Mustard tags

Nope, anybody can remove them. I've took it off the one, but kept it on Real Life (Evermore album) -- I didn't include the References tag for Real Life because References wasn't an option until more recently. Notability's fixed, but there's no References either. If you can add a References section like you did on the other one, just go ahead and remove the tag. Tuf-Kat 14:54, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

GITS

I noticed your edit Moved episode 21 trivia from Armed Suits, and was wondering where you moved it to?--Salvax 19:02, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

It was actually from Armed Suit. And I put it under 'Episode 21'. As you can see, that trivia doesn't really have to do with Armed Suits. I also trimmed out some irrelevant information, if you look at the previous version of Armed Suits, you'll see it lists the similarities between the two fights. - kollision 01:39, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

Hi

I checked the revert you made, with IMDB and according to them [1], the song is sung by Jesse Eisenberg. Could you clarify why you think it is sung by Dean Wareham? Cheers. -- Funky Monkey  (talk)  18:51, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Jesse Eisenberg does perform "Hey You" in the movie, but I'm pretty sure the version on the soundtrack is a cover by Dean Wareham. Unless Allmusic and Amazon is wrong. --kollision 23:34, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Relient K articles

Very nice editing on the articles, thanks for helping cleaning them up, it was much needed and I'm not that great at editing.

My Edits

I can cite grammar books that say otherwise and I feel that I should edit this page to set this straight. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Noahdabomb3 (talkcontribs) 04:18, 7 January 2007 (UTC).

    • Thanks for the clarification, but I think that wikipedia's grammar book needs a revision is it is inconsistent. All other grammar styles presented on wikipedia go by the "following suit rule": use American English versus British English in an article on a strictly American (or British) topic, and otherwise just follow suit throughout an article with one style. The quotation section in wikipedia's grammar book however mixes American and British quotation use showing a lack on consistency. I hope that made sense.Noahdabomb3 05:37, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

User:Kollision/bioassessment.js

Hi. Bioassessment.js added musician-work-group=yes and priority=Mid to Talk:The Neptunes. However, the priority parameter has no application for the WPBiography group. Because of the scale of the Biography WikiProject, it was felt that assessing priority across the whole Project would be too much. Thus, the priority ratings only apply only to workgroups, not the Biography project. See the priority parameter usage at Template:WPBiography. Unless you know whether and how the musician-work-group prioritizes its articles, you might want to remove the priority=Mid from Talk:The Neptunes (and, perhaps, remove the priority parameter from bioassessment.js. -- Jreferee 17:40, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

The musician-work-group does prioritize its articles and it's the same scale as outlined at WikiProject Biography/Assessment (ie. Low is notable in their main discipline, Mid is important in their discipline etc.) - kollision 02:00, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for starting to help clean this up. If you look at the talk page for this article there has been major dramas with a certain user!. --Mikecraig 01:46, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Yeah I know, I've been watching the page since December 2006. I won't be going pass formatting changes and fixing up the album pages (eg. merging Face to Face (The Angels album)] and Face to Face (Angel City - Album)) though. - kollision 02:58, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi. Thanks for your bug fix here. If you get the chance, and if you're ok with templates, could you please try and fix up the bug(ish) with the to-do list. If you are able to, could you change it so that it doesn't stretch down when you click the "show" tab? Thanks. G1ggy! Review me! 23:48, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Bobby Brown Article

Please explain the tag you put on Bobby's "biography and career" section or replace the tag with a more specific tag. Thanks. --In Defense of the Artist 02:52, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Comparing the version I put the Cleanup tag on and the Current version, the most notable change is that the text has been split into paragraphs, which was one of the reasons for the tag. The Biography section still needs work, mainly it need to be split into subsections and more citations are needed. (see The Game (rapper) I have changed the tags on the article. After looking through the entire history of the article to check for vandalism, deleted information, etc. I have found that the Biography section is mostly a copyvio from All Music Guide, as such I have reverted the section to the last good version (13 July 2006). The article now needs to be rewritten. - kollision 06:38, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

World In Conflict

Hey, i was wondering why you would change the list to prose, i think that the list may look better and easier to understand for people. (Kliu1 10:35, 15 September 2007 (UTC))

I think it looks more professional and is more encyclopedic. No Featured Article would have a list, so why should 'Start' class article have one? (see also Wikipedia:Embedded list) Either way, the Reception section definitely needs to be in prose (see Shadow_of_the_Colossus#Reception and Metal_Gear_Solid_3:_Snake_Eater#Reception for good examples. - kollision 10:57, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

Eleventyseven

Hey, since you have done good work on the Relient K article, I'd like to ask your help on something. You gave very good reasons for fair use on the Relient K album covers, and I wondered if you could tell me if you know where the cover images are from? I may have added some, I don't really remember. But I need to add Eleventyseven's album covers to their specific articles now that it has been recreated, and I wondered if you could tell me the best choice for getting the covers up there. Thanks in advance, God bless.RoryS89 21:15, 21 September 2007 (UTC)RoryS89

I rarely upload album covers, I just add the fair use rationales to them. You can get the album cover from anywhere on the net (amazon, itunes, google images, etc.) It doesn't (and actually shouldn't) have to be in high res. anywhere between 300-550px is fine. In the image description, you should include a brief sentence on what the image is of, the image's source URL, the copyright holder (usually the record label), a fair use rationale, and the licensing template. See Image:Relient K - 5 Score And Seven Years Ago.jpg for an example. - kollision 04:11, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Eagle Eye: You may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit was inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. Your monobook needs to be updated to avoid an error

Hi,

Your monobook needs to be updated to avoid an error. The convert template code has changed and it will no longer accept 'sq' or 'cu' with metric units. Thus '|sqkm|' will have to be changed to '|km2|'. All existing pages have been updated. Any new use of the template with '|sqkm|' will produce an error on the page. The code for non-metric units is unchanged and can be either '|sqft|' or '|ft2|' format.

For example:

  • {{convert|$2|sqft|sqm}}

should be changed to

  • {{convert|$2|sqft|m2}}

If you want more advice, please ask at Template talk:Convert. Or ask me, I would be glad to help you update your monobook code. Regards Lightmouse (talk) 09:35, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

User:Kollision/bioassessment.js question

I have tried using your script and it appears to "blank" the talk page prior to adding the template. I have tried taking a copy, working through it and attempting to fix the problem but no luck. Is this just me or a general problem. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 14:41, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

Bioassessment.js is waaaayyyy outdated, it hasn't been updated since March 2007 which is probably why it doesn't work anymore. Development stopped because Outriggr's version (which bioassessment was a rip-off of) was just better. So see User talk:Outriggr/metadatatest.js instead. - kollision (talk) 00:23, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Date "bug"

No, it's not a bug in the script, but a bad fault in the syntax in the first place. Instead of reverting, why not fix up what was wrong in the first place? This will have to be done manually. For example:

[[March 7|7]]–[[March 16]] was displaying as 7March 16

which was hopelessly wrong. My advice is not to revert at all until Lightmouse advises whether it's possible to tweak the script to "translate" this error into a proper unlinked equivalent. If so, he'll advise whether it's better to revert and then run the script again or whether the script can be re-applied without reverting to correct the error. If not, the manual option needs to be pursued, and since the issue arose from bad syntax in the first place, I think it's the job of the editors to fix it. I'm glad this has been uncovered. Thanks for your vigilance. Tony (talk) 10:06, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

Skins International section

Hi Kollision, I see from the talk page for Skins (TV series) that you previously removed the International section. also re: the relationships info; i wasn't rly sure what to make of the dean colins bit, so i had left it for now, but the part about l.l. dating francis bean does seem to have some factual basis, at least on the hollywood gossip "reported as dating" level. there was some mention of it in the links & backhistory, there are pictures, etc., tho it wasn't properly footnoted.

i actually don't think it was intended as vandalism (either line), just kind of sloppy work, & perhaps bad information

Ning Criticism

Hi! I see you (kind of) recently edited the Ning "Criticism" section. There has been a recent flurry of activity that you might want to weigh in on. In my opinion, there are some WP:RS, WP:OR, and WP:NPOV issues. However, as an unabashed Ning fan some bias might be clouding my judgment! Thanks, Kangaru99 (talk) 21:03, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Hi Kollision. As you may have noticed the dispute over the Controversies section has carried on. It can be found in the talk page. It would be great if you'd help resolve it by weighing in whether Charting Stocks is a reliable source here. Percy Jackson film

As you said here, per IMDb, the title of the film based on The Lightning Thief is "Percy Jackson". However IMDb says that the working title of the film is "Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief" per this.[5] The Movie Insider also says that the official title is "Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief".[6] So does Wikia, though I doubt that it will pass WP:RS, but nevertheless, the link is here [7]. Also the same is true for this link too - [8]. Per these I am moving the page to Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief (film). Please do not revert my actions. I suggest that if you have any problems with this, take up this discussion here. The final title of the page will be decided there, if necessary. Cheers! Pmlinediter  Talk 08:24, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

Yes, there is a reason not to have the Lupe image. Images aren't to be used unless they help explain the article, otherwise they are not necessary.

And as for the Grammy winning, Grammys are hierarchical, and most musicians who have won one have it in their leads. If there is no rule being broken, then I'm going to take the image out and put Grammy back in. Thank you. Osh33m (talk) 16:46, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
