Debbie Does Dallas[edit]

I reverted your edit on Debbie. Not sure why you put "suspected attack", but what you edited wasn't any kind of attack. FYI The DVD and Poster are two different images and both have a place on the page. :) --VCX Ltd Inc 20:43, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

Image uploads[edit]

I noticed you've uploaded several images recently, like the nice addition to the Pink Floyd article. I just wanted to warn you that you need to add the source (ie. a URL, or a book/magazine if you scanned it yourself) of the image to the file as well as the fair use justification, or someone will flag it for deletion eventually. - dharmabum 06:04, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yaz / Yazoo article[edit]

You're quite correct - Yaz was indeed what Yazoo was known as in the US. I was confusing them with Yazz (formerly Yazz and the Plastic Population). D'oh. Gordonjcp 08:53, 11 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree the article is important. If I had enough expertise to help edit I'd vote for it. Would you consider bringing your proposal to Wikipedia:Featured Music Project? It looks like exactly the sort of project for them. Cheers, Durova 01:36, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reverts[edit]

Hi, you reverted my edits on the One-hit wonders in the UK page, but without addressing my rationale as put on the talk page. So I'm reverting back until we can reach a consensus. Jdcooper 18:11, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Heh, i suppose now i just come across as some freakish Babylon Zoo obessive. That section is strictly-speaking unnecessary, but I don't really mind either way. I make a point of not falling out with people on here, that would defeat the object of this project for me! Jdcooper 08:43, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Tagging Image:Shai.jpg[edit]

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Shai.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey 06:28, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Tagging for Image:Namal udugama.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Namal udugama.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Great Steam Ariticle[edit]

  • Just stopping by to comment on the great article that you wrote about Steam. You have real talent! Hope that nobody plays around with this one! Better keep an eye on it for other ax-grinding "editors" who have been screwing around with it a lot lately! Used to like the Bananarama version too, and can't ignore the fact that they were pretty easy on the eye, either. Saw them in an interview and they still look great! - Ronny Stabile

(Removed sarcasm, personal attacks, libel, etc. by cyberstalker that was in direct violation of Wikipedia policies). - Cooperstown77

I was hoping that we could discuss on the Steam article's discussion page what you saw in my previous version of the article that you felt needed revision. --Fortheloveofhampsters 13:14, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for being understanding about the Steam article. --Fortheloveofhampsters 20:42, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

For everyone's information, Fortheloveofhampsters is obviously a sockpuppet with a vengeance. Making false and even libelous statements won't get him anywhere except trouble. I checked his user contributions tabs and the account was created after a controversy erupted in the articles concerning the Greg Bravo and the Steam band. It also shows that his only contributions were on these articles or any related links to them. - AAR

Dear Romeovoid:

I would like to understand better your reasons for changing the article Steam. I will check back on your talk page and check mine if you would like to discuss the particulars. Thanks.--Fortheloveofhampsters 05:22, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Romeovoid, doesn't this sockpuppet know that anyone can click on his “contribs” tab to see that his account was created just to attack the musician only after a controversy erupted? His crocodile tears are very obvious and he has done absolutely nothing else since the account was created in mid-June but attack Bravo and any links to his article which was deleted for obvious reasons (the attack of the sockpuppets at work). In my opinion that is probably more good than bad only because it was more of a circus from what all I can tell. Also, your correct information is supported by the liner notes for the "Steam" album reissued in 2003 on Repertoire (DIGI) and in other places. Apparently it was their only album and it went over like a lead balloon because it really stunk, but baseball keeps at least (the good) part of the song going! - Cooperstown77

Dear Romeovoid, To correct some misstatements, I began contributing to the discussion of the deleted Greg Bravo article in April after the article got a dispute tag. Cooperstown is right about me not contributing elsewhere yet to Wikipedia: the research on the song, Bravo, and the band Steam has taken up all the time I have spent on this site and I have not contributed elsewhere. As I have indicated above, I would like to have a discussion with you about your changes (since you have added interesting content). My major disagreement is how your version of the article, like the original article, fails to identify the lead singer on "Na Na Hey Hey". I hope that we can have a reasonable discussion and come to a consensus on the article. I do have a question for you? Why do you have a problem with indicating who the lead singer of "Na Na Hey Hey". You have included so much other detail and left this important issue nebulous?--Fortheloveofhampsters 14:40, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Romeovoid, I just want to give you heads up that I have reported Cooperstown77 for threats on my userpage to the administrator incident page. The report was not made because of our editing disagreements.--Fortheloveofhampsters 14:40, 28 June 2006 (UTC)--Fortheloveofhampsters 14:42, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Remember to mark your edits as minor only when they genuinely are (see Wikipedia:Minor edit). "The rule of thumb is that an edit of a page that is spelling corrections, formatting, and minor rearranging of text should be flagged as a 'minor edit'." It would also be appreciated if you were to explain at Talk:List of 2000s one-hit wonders in the United States why you reverted my edit. Thanks. Extraordinary Machine 21:02, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Please discuss the issue at Talk:List of 2000s one-hit wonders in the United States rather than inexplicably reverting every single edit you disagree with.
  2. Stop marking edits as minor when they are not. You should also make it clear in your edit summaries when you are reverting someone. Thanks. Extraordinary Machine 16:41, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Duran Duran articles[edit]

Hey there, RomeoVoid! I've been doing a bit of work on the {{Duran Duran}} singles, standardizing the layout of the articles and blueing the red links. For the moment, I've left behind a lot of empty headings, and I could use some help filling in the information. I'll be working on them too as I can, but as you've worked on some of these articles in the past, could you browse through the articles when you get a chance, check my work, and add anything that seems to be missing?

No rush on this, but I'd be glad to have a little expert help. Thanks very much! — Catherine\talk 17:48, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Namal Udugama[edit]

I assume that you are a Sri Lankan like me. It would be nice to add a ogg file of Namal's hit song "Samuganne Naa" rather than the external RA link i put. I would be gratefull if you could do this, or else if you can provide me with the mp3 i can edit and recode it and upload giving full credit to you of course. I have his basayana sanda song, but I do not think it represents his best work. I created the Jayasri article which you might like to have a look and see if you can add more to it.

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Bill Cosby.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Bill Cosby.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. I replaced the image with a free license image. Hi,

I'm apparently the first to notice that in February 2006 you cut and pasted a giant amount of content from [1], a 2005 article, into the A Flock of Seagulls article. I believe I've removed all this cut and pasted content, which was a copyright violation. Please don't do it again. If you're interested in improving the article, it certainly needs it. Fair use rationale for Image:59 1.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:59 1.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Unspecified source for Image:59 1.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:59 1.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Fair use rationale for Image:CircusandtheBeatles.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:CircusandtheBeatles.jpg.

Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 19:35, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:ROCKET CATR050532.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:ROCKET CATR050532.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 05:48, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —♦♦ SʘʘTHING(Я) 09:51, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:STP4.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:STP4.jpg.

If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. Replaceable fair use Image:GroceJunkie.jpg[edit]

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:GroceJunkie.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 16:26, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:LloydandtheBoombox.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:LloydandtheBoombox.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 13:33, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello RomeoVoid! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 941 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

The article Promo Only has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I don't believe this meets notability guidelines, failed to find significant reliable sources

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. OohBunnies! Musikladen page[edit]

Hi, I have tried to edit your page by adding a section about the Musikladen Go Go girls but I lack the knowledge to set it up correctly. I meant to add my section after your history section but it popped up first, and without the correct section heading. I find the instructions very obscure. If you are happy with the content of my addition could you possibly move it and retitle it? I'm really sorry about this and I don't want to mess up your page but I thought it was interesting additional information. George A J B Kaplan (talk) 04:37, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
