"Do not check for Dead Links" option for AWB
Trying to find a broken bracket can be tough with 10+ dead links. Instead of doing a feature request, I went ahead and did something stupid. I modified the AWB code... added a "do not check for dead links" item on the Options menu. AWB will display dead links if the option is not checked. Is this a good idea and if so, can I give you the changed code? I'm sure I didn't do it the best or most elegant way. Bgwhite (talk) 21:15, 19 May 2013 (UTC)

Defaultsort

- Found another one, Lee Tai-Young and Wang Huiwu. It has an infobox, persondata and birth/death cats. Did you want the code from above? - Pages with a Surname Clarification Template from Category:Hatnote templates for names use Full Name format, so no DEFAULTSORT needed. Rjwilmsi 09:43, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
- This should not be the case. This will result in names being sorted in the wrong order. With no colon, Wikimedia treats "Wang Huiwu" as one word and will sort it ahead of any names with a colon. Look at Category:Chinese communists, "Wang Huiwu" is the first Wang listed, but it should be third. Why? Because the other names use a colon. The only instances where your case is true is when a name has no surname or given name. Burmese, majority of Malaysian and some Ethiopian names would be examples. - All pages need a comma except for {{Malay name}} (Malaysian), {{Habesha name}} (Ethiopian), {{Indonesian name}} and {{Mongolian name}}.
