This draft has notability issues and tone issues. The artist is probably notable, but the references do not establish notability, and most of them are associated with the artist. The tone is non-neutral. An example is 'Yim Maukun arrived penniless in Hong Kong in 1980, a self-described “country bumpkin” awed by the bright lights and skyscrapers of the immense and Westernized city.'

Categories[edit]

Hello. Please can you be a bit more careful when adding categories as you did here - such as checking that the categories actually exist? In general only the first word of a category is capitalised. Also try and avoid general categories such as "Oil painters" which would contain thousands and thousands of names - we're not using categories as some kind of generic tag. Instead look at the category hierarchy and you'll see existing categories such as Category:20th-century Taiwanese painters. On the other hand, you also want to avoid WP:Overcategorization - it's about finding a balance. Cheers. Le Deluge (talk) 09:48, 11 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
