RE:Userpage[edit]

I've protected your page again and blocked the user - probably the same person as before on a new account but at the moment I don't think running an investigation into this, which is called sockpuppetry, is worth it at this time. The user is very obvious and if they return can be blocked on sight. If it does continue I could consider protecting your userpage indefinitely (subject to revue) but this doesn't tend to be done very much.

Unfortunately, there is no legal option here. Wikipedia operates on the understanding that it can be edited by everyone, and though we have policies to restrict editing within Wikipedia they don't pursue such things in a legal way. However using this page to contact the Wikipedia Foundation is an option open to you, as is posting the problem at WP:ANI if it continues. If you do the latter, different options can be discussed.

I understand it is annoying, but Wikipedia vandalism is an unfortunate by product of the "free and open encyclopedia" and is an inherent risk. S.G.(GH) ping! 19:08, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also, if you think you know the real life identity of this person I suggest you do contact the Wikipedia Foundation for advice, however do not reveal the identity of the person here on Wikipedia. S.G.(GH) ping! 19:09, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've just reverted this edit by the way, because you added what is potentially libellious information without a citation. As I advised above, the BLP policy will be enforced regarding vandalism to your userpage, however you need to make sure you supply citations for such edits yourself also. We all ought to abide by it.
