Breaking References[edit]

Hi, please be aware when making an edit such as this one that a reference should link to the relevant information so that users can verify the claim rather than act as a general link to a website. Lame Name (talk) 07:56, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Rolf Reinhardt, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://be.linkedin.com/in/rolfreinhardt.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) A tag has been placed on Rolf Reinhardt requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Why the article was deleted[edit]

I suppose it will seem quite odd (and you might have a stronger opinion) to see a page deleted with copyright violation given as a reason, when you almost certainly wrote every word, and furthermore, you explicitly released the material with a license on the talk page of the draft article.

However, there are a few problems.

While it is almost a certainty you wrote the words, we do allow a lot of leeway when users select user names. Anyone is allowed to choose the user name "Rolf.Reinhardt" (with some exceptions I'd be happy to discuss if you wish). So while it is probably the same person who wrote the LinkedIn entry, we cannot tell that simply by looking at the user name. (For example, if someone wanted to pull a prank, and registered your real name as a user name, we would probably allow that, as long as they do not violate the rules. Surely you would be unhappy if that user were able to give up rights to your words) For this reason, when people do provide a license for words to be used in Wikipedia, we insist that it be done in a way that the identify can be tracked. I can tell you how to do that, but please read on, as it is a process, and may not make sense.

A second reason is that while you wrote the words, the copyright owner is LinkedIN. It is very common for someone to write material for some corporation, and tell us they can license it for use in Wikipedia, and find to their chagrin, that the corporation owns the copyright, not the author. I don't know enough about the specific situation with LinkedIn, and it is possible they have different rules. I will check with one of our experts shortly, but it is possible the license agreement must come from them.

Third, and perhaps most importantly, please read Autobiography. In short, it is not appropriate for you to add an entry about yourself. If you are notable., someone else will. If that happens, we have provisions so that you can be involved, and ensure that the material is verifiable, but you should not be starting the article.

Sorry.--SPhilbrickT 12:52, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Learning Agency Network requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

Notability and conflict of interest[edit]

Hi, welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. I hope you continue to contribute to the encyclopedia; however I would like to call your attention to a couple of our policies before you create any new articles. First, when creating a new article you should be familiar with Wikipedia's definition of notability. There you will find guidelines for what makes a person or an organization notable for the purposes of inclusion in the encyclopedia. I would also call your attention to the conflict of interest guidelines. -- Selket Talk 19:54, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
