Speedy deletion of Audicom (PC audio cards)[edit]

A tag has been placed on Audicom (PC audio cards) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. ...... Dendodge.TalkHelp 16:07, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Audicom (PC audio cards)[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Audicom (PC audio cards), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Jrod2 (talk) 17:29, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Audicom (PC audio cards)[edit]

I have nominated Audicom (PC audio cards), an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Audicom (PC audio cards). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Your misunderstanding of copyright[edit]

Even if you take the screenshot, the copyright is owned by the company that made the program. They own the layout and the design, and as such they own the image. Because of this you have to use this license: {{non-free software screenshot}} and provide a fair-use rationale. I can do the latter for you if you want. asenine t/c\r 00:10, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright issue[edit]

I shall, although remember in future to do this yourself to save other editors time. Have a nice day! :) asenine t/c\r 16:48, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, also please remember to keep size below 3/4 megapixel when images are non-free. I will lower their resolution now. Thanks! asenine t/c\r 16:52, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits at Wikipedia[edit]

At first, I thought that you and Mr. Bonello came to Wikipedia for company promotional reasons, claims of authority and what not. Right now, I am leaning towards believing that your approach to make sure people know of your achievements as well as Mr. Bonellos's, is totally misguided and inappropriate. That said, I can help fix the issues that prevent you from educating people. All ask is you do this within our policies and guidelines. let me know if you want to proceed this way.

Jrod2 (talk) 02:18, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That was very informative, Sebastian. I wish you've had this talk with an admin prior to embarking with Mr. Bonello on making contibutions because the way it was done raised some flags and I know now it wasn't yours and Mr. Bonello's intention, but sooner or later if not me, someone else would have started to see these edit patterns and delete for lack of the right citations. Wikipedia operates mainly on consensus, but policies can overrule consensus or guidelines. It's the law at WP. If someone deletes or undo an edit, you can't just revert it back. You need to join the discussion at the talk page and make a point, if consensus agrees with you, your edits are included, however, if you are reverted by a violation of policy, it doesn't matter how long you discuss it or how many editors might agree with you. That said, I will support the idea of documenting everything you told me, however your edits to audio pages like Mp3, Magnetic Tape, Room acoustic, Broadcast automation, History of sound recording, etc, needs to be done within our guidelines and with proper citations. I can help you with that, but you should let me see what you want to include on each article and what citation you want to use for reference. As far as Audicom (Pc card) it's most likely going to be deleted and even If a change opinion, someone else will nominate it again anyway. That's why it should be merged to Audicom page which it appears to be a keep' and in which I will change my opinion if it looks like it might be deleted. Another approach is if you give me all the information possible to write an article on Solidyne, that way it would be appropriate to include the external links to solidynepro.com and even decide if merging the Audicom article with it, is practical or not. In my view, is best to have an impressive page with lots of good details than a wimpy one. I would give you an address for you to send this material. By having me start your company article, more details could be added later by you or Mr. Bonello or anybody else. What do you think about this approach? Let me know Sebastian. Jrod2 (talk) 21:57, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Amigo Ledesma, I have started the process. Unfortunately, I've run out of time so I will continue editing your article later. Meantime, go ahead and continue editing Audicom which I have withdrawn nomination to delete. However, you should hold on to adding content to other articles until the Audicom PC CARD is merged. Talk to you later. Jrod2 (talk) 09:56, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately and as I predicted, the PC Cards page is deleted and has been lost. But as I said above, the Audicom article is been kept. I managed to recover some info from the old google archive, but I am not sure how much was lost. Certainly, all of your last edit is gone. Nevertheless re-add the info and build upon the new foundation. I could ask an admin to bring back the page to merge, but I don't think too much was lost and thus, necessary. I will continue to help as my time allows. Jrod2 (talk) 19:24, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
A user suggested improving the article with more details about its performance. Could you address this and even answer this user at Audicom's talk page? Thanks. 11:13, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Notice

The article Camara Argentina de Proveedores y Fabricantes de Equipos de Radiodifusion has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced and fails WP:GNG. No significant coverage in Spanish language press.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
