Copyright policy advisement regarding articles[edit]

Dear Salcan, regarding your contribution to Route 66 Rendezvous, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from web sites or printed material without the express permission of the author or copyright holder. This article appears to be a direct copy from this URL: http://www.route-66.org/about_us.htm As a copyright violation, the article has been deleted under the speedy deletion criteria.

If you choose to recreate the article, please ensure that the material is written in your own words. If you believe that using sentences from the source is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL), then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at the talk page of the new article and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GNU Free Documentation License, or released into the public domain leave a note at the talk page of the new article with a link to where we can find that note.
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to <permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the talk page of the article.

Thank you. Slp1 (talk) 02:01, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your message, Salcan. As you can understand we can't include copyright text here. If you are interested in recreating the article by rewriting the text, then take a look at WP:N to make sure that you include the relevant type of information. It will be important to include some links to newspaper articles etc written about the event, for example, to show that it is a notable festival that has attracted attention. Good luck. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of SBD (disambiguation), and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: SBD. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 23:28, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

SBD[edit]

Your changes would probably be harmless, assuming no-one complains. Try to use the edit summary so it's obvious what's going on. Discussing this kind of move at the talk page first is good too—while you might think that SBD is obviously an airport, not everyone else does. Regards, Mr Stephen (talk) 23:39, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Now I've had a chance to look at it, I see that the guideline at WP:DAB#NAME suggests that SBD should be the disambiguation page, unless SBD already exists as an article. So the answer is that the existing structure is the preferred one, and SBD should stay as the dab page. Regards, Mr Stephen (talk) 07:56, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bogus block notice[edit]

Since you are not an administrator on the English language Wikipedia, evidenced by your not being listed at [[1]], you must not post false notices [2] [3] on other editors' talk pages or user pages telling them that they have been banned from editing for vandalism. Please read Wikipedia:Vandalism. What you may do is post an appropriate warning, as sen at WP:WARN. If an editor has continued to vandalize after a full set of such warnings, you may ask for administrator action against the vandal at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Thanks. Edison (talk) 02:14, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problem vandal whacking takes the combined efforts of thousands of editors and administrators and you are welcome to help. Try clicking on "recent changes" and particularly "Newbies' contribs" and then revert and warn when justified. Thanks. Edison (talk) 02:21, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Camp Rock 2[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Camp Rock 2, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? NrDg 18:48, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Camp Rock 2[edit]

I have nominated Camp Rock 2, an article you created, for deletion. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? NrDg 04:17, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

San Bernardino International Airport[edit]

Re your question, I just made a simple edit to units. I'm done with that for now. Michael Patrick (talk) 21:12, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
