Information icon Hello, I'm Justeditingtoday. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Terms of Endearment have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. What I posted to these pages was not self-promotion or soapboxing, but sharing information on filming locations. I don't understand why you are deleting these.

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Laser brain (talk) 17:37, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

All of my contributions were adding filming location information to movies, so I don't see how this is considered advertising or promotion. Please explain.

Wikipedia is not the place to promote your web site. It is not considered notable or a reliable source of information. --Laser brain (talk) 17:40, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I understand that, I only cited my website as it had the actual addresses and information which I thought was necessary as proof for publishing.

As I said, your web site is not considered a reliable source of information. Personal and self-published sites rarely meet our criteria for reliable sources unless you are a known and recognized expert in the field. Please see Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources for more information. I will be happy to unblock you if you agree to stop adding links to your personal web site and to use reliable, published, third-party sources for any information you add per Wikipedia:Citing sources. --Laser brain (talk) 17:50, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I understand. Please unblock. If I publish the addresses without a citation, then that is okay?

Since you didn't read what I wrote (again), you're not instilling me with much confidence in your ability to follow our policies. --Laser brain (talk) 17:54, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I was just trying to confirm and understand what you were saying.

To recap:
Hope this helps. --Laser brain (talk) 19:18, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, thanks for your assistance.

I've unblocked you. Please ensure you follow what we discussed. --Laser brain (talk) 19:39, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
