Stubs

Hello,

Thank you for your stub submission. You may wish to note that it is preferable to use a stub template from Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Stub types instead of using simply {{stub}}, if you can.

Thanks!

I need help on Fly to the sky...

I know you don't know much about them, but I need more than myself to clean up the article. I've seen you plenty of times on talk pages of Korean artists, so I assume that you have at least some knowledge about Fly to the sky or just K-pop in general.. Just rewording the sentences and changing the structure of the article(which is still messy) would be very helpful. mirageinred 19:33, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Harisu

Hi bnro, you removed a sentence from thee article stating it is is a weasel phrase. It was about Harisu being a Korean adaptation of Hot Issue . Well bro it is really so. There are reliable sources on the internet which state that.

  1. Prepositions in song and album titles shouldn't be capitalised on Wikipedia. See Wikipedia:Naming_conventions#Album_titles_and_band_names.
  2. Please don't rename pages by cutting and pasting the content into a new title, because the edit history is lost and this violates Wikipedia's copyright policies. Pages should only be renamed using the "Move" tab. Thanks. Extraordinary Machine 23:10, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
The Original Barnstar
Your edits are greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work, and I hope to see you more often on discussion pages. Cheers~ mirageinred 00:07, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

You never seem to answer this page, but here I go...

Okay, it seems like you never noticed the barnstar I gave you, so I'm doubting whether you will answer this page, but here I go. I think you noticed that Si Won of Super Junior has a page name Choi Si Won. I'm not sure if it should be moved to Si Won, or stay the way it is. I hope to hear your opinion on this. If you see this, please post your comment at Si Won's page. mirageinred 14:46, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Image:SESShooTwentyPromo.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:SESShooTwentyPromo.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok 16:52, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Downtown

Hi

I just noticed your comments made on the talk page for Downtown (song) and I want to point out I agree completely with you. I've re-edited back the vandalism by the user and I am going to speak to a mod - cos its obvious he thinks he owns the page because he created; Im not interested in getting into editing wars over such a small thing!

Anyway, thanks for your contribution - keep an eye on the article! Rimmers 18:17, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

I removed the line you added to the biography section of the Harisu article, since it appeared to be both POV and weasel worded.

Regarding the sales figures you added to the discography section, it seems obvious that those figures are only accurate up to that particular date (i.e. Oct 2001 for her first album). I think that's something that needs to be made clear in the article, since it almost certainly does not represent an up to date account of her total album sales. PC78 14:12, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

there are few Wikipedians who know this crap stuff.

I don't get you, are you saying KPop is crap??? No one contributes because wikipedia has no users interested in them, people who are interested don't use wiki, only a few as you said... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jackietang33 (talkcontribs) 07:07, 6 December 2006 (UTC).

I meant crap as in "stuff". Not as in bad stuff. And btw, it helps when you SIGN your name to comments. It even tells you to under the buttons, with the four "~"s there. Eesh. SKS2K6 07:18, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

CariDee English

While it is great you are updating the page, please remember that adding things such as "During the show, she was frequently commended for her photos." and "However, she was also criticized for being too wild and outgoing to the point of endangering herself" is un-encyclopedic. Without cited sources it violates WP:NPOV. Just trying to help --Brian (How am I doing?) 00:00, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

After a seven-year-long career and especially with the solo album coming up, I thought Brian Joo deserved a separate page. Please look to see if there are any errors. (there are probably many) mirageinred 03:34, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Maybe I can help. Old articles (2003 and before) seemed to have been lost, but I'll try my best. mirageinred 03:48, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks. I've removed the duplicate chronologies because I'm not sure how a "main single" is defined. I've left a message on the user's talk page asking them about it. Extraordinary Machine 19:31, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

Re: KBS

Being an admin doesn't mean that much, and I'm happy to talk about this. A couple of edits in the history of KBS were deleted, I have restored them so it is easier to see what happened. Basically, Kusunose changed the redirect from Korean Broadcasting System to KBS (disambiguation) - so they must have though that the Korean broadcaster was not important enough to have the KBS redirect. I just changed the name of the disambiguation page. If you want to have KBS redirect to the Korean boradcaster, I recommend you have a discussion at Talk:KBS (and invite Kusunose). You could use the Wikipedia:Requested moves procedure for the discussion. If it turns out KBS should redirect to the Korean broadcaster, you can use the "move" tab to move KBS (the disambiguation page) to KBS (disambiguation), then change the redirect at KBS to point to Korean Broadcasting System.--Commander Keane 01:55, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

ANTM Grammar

Speaking of which, don't ya think that there is no 's' after always... for eg. 'She always like to play with dolls', definitely NOT 'She always likes to play with dolls'. So basically it is hard to stress whether to use the singular term or not because it is a present continuous; especially with dealing with 'always' as it is the same with 'must' or 'have', if you are so stressed on using the term 'always', should i suggest that u take away the 'always' and instead just put 'She proclaims herself....' instead?! I think that should come to a compromisation. And btw, are u sure u and user: Elcadao arent the same person. it seems that coincidentially both of you are contributing and defending this article alot. And you both come from the same ancestry and country.... please do take note of the consequences of sockpuppetry. Stealthusa 10:46, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

Please do note that i am not taking it personally. We are all here to learn and Wikipedia is also a place whereby healthy debates and coming to co-sensual compromise. I do not understand in what way did i give you the impression that i am defensive but rather stating my point across. If u say so, then perhaps i stand corrected. As a native English speaker, we all overlook sometimes... The reason i ask if u and Elcadao are the same person because the two of you has always reverting and rectifying other users' edits on ANTM articles at the same time, same period. Of course, sometimes, this brings queries to other users like me to suspect that - but whether u two are the same or not, it is only you to know.

Whatever talk between me and Elcadao are strictly our business, of course he used to make comments that are uncomfortable, but it has been resolved. But i do suggest that next time if you wish to 'talk' to a user in regards to the articles mentioned, perhaps your choice of words gotta be more tactful. Perhaps u might not even realised that the way you phrased your sentences and response to other users online, can somehow come acorss as arrogant and know-it-all. Should you wish to correct someone, do so in a polite manner.... no one likes to be corrected harshly, treated like children. As Wikipedia mentions, all responses should assume good faith and no personal attacks. Thank you! Stealthusa 09:20, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Weasely Statement

Thanks for removing that statement on the Paris Hilton article. I wasn't sure to remove it or not, as someone had put it in. I put a citation tag on it instead, so the person could source it. Acalamari 21:48, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

YA Entertainment

User:KatieFlanagan has moved YA Entertainment to YA Entertainment (Entertainment Company) after blanking the old page and attempting to blank the discussion page. Also, user:Drama950 seems like a sockpuppet. What is she doing? Oncamera 02:35, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Oh, so the page is back again? Yeah, it is suspicious how a perfect page was created by someone as their first contribution. I don't think the company has enough notability according to WP:CORP... and it's probably Katie again. I think it falls under WP:CSD, recreation of deleted material, since the page should have probably gone through WP:UNDEL to be brought back to life, and fails "unremarkable people, groups, companies and web content." I don't know, is it supposed to be nominated for WP:AfD again or a speedy deletion? on camera 06:37, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
No, I haven't done it before, but I never proposed an article for deletion either. Do you want to do it? It's simpler than the WP:AfD with just adding a templete found here at the top, and you should probably include a link to here as one of the reasons for deletion and for the reasons I mentioned above. on camera 06:59, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
I still think it fails WP:CORP/WP:NOT in that it's not notable, so putting up an WP:AfD again is probably what one is supposed to do next even though the admins thought otherwise to the speedy deletion. And the references on that page are mostly press releases from YA which doesn't seem right. on camera 09:00, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
FYI, someone re-created YA Entertainment. This was previously nominated and voted on for deletion. Groink 01:21, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

In accordance with WP:DATE, please remember not to remove date wikilinks that include the day of the month, e.g. January 25 and January 25 2007; this is so users' date preferences will work. However, removing solitary year and year-month links (e.g. 2007 and January 2007) is recommended. Thanks. Extraordinary Machine 18:03, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:RachaelLampaBlur.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:RachaelLampaBlur.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BigrTex 15:52, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

You may want to take a look at the edits that introduced all of the stuff you tagged OR, the contribution history of the editor, and consider just removing it all. I would certainly agree with that decision. Pairadox (talk) 07:02, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

I should, eh? :P It's just that when it's not a page on which I contribute regularly (in this case, I was just going through page), I just like to leave the pages alone and let someone who has a more personal interest in it deal with it. But yeah, I think I might just remove it. We'll see what happens. SKS2K6 (talk) 07:05, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Hello SKS2K6, I noticed you revert vandalism occasionally. Would you like me to grant your account rollback rights to help you revert vandalism more easily? Edmonton meetup

Hello - I'm contacting you with this message because you have listed yourself in Category:Wikipedians in Edmonton - if you are not actually in Edmonton, I apologize for bothering you; unfortunately, the sort of spamming I'm doing isn't conducive to reading everybody's userpages thoroughly. I am investigating the possibility of creating a Wikipedia meetup in Edmonton for sometime during the spring or summer of 2008. If you're interested, please visit Wikipedia:Meetup/Edmonton, add yourself to the list of interested editors, and watchlist the page. Cheers, Sarcasticidealist (talk) 00:00, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Suppose the song never does well and thus never charts. The song would then be non-notable. It hasn't been released as a single yet, so although being sung by a notable performer, per WP:MUSIC not every song should have its own article. When the song is released and charts or otherwise acheives some sort of notability, I or any otehr administrator will gladly unprotect it.

The protection comes because sockpuppets should not hold sway over consensus operations by subversion. Consensus should have established the right of the article to exist at this time, but since it did not, I am enforcing community consensus: the rule of law here. - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 20:12, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Removing minor charts

Hello. Could you please remove some minor charts(tv/radio charts in small countries-which have insignificant music market- like FYR Macedonia, Bulgaria) in Madonna's WIKI page about her recent single "4 Minutes"? 4 Minutes Thank you--Chronisgr (talk) 11:53, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

"Touch My Body" National Chart positions

Hi. May I ask why you have been removing official national chart positions from the charts table of "Touch My Body"? I have read Wikipedia's Chart section and I did not understand how you came up with an idea to delete the offical positions from countries like Philipinnes and Turkey. —Preceding unsigned comment added by DesmondDH (talkcontribs) 18:48, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Mandy Moore/UFC

I'm not going to add that again as of yet, but when I get some visual confirmation(stills of her in the crowd), rest assured, I'll do so.DiScOrD tHe LuNaTiC (talk) 14:57, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

SK, I've replaced the UFC bit in Mandy's PL section; please don't remove it this time. If anyone's thinking of making the argument, saying that she's at UFC cards all the time is NOT original research; it wasn't like I flew to Hollywood and interviewed her about going to Vegas for the shows, anyone who bought the PPV saw it broadcast live nationwide on. Thx.DiScOrD tHe LuNaTiC (talk) 10:02, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

WikiProject Korea/Popular culture help

Hey there, I've seen your name on a lot of the Korean music articles I've viewed (TVXQ, etc), and things seem a bit deserted over at WP Korea/Popular culture, so I was wondering if you'd mind popping over there and taking a look at the topic I started on the talk page. I'd really appreciate it - I'm hoping to get started on expanding & getting sources for some Korean artists' articles in the near future. Thanks so much! Hamuhamu (talk) 03:45, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

Charts

If you're a chart nazi, why not go do the same to No One by Alicia Keys which has about a million charts? Or 4 Minutes by Madonna. So many other articles have loads of charts without them being removed.

I really don't see the issue personally, they're not clogging up anything and show an accurate representation of how the song charted. The article does not show the full picture of how Bleeding Love performed worldwide. Ireland, Switzerland and Denmark are not minor charts but valid ones. You're ruining the article by being super pedantic. Adi39 (talk) 15:53, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

I would be fine if other articles adhered to these rules as well. Bleeding Love is the first article I've ever seen where these ridiculously strict rules are reinforced and that's only by yourself. Why should this article suffer simply because you contribute to it when there are thousands more which show a clear representation of the song's performance? Surely all articles should be reinforced the same way. Adi39 (talk) 16:33, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
