Welcome![edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Thank you for contributing edits that were made in good faith, but have been deemed not to contribute positively to the article. These edits have thus been reverted. Wikipedia's page on unacceptable additions may explain why. If you'd like to experiment with the syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles.

Some good links for newcomers are:

Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and a timestamp. If you need help, check out the Teahouse, ask the Help Desk, or place {{Help me}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Once again, welcome! Fountains of Bryn Mawr (talk) 03:10, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Fountains of Bryn Mawr (talk) 03:10, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

February 2023[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to Wendy Sharpe have been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 10:04, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Wendy Sharpe. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles, nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. Yoshi24517 Chat Online 22:31, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Romanticization. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Wendy Sharpe, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Hello, since you have identified yourself as an assistant tasked to do updates, please carefully read the message above. In general, you should avoid making edits to the article itself and instead make suggestions on the talk page. You must disclose your relationship if you are being paid by the subject of the article as described above. Thank you! NsevsTalk 22:37, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

DEAR MODS/CONTRIBUTORS[edit]

I am Wendy Sharpe's assistant. She has tasked me with updating her wiki page with more recent events, which I have been trying to do. Can you please give me some pointers to better adhere to the wiki guidelines?

I have been trying to work through incrementally, which is why it seems choppy.

Are there too many references? Is referencing a newspaper article not worth it?

How can I adjust the structure and content to better suit wiki?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

User:Romanticization 10:04, 16 February 2023

Hi, it looks like you have advice above but to further explain the edits: Wikipedia is not free personal webspace or a place to post lengthy resumes. Its an encyclopedia where notable people are listed as described by what other unrelated people say about them in published sources. Your edits were partially deleted because the were largely based on non-third party sources or based on what Wendy Sharpe says about herself. Your edits also deleted formatting, didn't follow the Wikipedia Manual of Style, and deleted editors notices that should not be deleted. None of this stops you from editing the article although you should try to understand Wikipedia formatting and maybe read WP:AUTOPROB. If you need advice, want to point out something that needs to be added, or don't understand how to add it you can leave a message at Talk:Wendy Sharpe. Copyrighted images[edit]

You may want to check out this notice from a bot[1]. You need some sort of copyright permission to post Wendy Sharpe images and you should probably not post such large image files. Fountains of Bryn Mawr (talk) 21:34, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Wendy Sharpe, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you.
