Arnulfo Trejo[edit]

Thank you for starting the article! I'll add him to the list at WikiProject Mexican-Americans, where there are also lots of tasks you may be interested in or wish to add to. Paz, --Rockero 22:31, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yay! You did Pura Belpré too!--Rockero 22:56, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Elizabeth Martínez[edit]

Hi there. I noticed you added Martínez to the list of articles you'd like to see written. Is she the same Elizabeth Martínez (also known as "Betita") who is a feminist and Chicano Movement activist? The former publisher of El Grito del Norte? If so, I have been meaning to write about her for a long time, and I even have an uncopyrighted photo of her, so I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know if and when you do decide to write the article. If not, then I hope to learn something new when it comes online! Gracias, --Rockero 00:06, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rockero. I sent you a wikipedia email about this but I'll post this here also in case someone else chances on this and is wondering too. NO - they are not the same person. I added the word librarian in parentheses in order to make that distinction. Same thing with Ernestine Rose (librarian) Rosariolibrarian 01:48, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Minnie Two Shoes[edit]

Hi Rosariolibrarian, I just wanted to give you a heads up that I added a few links and formatted the infobox dates on your new article on Minnie Two Shoes. Hopefully it's not a duplication of what you're working on in a rough draft format that isn't visible to me. Looks good by the way. When I did some editing last week on the article on Anna Mae Aquash I was struck by how powerful the quote was by Minnie Two Shoes within that article, so I appreciate your work in creating a bio for her. October 2016[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm CorbieVreccan. I noticed that you recently removed some content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Redirects exist when someone may be looking for an article, but there is substantial coverage in an existing article. Do not blank pages without an adequate edit summary; it is preferable to engage on the talk page before doing such a thing. Consider checking in at WP:NDN if you're wanting to make changes to Indigenous articles. Wikipedia functions by consensus. Thanks. - CorbieV 21:15, 26 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I made the change because the redirect was incorrect. LaDonna Brave Bull Allard is a woman who were are drafting a biographical page about at the moment. She is not the Dakota Access Pipeline Protests per se. That redirect is confusing and should be eliminated.

See the response on my talk page. Please learn how Wikipedia works before editing further. - CorbieV 23:09, 26 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
There's more on my talk page, but this is important so I'm duplicating it here. I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, but think about this: Rosario, Given the problems we've been seeing coming out of the student edit-a-thon, I am putting on my admin hat here and very strongly advising that you and/or the students you have working on this draft any proposed article on LaDonna in your sandbox only, and link to it on the Indigenous Wikiproject and from the talk page of the Pipeline protest article, so more experienced Wikipedians can work on it as well, before trying to put it in mainspace. LaDonna is a respected elder and it is important that this be done right if it's to be done at all. I haven't contacted her about this, but in the past I don't think she would have wanted a WP article, and I'm not certain this is a good idea. She wants the pipeline stopped. It's not about her. - CorbieV 23:20, 26 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Water Protectors[edit]

Thanks for working on this in your sandbox rather than in mainspace (User:Rosariolibrarian/sandbox). Looking it over, I'd like to give you some feedback to save you some time and energy. "Water Protectors" is what we call on WP a "dicdef." It is a term more suitable for a dictionary definition, not an encyclopdia article. At most, it warrants a brief mention in the Dakota Access Pipeline protests article as a term of self-identification used by some protestors.
As has come up in other discussions, the way we work with interconnected topics on WP is to start with brief, sourced mentions of the topic in the broader article. If the sourced section becomes large enough to warrant its own article, and meets other article criteria, then the section is split off onto its own page.
This is not my idea or personal preference, it's how the Wikipedia community structures our content. Right now if you search on the phrase, there are already many WP articles that relate to the idea of "water protectors", so a redirect is not even appropriate. In creating new articles we must think of how they fit in to the 'pedia as a whole, not just into the one area of our interest. If a brief mention is added to the main article, people will still be able to find it by the search function. Also, by adding sourced, relevant content to an established article, the community of experienced editors is made aware of it and can work on it collectively and by consensus, per WP process. @Rosariolibrarian:I moved your recently created article, Belkis Ramírez to a draft, because it is obviously under construction. Please move it back or contact me or an administrator when ready--Kostas20142 (talk) 17:39, 29 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Kostas20142:Hello. I moved it. could you please review to make sure it;s ok? Rosariolibrarian (talk) 20:14, 29 March 2017 (UTC)Rosariolibrarian[reply]

Ways to improve Belkis Ramírez[edit]

Hi, I'm Mduvekot. Rosariolibrarian, thanks for creating Belkis Ramírez!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. I'm not convinced that the subject, Belkis Ramírez, meets our notability requirements for artists, WP:ARTISTS.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

ArbCom 2017 election voter message[edit]

Hello, Rosariolibrarian. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
