How can I add reliable, independent sourcing to my Wikipedia page? Rtyjhnghfn (talk) 21:35, 20 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Rtyjhnghfn

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Nagol0929, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, The Bibites, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to contest the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Nagol0929}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!

Links to draft articles[edit]

Information icon Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to The Bibites. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - 11:01, 24 May 2023 (UTC) Arjayay (talk) 11:01, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The reason that both the draft and the article do not have independent secondary sources is because I cannot find any. Rtyjhnghfn (talk) 04:01, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If there are no reliable secondary sources, the topic does not qualify for an article. TornadoLGS (talk) 04:11, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Well, there are no reliable, secondary sources for my article, how can I make my article suitable for Wikipedia? Also,I made the The Bibites Wikipedia article because before my article was made, there were no mentions of the Bibites around, and I was just trying to create a Wikipedia page about a artificial life simulation that before, Wikipedia just did not mention. Rtyjhnghfn (talk) 04:17, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't just mean the page is unsuitable for an article. I mean the game itself does not qualify to have an article about it. TornadoLGS (talk) 04:24, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I wrote this page because Wikipedia did not mention The Bibites before my page was written. Rtyjhnghfn (talk) 04:34, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

May 2023[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with The Bibites and Talk:The Bibites. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Dawnbails (talk) 18:44, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The reason that I oppose the deletion of the "The Bibites" Wikipedia article is because if deleted, Wikipedia will have no mentions of The Bibites. Rtyjhnghfn (talk) 23:21, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your opposition to the page being deleted does not allow you to remove deletion templates. You may participate in the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Bibites. If the consensus is to delete the article (which seems to be the way it's leaning), it will be deleted. This process will not be stopped just because the article's author wants to keep it. Wikipedia policy is to only have articles on notable subjects. The Bibites is, by all appearances, not notable. TornadoLGS (talk) 18:18, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Talk:The Bibites, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Your AfD hasn't been closed, nor has consensus on it been reached. Don't remove the AfD template and then add one on the talk page describing consensus to keep the article. A tag has been placed on Bright Eyes (Planet of The Apes) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Sincerely, Key of G Minor. Information icon Hello, I'm Mellk. I noticed that you recently removed content from Untermensch without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Notice

The article Bright Eyes (Planet of The Apes) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced, no evidence of notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Edit warring[edit]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Neurax Worm shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. * Pppery * it has begun... 16:11, 9 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
