The Rural Seasonal Complex[edit]

The Rural Seasonal Complex is the concept referring to the rural businesses(which deal with wants not needs) seasonal (Christmas) downward spiral of sales rather than increase. For most businesses the Christmas season is their most profitable time of year. Some businesses do up to 60% of their business in this season. Of course, this refers to businesses in the urban areas. In this year on the 16th(Saturday) and the 24th (Saturday) are projected to be the busiest days of the year. In Rural areas they see the opposite. What happens is- the people who live in rural areas ( 20 Min's or more away from cities) at Christmas time, tend to go on shopping trips out side of their local area. The result of this is a dawdling Christmas season that becomes over stalked and unprofitable. This season's downfall rather than gain can be prevented and predicted but only with experience in the specific business area.
