Reversions at Eckhart Tolle article[edit]

You have now repeatedly reverted a cited content from https://vancouversun.com/news/staff-blogs/eckhart-tolle-has-insights-but-not-the-answer, that aims to present a critical view of ET and balances the current exalted status that is being pushed by his company people, who are also edited and contributing to his wiki article. See WP:ACHIEVE NPOV WP:BALANCE Cigarlover (talk) 13:48, 24 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Let's discuss this on the talk page for the article -- which is what you should have done the first time your edit was reverted, by the way. I dig your username, dude. Regards. Rray (talk) 13:57, 24 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of edit warring noticeboard discussion[edit]

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. Cigarlover (talk) 17:32, 24 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Great! I'm looking forward to getting some additional opinions about your changes to the article. Thanks for the heads-up Rray (talk) 19:19, 24 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This issue needs to be investigated and being escalated to User:Barkeep49. In the meantime, it will be good if you could WP:DISCLOSE your affiliation to Eckhart and his organization, so we know that there is no WP:COI--Cigarlover (talk) 20:53, 24 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I addressed this on the Administrators' noticeboard, already, but dude, I don't even LIKE Tolle, much less have any affiliation with his organization. I don't know what you're hoping to accomplish, but I promise you that making silly accusations won't help you achieve any of your goals here. Rray (talk) 20:58, 24 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Spider-Man; Why not reverted back his martial arts and hand-to-hand combat skills in infobox article[edit]

Hi this is Eliab, um so I kinda noticed that one of Marvel superhero Spider-Man's abilities in the infobox, martial arts is deleted, but according to Spider-Man's powers and abilities, he is said to be honed in martial arts by using his spider powers due his years of fighting crime, and there's the evidence that after Spider-Man is self-taught in martial art moves that are reliable to his powers, next; there's the evidence that he was trained by Captain America and Shang-Chi, a two martial art superhero experts, so why revert like "Master martial artist and hand-to-hand combatant" in the infobox in Spider-Man?

This would be something to discuss at the article's talk page rather than on my user talk page. Also, you shouldn't insert your comments in the middle of discussions on someone's talk page. They're in order for a reason. Rray (talk) 14:54, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request for collaboration[edit]

Hi,

I am preparing the article Gambling in Quebec. It is my first article so I am looking for facilitation to avoid common mistakes. I have found that you have already created a similar article about USA. In few hours I will be ready to show it. If you will think that it is too raw for the main space I will just try to rework it. Also, I tried to avoid any brands and give a basic overlook for a question. So let's keep in touch! User cruiser Ben (talk) 16:59, 4 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Here it is User:User_cruiser_Ben/Gambling_in_Quebec. Is it fine?

You should have written a lede before adding the article to mainspace. "Article name is Gambling in Quebec" isn't an appropriate lede at all. I'll leave that for you to update. I made some minor copyedits. Rray (talk) 20:51, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
thank I will try to fix it in short time User cruiser Ben (talk) 08:01, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Does such lede enough? User cruiser Ben (talk) 06:29, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

How do you feel like it compares with ledes in similar articles? Rray (talk) 20:19, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article Home Made Simple has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Branding of several things, none of which are notable on their own. Current sources are just PR fluff

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. 2007 was a long time ago. I don't even remember writing that article, although looking at the history, I did. Weird. At any rate, no argument from me. Thanks for the headsup. Rray (talk) 01:37, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Reversion to Dying Earth[edit]

I don't know why you reverted my edit, you didn't leave any explanatory comment. The material was factual, on topic and properly cited, and the heading change better matched the actual content. Kitoba (talk) 15:09, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This would be better addressed on the talk page for the article rather than here on my talk page. Rray (talk) 16:29, 13 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Reversion at Card counting[edit]

Hi! You reverted my very first edit at Card counting (I'm planned more of it) and describe it as 'reference spam'. But I did more than just adding the reference, why you reverted all of it? You could just change the reference although it was fine enough. Beside that, what reference should I choose instead? They all looks pretty much the same on this topic. I will be very grateful if you guide me how to choose 'not spam' referense for this edit (I'm aware of WP:RS). Thank you! Mr.boombook (talk) 13:32, 6 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Let's discuss it on the article talk page instead of here, but the short answer is that you linked to a source that shows no signs of being reliable. Also, content shouldn't be added without an appropriate reference, so deleting the additional content until a reliable reference is added is the appropriate edit to make in this situation. It's your responsibility as a new editor to learn about what constitutes a reliable source for the content you're adding. Maybe start by reading Wikipedia:Reliable_sources. I hope that helps. Rray (talk) 13:48, 6 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your answer. Like I said earlier, I'm aware of WP:RS. And I think this source is reliable enough if we take into account that we are talking about gambling. Could you please explain, why are you think otherwise? While reverted my edit you not only delete additional content, but also bookmark to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_Horsemen_of_the_Apocalypse_(blackjack). I'd like to put it back, don't you mind? Mr.boombook (talk) 15:09, 6 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see anything on the reliable sources page related to using lower-quality sources for articles in the gambling space. Please let me know if I'm missing something. Also, please bring it up your proposed content changes for the article rather than here, please. That's the appropriate place to discuss content for that article, not here. Thanks. GGPoker draft review[edit]

Hello, I see that you're a member of both the Gambling and Poker Wikiprojects - I work for NSUSLab, GGPoker's platform developer, and I'm looking for feedback on a draft article for GGPoker. Just to be clear, I have a financial conflict of interest which is why I submitted the draft via AfC. The first draft of the article was declined, but the article has since been edited and I'd really appreciate any kind of objective feedback, be that positive or negative.

Anyway, thanks for your time! Chris H (GGPoker) (talk) 11:00, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
