October 2015

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Coffee. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Making the Eritrea page more logical

Hi Richard. I've got some ideas for making the Eritrea page more logical for readers. I'd like to group together similar topics on the Eritrea page, which is how topics are arranged on other nation pages.

For example, later, I'm going to more closely group together:

• 1.) Government,
• 2.) foreign relations,
• 3.) and administrative divisions.

Because those topics are all related to governing Eritrea.

Richard, it's not just my opinion. Pictures are meant to be aligned to the righthand side of the page. It also looks better. You want the Eritrea page to look good, right? Because it's looking a bit chaotic at the moment. What if I tidy up the Ethiopia page, and it eventually starts looking better than the Eritrea page? Lol, we know that's not right!

Clearly that is your opinion since nobody has objected to current style and formating. It has been brought up since you started moving around the images and topics. Those where big changes and you did not bother to explain why you did those changes. Regarding the topics I do agree that they can structured in the way you suggested above. Images should be aligned to the right hand side in most cases, hoewever not in every case. Just look at other country pages and other pages. In some cases a image related to a topic can be displaced by other images making the image loose its context. aHowever I could agree to move some images that are on the left side to the right side. We edit on Wikipedia by consensus, not by force. Discuss, agree, then edit. Each time you revert on the Eritrea article you will be blocked, with the block period increasing in duration. I suggest that you either engage fully in the discussion, making no edits to Eritrea until there is an agreement, or work in a different area of Wikipedia. Abyssinian people

Article has been maintained for several years for an ethno-linguistic people who speak what liguists classify as Semitic languages. Similar articles are Bantu peoples, Nilotic peoples, Romance peoples [1], Iranian peoples etc which includes people who leave across various sovereign countries with various nationalities. I am only here to make wikipedia articles in a way that makes sense and try to make the regions articles with equal standards with other articles developed by highly qualified intellectuals who ignore nationalist and politicians opinion. If we exclude Eritrean Semitic speaking people for nationalism reason then we also would have splited the above mentioned articles dedicated for ethno-linguistic people and also spliting the article for Germans, Koreans, Punjabis, Afars and Somalis who have several nationalities with Punjabis & Koreans with hostile relation. Excluding them from Abyssinian group means that 100s of respected historians use of Abissinian people to refer Axumite, Daamat kings and inhabitants does not refer to semitic Eritreans and then we would have been deleting Axum and Daamat from formation under the Eritrea article. By the time this kingdoms existed there is no proof of Tigrinya or Amarinya language but proto-semitic language that later divided into todays modern languages just like the ancient Roman Latin language is now divided into Spanish, Italian and Portugese. When historians speak about Roman empire they either say 'Romans' or 'Latins' to refer the people because saying Spanish or Italians would be historical distortion, similarly historians use 'Abyssinian' when speaking of the inhabitants of Axum & Daamat. — EthiopianHabesha (talk) 21:19, 1 October 2016 (UTC)

Eritrea

Hi Richard0048,

I added the Arabic language to the infobox under: "Recognised national languages" of the article Eritrea. In addition, I added Arabic to the chapter "Languages" in the article. I also added some sources for this information. Then, you deleted this change with the explanation "HOA not redundant to East Africa, no need to remove content".

It is fact that Arabic is a recognised national language of Eritrea. May I ask you why did you delete this?
