Airtel Digital TV

Thanks for uploading Airtel Digital TV Logo. But please consider uploading it as new version instead of uploading it as a new file. In that way, we can keep the older versions. Cheers BINOY Talk 05:13, 5 March 2015 (UTC)

Binoyjsdk; uploading a new version requires file extensions to be in agreement. The file you uploaded was in .jpg format and the new version uploaded was in .png format. Obviously this could not be uploaded as a new version; also PNG format is preferred over JPEG/JPG in Wikipedia. As far as your concern to keep old versions, orphan files/versions under fair use claim are non-free and should they are not being used in any article, they are up for deletion. There is a template we use to request deletion of such versions. -- SAMI  talk 05:26, 5 March 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Abhay Vakil

Hello Samee. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Abhay Vakil, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: whether all the 100 richest indians merit articles i would leave to AFD. But it is a plausible assertion of importance or significance so A7 doesn't apply. Thank you. ϢereSpielChequers 18:01, 5 March 2015 (UTC)

Mona Bijoor Submission

Hi Samee:

Thank you very much for taking the time to edit my submission (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Mona_Bijoor), given that this is the second time it has been rejected I'm hopeful you can provide me with some guidance on how it can meet Wikipedia's high standards. I think part of the problem is the fact that as an entrepreneur all of the most verifiable sources like Bloomberg and Crains focus more on her business than on her (every assertion however patches the article citing it). I'm also unsure how to approach attribution, is there such a thing as too much of it? I felt that it made sense to go with fewer, stronger ones to save editors some time; but I'm beginning to guess that's not the case? Finally, how can I establish notability without engaging in puffery. It's a business-to-business company, so it's very much behind the scenes; but for anyone in and around the fashion industry, you'd need to know about it. Thanks so much!!

Hi Samee: The draft was resubmitted within a day because I spent several hours adding citations as soon as it rejected. Is there any chance you can actually read the submission and advise me how it can be improved? It's got 10 nationally circulated articles citing what is only a few sentences of information. I sincerely do not understand what the issue is. Surely being profiled in all the major business publications in the US is enough to establish notability and verify the information within.

But despite that no significant changes were made. The lead of the article is missing. How would readers know why the subject is notable. The article directly starts with her birth, schooling etc. Please take your time and reform the draft. -- SAMI  talk 14:17, 13 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi JamesDennin. I see the draft was resubmitted after rejection within a day without making significant changes and it was obvious to be declined. Please see policies WP:BIO and WP:VRS. I hope you may find them useful. -- SAMI  talk 14:02, 13 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi there, I was just after some advice on how to improve my article in order to meet publishing criteria. If you would please identify the sentences which are too promotional I will work on improving them - as all I can see is factual points, potentially because I have worked on it for so long. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Symbio_Networks

Thanks!

@125.213.191.72 The draft is self evident of advertisement. Titles of many sections make you think you're reading an official site of the company. The only suggestion would be to rephrase and tone down the draft. See our policy WP:POV. -- SAMI  talk 13:45, 13 March 2015 (UTC)
P.S Just in checked another draft of yours, which was rejected on the same ground. Both articles are clearly advertisements. See WP:ARTSPAM  SAMI  talk 13:51, 13 March 2015 (UTC)

Hello, could you help me out by specifying how my article doesn't have a Neutral POV, please?

I've been trying to re-write it and trying to be as descriptive as possible while making sure all the points I've mention in it stays.

I welcome any help to try and get this article published as I am a novice in article writing or any writing in that matter.

Thank you,

About the list of unsupported languages on the Google Translate page

The languages Balochi, Dhivehi, Ilocano, Western Punjabi, Tok Pisin, and Tongan have been removed from the unsupported language list on Google Translate. The reason why I did this is because they only appeared on the Volunteer form, not the actual Google Translate community page. The Google Translate Volunteer form got replaced by the community page after it got enough feedback by users; however those six aforementioned languages currently don't appear after clicking the 'My languages' button on the Community page. 98.144.91.43 (talk) 12:44, 15 March 2015 (UTC)

UNICEF Pakistan listed at Redirects for discussion

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect UNICEF Pakistan. Since you had some involvement with the UNICEF Pakistan redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 21:48, 15 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi Samee, I would just like to say a big thankyou for the work you have done on the Anokhi Kahaniyan article.

Deleting my requests

Could you please delete my accepted redirect requests? Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pickuptha'Musket (talkcontribs) 13:25, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

@Pickuptha'Musket: do you really want to have them deleted? A user mentioned earlier that proposing "SkyƷ" for deletion is more effort than its worth.  sami  talk 23:36, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
