when adding project tags to talk pages - it would/could be quite easy to leave the default tags of class and importance as well... JarrahTree 10:59, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please[edit]

could you make an effort to add assessment details - very easy - and all it needs is lowest default - thanks... JarrahTree 11:05, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[edit]

for your addition of project tags on talk pages - any effort to help further by adding the extra items to validate in the assessment system would be appreciated - thank you... JarrahTree 10:59, 13 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

is there any reason that you dont understand the request[edit]

if you are editing english wikipedia it is assumed that you have english - it would be good if you can acknowledge the repeated request... JarrahTree 11:15, 24 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have read your request but I rather leave the rating of articles to people who have more knowledge about the subject or are more familiar with wikiprojects in general. SailingthroughHistory (talk) 12:23, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
what i have indicated and also shown in the edits following your additions - there is no need for experience or familiarity as the default setting is the usual one - simply adding class=stub and importance=low - is in effect assisting in the maintenance of the projects considerably as so few editors are actually interested in following up/on the issue that you think there may be others to follow - as far as I can see - there are none. Thanks for your reply anyways. JarrahTree 03:53, 3 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Don't add talkheaders indiscrimately to pages[edit]

From: template:Talk header This template does not need to be placed on every talk page, and should not be indiscriminately added to talk pages using automated editing tools. Talk pages that are frequently misused, that attract frequent debate, articles often subject to controversy, articles that typically attract new editors, and highly-visible or popular topics may be appropriate for this template. KittenKlub (talk) 11:44, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

In English there is no such word as "aircrafts" - the plural of "aircraft" is "aircraft". I have moved this category to Category:Aircraft of the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army. - Ahunt (talk) 12:21, 11 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for fixing my mistake, I did not know that. SailingthroughHistory (talk) 12:37, 11 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on HNLMS Alkmaar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Taking Out The Trash (talk) 19:18, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the speedy deletion request as the page is not a disambiguation page but a set index which is a list article Lyndaship (talk) 20:30, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

February 2023[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your edit to a disambiguation page. However, please note that disambiguation pages are not articles; rather, they are meant to help readers find a specific article quickly and easily. From the disambiguation dos and don'ts, you should:

  • Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
  • Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
  • Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry
    • Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
  • Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
  • Do not insert external links or references

Thank you. Taking Out The Trash (talk) 19:20, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Manipa people indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 07:02, 20 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of HNLMS Urk[edit]

Hello SailingthroughHistory,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Lightoil and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I have tagged an article that you started, HNLMS Urk for deletion, because it is unnecessary per one of the criteria at WP:G14.

If you feel that the page shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Lightoil}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:59, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
