ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Pero e Pêro[edit]

Olá, vi que moveu a página de Pero Vaz de Caminha para a forma correta e mais usada nas fontes que fazem bom uso do português. Gostaria de registar que alguém voltou a mudá-la para a versão anterior, usando um link como argumento e ignorando as outras fontes que afirmam categoricamente que Pêro faz parte da antiga ortografia da língua portuguesa. Voltei a movê-lo, até por statu quo, acrescentando fontes a este respeito, mas se possível continue a vigiar o artigo. Obrigado pelas suas contribuições para a Wikipédia, especialmente em assuntos relacionados com a história dos países de língua portuguesa. Obrigado. Eu já pretendia mover a página no ano passado, porque me deixava incomodado o fato de "Pêro" só ser usado nessa página, enquanto em páginas de outras línguas e até mesmo em páginas da Wikipédia inglesa usava-se "Pero" nas páginas de pessoas com esse nome. Eu havia movido a página, sem botar qualquer referência, já que achei que ninguém iria reverter pelo fato da maioria das páginas usarem "Pero" e por ter percebido que já existia uma discussão um pouco avançada sobre o assunto na página de discussão.
