Welcome![edit]

Some cookies to welcome you!

Thank you for changing your username; and once again welcome to Wikipedia, Romariem! Thank you for your contributions. I am Pigsonthewing and I have been editing Wikipedia for some time, so if you have any questions feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. You can also check out Wikipedia:Questions or type {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian!

I'm very interested in 20th century ornithologists, so I'm enjoying seeing your draft article creations. Do let me know if I can help with any problems you encounter. You might like to know about {{Infobox person}}, which puts a panel with key facts in the top right of an article. That page has a blank you can copy; and there's an example on Horace Gundry Alexander. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 19:09, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, please don't be offended, but I wonder whether the above article meets Wikipedia's notability criteria? At the moment, Dunlop seems (from the article as it stands) to be a virtual unknown, nor does the article claim anywhere that he was a particularly significant ornithologist. In other words, there is no apparent or claimed notability. However, I wonder whether his contributions to The Auk and British Birds were in fact significant? Looking at the good work you have been doing, I am inclined to think that there must be some reason you wrote the article on Dunlop. Please enlighten me! Obituaries in The Ibis and The Auk, both august journals and both reliable sources, seem to satisfy our requirements. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 19:45, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have not been able to access The Ibis, but did read the obituary in The Auk; there seems nothing there to indicate any special notability. Still waiting a response from Romariem. David_FLXD (Talk) 04:33, 28 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Romariem. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Clemence Margaret Acland".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Clemence Margaret Acland}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 00:00, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
