you for your support on my RfA, which was successful with a final tally of 61/0/2. Receiving your enthusiatic support was a great honour for me, and I hope my conduct as an administrator will prove your thoughts about me to be right. If you have any comments about my use of the tools I would be glad to hear from you on my talk page. Thanks again! Heimstern Läufer 06:16, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, so I'm managing to give people errors here, too. :-) At the smaller wiki where I've been an admin for almost a year, I used to have a reputation for giving people block errors. I guess I'm just incorrigible. :-) Heimstern Läufer 06:45, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
