Thanks

I make it a habit to thank people who help out on the pages I work on. So, thanks for your help on the Alucard (Castlevania) page. I'm thinking of reporting that IP address, since it keeps adding in something about "the former father of Trevor Belmont" in inappropriate places when that topic is covered in most articles dealing with those characters anyway. Anyway, just so you know, you're appreciated.

Sorry for the top of the page thing. I'm on an iPad right now and it doesn't handle the txt window that great. The first ref I list is an Imdb page for Gary that links back to the crash addicts imdb page. Hotrodthemovie has an imdb page as well I just can't copy paste it with the iPad. The hotrodthemovie.com link is the filmmakers website. Low budget but it is the official site where you can buy the movie. I could add distributed links for both projects. Would that be enough?

File permission problem with File:CKaiser.JPG

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:CKaiser.JPG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MBisanz talk 02:33, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Hello, Rorshacma. when you tag a page for speedy deletion, as, for example, BOTTS, you should notify the article's creator, otherwise they have no opportunity to contest the tag or to learn what they are doing wrong. Jimmy Pitt talk 18:29, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

Fair enough. I clearly do not normally recognise as notable events which are heralded, not actual; it seemed to me that the event in question - the start of WWI - allowed some flexibility in interpretation of guideline, given that the group, and the procedure they intend to employ, both exist. But I am not dogmatic about it; by all means replace the template. It is likely another admin will action it. I will take no further part in the article's history. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 21:52, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

Declined speedy deletion

I declined your speedy deletion request of Haftbefehl (rapper). At the top of the page, you can see that there is a template recommending translation from the corresponding page on German Wikipedia. Looking at that page, even if you can't read German, you can see what appears to be a claim that the album charted; following some Google Translate work, we can find that one of Haftbefehl's albums reached 59 in the main German record chart; that's enough to prove not only "significance or importance", but often enough to prove notability, per WP:MUSIC. However, you could argue that one charting album isn't enough; if you want, you can take the article to WP:AfD. Qwyrxian (talk) 04:08, 5 October 2011 (UTC)

I really don't know how much you anti-Semitic there in the English Wikipedia. Maybe if I wrote "World Center of Christ" then you would not erase everything. This building is being constructed by the Israeli government nor any commercial entity. I don't see no reason to delete this value, just as there as a projects that were never built are written articles about them. If you've read it all then you will see that this building should start to be built next month sponsored by the Israeli government. פארוק (talk) 16:36, 8 October 2011 (UTC)

Please do remember to click the 'mark this page as patrolled' link at the bottom of the new page if you have performed the standard patrolling tasks. Where appropriate, doing so saves time and work by informing fellow patrollers of your review of the page, so that they do not duplicate efforts. Thanks again for volunteering your time at the new pages patrol project. →Στc. 22:20, 18 October 2011 (UTC)

Hi Rorshacma, I've declined your speedy tag of Allen Atamer since I believe the list of publications is a credible assertion of notability. Welcoming new users

Hi. Thanks for patrolling new pages, but when you go to the article author's talk page to add the speedy notice, if they have not already had a Welcome notice, e.g. if they are a new user, it is a good idea to add one, preferably before the speedy notice. {{welcome}} is a good general one, or {{firstarticle}} if their first article is being speedied, or {{welcome-spam}} if it was advertising. (All those should be subst-ed; "firstarticle" is an oddity - the signature is already built in, so for once you shouldn't add ~~~~.) It lessens the WP:BITEyness of the speedy notice (we get a lot of flak for being unfriendly to new users), and it gives useful links such as WP:YFA which may help the newbie do better next time. Speedy deletions and Use of Edit Summary

Hi! Thanks for your efforts in seeking out and nominating articles for speedy deletion. I've had a check back over your more recent speedy deletion nominations, and none of them have used the edit summary. Should Joseph Baldwin Academy be nominated for AfD?

Hi Rorshacma. Can you look at Joseph Baldwin Academy and see if you think it should be nominated for AfD? The article is about a summer program for kids that takes place at Truman State University. The whole article simply looks like an advertisement or brochure for the program and all the sourcing is to the program's own website pages. The article even has the program's Summer 2012 schedule, which clearly seems to be inappropriate content and only there for promotional purposes. Also, if you look at the talk page, the article appears to have been written by the program's students as part of a project. The talk page also has a comment from a kid who seems to think that article content was just copy and pasted from the program's own website. If you think this article should be nominated, can you start the AfD process? I don't know how to do it. Thanks! --76.189.114.163 (talk) 03:27, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

Merging during an active AfD

Hi. I noticed that you merged some text from Ant lion (Dungeons & Dragons) to List of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 1st edition monsters during WP:Articles for deletion/Ant lion (Dungeons & Dragons). Merging or copying during an active AfD is discouraged by the last bullet of WP:Guide to deletion#You may edit the article during the discussion. (If you are interested in the history, it was added after WT:Articles for deletion/Archive 58#Merging during live AfD in 2009.) A copy from the AfD'd article activates WP:Merge and delete and WP:Copying within Wikipedia#Reusing deleted material, making outright deletion very difficult. You invalidated your own delete recommendation by copying that content.

It's fine to compromise with a merge/redirect, but it would be better if you annotated your comments at the AfD and waited to do the merging. Flatscan (talk) 04:30, 22 September 2012 (UTC)

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
