Hello, SPMCC88, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Joshua Ramsey, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Joshua Ramsey, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. this is my first article and I chose to do a biography on someone whom I saw that did not exist in Wikipedia. How can i make this a legal article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by SPMCC88 (talkcontribs) 22:00, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I would highly suggest reading through WP:YFA, which explains how to write a good article, and then use the Article wizard to create a Draft that will be reviewed by experienced editors after submission. If you want more help, change the {{help me-helped}} back into a {{help me}}, stop by the Teahouse, or Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 22:35, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to add that many other Wikipedia use the User/sandbox for drafts, and it is a better place to practice editing than the actual User page. You can still use it, however enWp seems to prefer the Draft process, as mentioned in WP:YFA. Good luck with your further editing! JAGulin (talk) 07:20, 7 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Just to underline what else has been said here, SPMCC88, Wikipedia curates its articles. User pages are not articles, they are meant to tell other editors about you, as a Wikipedian. (Please look at other user pages for examples.) Sometimes editors will attempt to use their user page to create bad articles in the hopes they'll escape unwanted curation, which is not allowed. Thanks for letting me know. To be honest with you, my lack of experience on writing wiki articles led me to think that whatever I posted on my page was where I was supposed to put my article... A little embarrassing to admit but that's the truth. None the less, I appreciate everyone's input. All these tips are only helping me understand wiki better. Here's a question that I would really appreciate being answered though... if my page was deleted would I still be able to work on rewriting my article in the draft process? --SPMCC88 (talk) 16:04, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Is the subject of your first article notable by our standards? As it's a biography, is this person the subject of multiple, non-trivial mentions in what we would define as reliable sources? And finally, is the subject you, your boss, your relative, or someone else close to you? If the answer to any part of that is "no", don't write the article. --Dweller (talk) Become old fashioned! 16:18, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Here is my position on writing this article: I am the employee of someone who wants to have me write the biography for Josh Ramsey, my boss is not Josh Ramsey, but this task has been assigned to me by someone who knows Josh Ramsey. Will that suffice to continue with this article?--SPMCC88 (talk) 17:13, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I assume then that you work for a PR company? It seems odd to me if you're in any other industry and your boss directs you to write an article about a friend of theirs. That sounds like the boss telling you, as an accountant for example, to wash a third party's car during your lunch hour. Am I wrong? Chris Troutman (talk) 17:49, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Pretty much, with the exception that I do not work for a PR firm, and with the insight that I posses the ability to write papers via perks of my college debt. I've just never done it on Wikipedia. So, with all that background shared, in your expert opinion, am i still allowed to write this biography?--SPMCC88 (talk) 18:14, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
