Welcome![edit]

Hello, Rosalind15!, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome!

Hello Berean Hunter, I am not sure how to use this in order to reply to you. You have gotten me completely wrong here. The last time we spoke I understood what you were saying and did not attempt to ADD anything to build sources as you said it was a conflict of interest and it was on a different page completely. Yesterday I went on to a different page for the Golden State Killer and noted that another user had come on to the page where there had been about 5 books listed (all sources of information on the Golden State Killer cases.) I was not the person who added all of the other information - I only attempted to correct what was already there. I mentioned there was an issue with the page yesterday because (SOMEONE else had added other books - some unrelated to the case) and also while there this other person had changed ISBN numbers so they would not work - they did this because of their OWN self interest. It was certainly not ME who did this. I was trying to ask how we can avoid having that happen in the future. In addition this other person had removed one of the first books ever written about the case (Sudden Terror) I attempted to add it back in. I also attempted to FIX the ISBN numbers that had been purposefully sabotaged. So my information and editing yesterday was to try and FIX what someone else had messed up. I have no issues with building a Wikipedia page so that it reflects what is out there. I have no conflict of interest here - I was only trying to fix what someone else had done and then report it. I cannot imagine why this would get me blocked. I will abide by all rules you have in place. Always. It was someone else who messed up the information there. How can we keep others from deleting sources and resources just because they feel like it? I have only been on here a couple of times and leave things alone. I happen to know about a couple of subjects that I have investigated and studied for years. And so I noticed the errors on the page yesterday and reported it - so help? I was just trying to fix what someone else had messed up. I don't feel you may have understood what happened yesterday and I am NOT a person who does not follow rules. Thank you for your help. I am the one who attempted to report issues that someone else had done. Rosalind

  • For some reason, you decided to ignore me and added the links for Ann Penn back as well as other unacceptable self-published and non-vetted works. That was a big mistake. Blocked for an irreconcilable conflict of interest.
