Request to run bot.

I was having a look around and I've discovered that someone has messed up all the citecompletes on the page Arsenal F.C. supporters and with me being unable to fix it due to conflicting edits and I don't have the time to manually fix it all, could you please run your Rjwilmsibot on it as in my opinion, it's the best source formatting bot on the whole site? The C of E. God Save The Queen! (talk) 12:25, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

I've run it and REFLINKS. Rjwilmsi 18:38, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for that. The C of E. God Save The Queen! (talk) 20:01, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

Hi Rjwilmsi, just letting you know that Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/RjwilmsiBot 5 has been marked as approved. Please see the request page for details, and then feel free to run this task. Thanks. - Kingpin13 (talk) 23:16, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

Thanks, I will add the redirects with the space as you requested. Rjwilmsi 11:24, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

Just curious..

When you become the first Wikipedian to reach 1,000,000 edits, what are you going to do? ;P œ 16:27, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

I expect Rich will be first. Rjwilmsi 16:41, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
Ok start placing yer bets! I got $5 on Rjwilmsi! ;) -- œ 17:59, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for your recent work on my page Alexander McQueen (brand). How do you convert the bare urls at the bottom into full references?Reqluce (talk) 00:35, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

For your constant and speedy reply to my requests/bug reports/crazy ideas. For writing short scripts for my bot. For the discussions that created new ideas. For the great cooperation. For... For... Magioladitis (talk) 11:27, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

Your bot's addition of Persondata to Bryson Spinner appears to have gone a bit wrong, as the metadata is visible on the page. Can't quite see what's causing the problem, although it appears to be an interaction with the succession box included above the metadata. WildCowboy (talk) 16:05, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

Sorted now. It would seem succession boxes and their start and end must be on separate lines. Rjwilmsi 16:27, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
Great...thanks! WildCowboy (talk) 16:31, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

Oops, thanks for catching that. I have fixed it. — jwillbur 20:11, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

"Dupe" ref fixes

I have seen a couple edits such as this [1]. That edit did not fix any duplicate references. I'v also seen edits like [2] that just remove a </ref> tag. That's a trivial edit, no need to make it for its own sake.

It also looks like this "duplicate" task is large enough that it should be run by a bot-tagged account after bot approval. — Carl (CBM · talk) 13:04, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

Apologies if a couple of edits got through without the intended change. As to making it a bot task, I'm not sure. The run so far was for the trivial cases where the second ref was either whitespace, [see above] or the reference name. That's now done. The rest require a manual assessment, and I'm not yet clear if I can batch them to be a bot task or not. Rjwilmsi 13:14, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
That makes sense. — Carl (CBM · talk) 14:01, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

About one "Author" name

Hi there. I removed the author name you added to Ethan Hawke's page. "Daily Dish" is in fact the name of the gossip column from San Francisco Chronicle, not the name of a real author. Cheers. - Artoasis (talk) 03:11, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Apologies, I'll add an exception for "daily". Thanks Rjwilmsi 07:33, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Question about rev 7404

I noticed that in revision 7404 you added logic to delete {{blp}} if it also contained WPBiography. Would it be possible to add logic to replace the blp template with {{WPBiography|living=yes|class=|priority=|listas=%%KEY%%}} if it isnt there? --Kumioko (talk) 19:13, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Discuss and agree with Magioladitis please. Rjwilmsi 19:14, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
Will do thanks. --Kumioko (talk) 20:06, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
Yesterday I asked for the same thing but later I noticed that blp is misused instead of blpo in several cases like this one or, even worse, this one. So, we have to know a page is a biography before making the change. Btw, this change is done by the plugin if we select WPbiograpgy,so we don't lose anything. We just don't gain. -- Magioladitis (talk) 23:40, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
All good points but do we compensate for badly placed info on all the other logic. Would it be possible to use the "Is article about a person" logic that Rj built to determine if these blp's are improperly placed and remove them? The logic was designed to determine a Biography but it seems like it could work the opposite way too. --Kumioko (talk) 22:37, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

Edit

Thak you very much for your edits . depo (talk) 18:43, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Andrew Collins (Singer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Malcolmxl5 (talk) 01:41, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
