Sir, As per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mason Moore for Mason Moore , the reason stated "No significant coverage" and non compliance with WP:PORNBIO, but i would like to express my view over the issue, That i had gone through the Actress profile well, Though she is new to this genre, but still She has been covered significant under what exactly we call for Porn actress, she is not an actress from Hollywood, so we might call for significant status for her. As stated in WP:PORNBIO, Though she had not won a well-known award, such as those listed in Category:Pornographic film awards or Category:Film awards. but she had been covered & nominated in AVN Awards like that of AVN Hall of Fame. & she had contributed a lot in Porn Industry at such a little time. Well the aforementioned details are formalised, & the informal one is that, i am new to wikipedia, & would to like contribute for my lifetime, so i am looking for your positive response over this issue, Please assist me. Thanks. (  Abu Torsam  12:05, 13 December 2009 (UTC))[reply]

retag for deletion: page on George Bradt[edit]

Just noticed that the page on George Bradt (me) has been re-tagged for possible deletion. There was a whole discussion around this in November and you closed the discussion with a Keep decision. During that discussion others modified the article to put in more references. Given my clear COI, I'm refraining from touching this page. How does this work? Do we need to re-open the discussion or does the November decision still stand? Gbradt (talk) 11:51, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Since you nominate and !vote on a fair number of software articles, perhaps you could also add them to the centralized/specialized Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Software list. Proposed deletion instead of AfD[edit]

Hey. I notice that you nominate a lot of articles about software packages (among other things) for deletion via AfD. Have you considered using WP:PROD for some of these? It would probably make things go a lot more smoothly. The majority of the nominations you make seem truly uncontroversial, but few people are arsed to comment on them, leading to multiple relistings and a clogging up of AfD. If anyone removes the PROD tag, you can just proceed to AfD as usual. Thanks for all the hard work! — ækTalk 05:38, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

coming from a somewhat different direction, I'd make the same suggestion. You can do this safely--several of us check every one of them, & if any thing needs discussion, we'll catch it. (the other thing that would help of course is not forgetting to do WP:BEFORE--then a number of the articles wouldn't have to be deleted at all, which is even better.) New York Rocker[edit]

This magazine did in fact exist. It was a very influential one in the 1970's punk/new wave era judging by it's account in the Village Voice

"In the spring of 1975, more than a year before the release of the Ramones' debut album, Alan Betrock founded the magazine New York Rocker. In doing so, he changed American popular culture forever." http://www.villagevoice.com/2000-04-18/music/music/

I don't know what to say about your DYK nomination for this article. It is not remotely close to the quality needed for a DYK article. Just a very basic thumbnail bio from grubbing around on the web, with huge gaps. But the news item is unusual, and other sources back it up. Let's see what the response is. Thanks. :~} Aymatth2 (talk) 01:29, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I did not mean to sound negative. I am really pleased you nominated the article. I am not proud of it, but I think people like this are really important, and Wikipedia should have much more about them. This will get other editors looking at it and related articles and discussing how to make improvements, and that is really useful. Thanks again. Aymatth2 (talk) 01:53, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pop Go The Sixties[edit]

I guess that's up to you! This programme was broadcast across Western Europe on January 1, 1970, one of the very few music programmes outside of Eurovision to achieve that distinction. It is also the only UK/German TV entertainment production ever broadcast on BBC1 on prime time. The BBC considered it significant enough to archive, unlike any of the contemporary pop shows, which had their tapes wiped. It has been repeated many times on various channels across the continent. Clips from the show are often used on BBC compilation shows. It was repeated on both BBC4 and Yesterday in January 2010. I think simply because you are not aware of the show shouldn't be grounds for deletion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TVArchivistUK (talkcontribs) 13:36, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just wanted to say: great job finding sources for this article. I'm not sure why I couldn't find any of them myself - obviously I was doing something wrong. Anyway, you've clearly demonstrated notability here, so I'm withdrawing the AFD. Robofish (talk) 13:46, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

looking at that afd, which was kept, it seems to me that not a single keep vote was legitimately based on policy. i believe, therefore, that the article was kept by the admin in error. have you ever started a deletion review? Theserialcomma (talk) 17:43, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

must be doing something wrong. Am trying to improve this film's page and just had another two reviews taken down. suggestions for how i can improve this? thanks Shelleyk3425 (talk) 03:43, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

They were not "taken down" but moved to the talk page because review links do not go in the external links section. Had you encorporated them into a receiption section, as Joe has now done, that would have been fine. Joe, regarding the question of "since when"[3], WP:ELMAYBE #1 which formerly allowed review links was repealed per consensus on November 6, 2009[4]. Such links should be moved to the talk page, until someone is ready to incorporate them into the reception section as you did. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 15:42, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

inre: Grown Up[edit]

I can understand why you sent the article to AFD... far better than to prod for speedy and more likely to get some ttention. I have already begun cleanup and have found a few more sources. Apparently Joanna Priestley is rather notable for her many award-winning animated films. With the number of awards this one has won, with it being both commercially re-released AND in retrospectives more than 5 years after initial release, I think we can make it a keeper per sources [5], [6], [7]. Wanna help? Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 21:40, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Joe, I think it took some guts to pull out of that RFA. Joe, I didn't see your RFA until just now. If you decide to run again in the future, I'd recommend spending more time getting a thorough nomination that emphasizes your strengths, and spending more time developing thorough answers to the questions. For example, I reviewed your contributions and one of the most valuable things you do, verifying hooks at DYK, isn't even mentioned in your RFA answers. That work shows that you are capable of examining and vetting text, and that you can carefully apply guidelines and policies—a skill set that is completely missing from your nomination and answers. --Andy Walsh (talk) 16:17, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I also didn't see your RfA until after it was closed. Sorry it didn't go so well, been there and know how it feels. Keep up the good work you do. J04n(talk page) 10:45, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Sorry that folded before I got round to checking your contributions. Having seen you at AFD and noticed your writing before, I'd be surprised if you hadn't met my RFA standards. thanks, i think others may have tried that but they get replaced. Think they may be doing it incorrectly. trying to follow procedure :) Shelleyk3425 (talk) 00:45, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
appreciate the response. so my opinion counts too ha ha :) What drew me to this in the first place was the tag invite to improve articles right at the top banner. Learning this has been a challenge. I may misunderstand but the point of editing and improving articles is to address the tag problems so they're better more accurate, properly referenced and unbiased etc. so if i think my editing has addressed tag concerns and remove them and they get replaced then what? I guess give up and let somebody else edit it :). thanks again Shelleyk3425 (talk) 00:58, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
