Your opinion is noted. It does not link to or address the reasons for the article's deletion, and therefore does not convince me.  Sandstein  18:23, 10 June 2016 (UTC)

Robby Starbuck

I request the undeletion of this Article deleted after discussion. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. 11:27, 10 June 2016 (UTC)

I searched online to find his YouTube page has nearly 100 million views and 100,000 subscribers. This rationally tells me that his work is notable to many people.

From the previous citations on the deleted page page his work for Smashing Pumpkins, Akon, Eve, Sarah Bareilles, Megadeth, Snoop Dogg, Shiny Toy Guns and Metric is notable by community standards. He has been nominated for the best video music video award at the MMVA's on Much Music in Canada, Best Rock video & Best Video with a message at the MTV VMA's as well which was cited on the old page.

I believe in total the notability is very much established. Note the length of time this page was active with users updating & adding additional news/entries and pages for the name "Robby Starbuck" are included on various foreign countries wiki or encyclopedia sites.

X mark.svg Not done - this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Robby Starbuck, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user Sandstein (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. Hi. Most popular entertainment topics bore me. You may ask another administrator to look at and possibly undelete this article, but I myself am not interested in doing so.  Sandstein  19:48, 10 June 2016 (UTC)

Can you recommend which admin to ask because deletion specifically asked me to contact you... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:E000:224B:4C00:5C17:98EF:2FE2:B599 (talk) 21:38, 10 June 2016 (UTC)

Try at WP:UND.  Sandstein  22:42, 10 June 2016 (UTC)

"Verifiability or Truth" RfC outcome

Greeetings. There was an RfC back in 2012 about the rules on Verifiability. You were one of three nominated Administrators who would determine consensus. Could you, please, point me towards the outcome of that RfC? Thanks. -The Gnome (talk) 06:59, 11 June 2016 (UTC)

Er, no, don't remember where that was, or indeed that RfC at all.  Sandstein  08:00, 11 June 2016 (UTC)

I request the undeletion of the article "List of artists influenced by Brandy". Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. This article was as extensive and accurately cited as similar pages by Beyonce, Madonna, and Michael Jackson. I believe the page was accidentally deleted, because if that page served no purpose then none of the other ones do either. Many of my fellow Wikipedians have requested for the page to be restored. Please answer back as soon as possible. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BenjaminButler123 (talkcontribs) 05:14, 11 June 2016 (UTC)

Not an accident, but consensus: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of artists influenced by Brandy. Declined.  Sandstein  08:01, 11 June 2016 (UTC)

Well, it should be restored. It is a prime example of Wikipedians who feel that their opinions or knowledge of a topic are superior to others. Brandy's influence to the music industry is as extensive as pages created for singers such as Beyonce, Janet Jackson, and Madonna. The article was heavily cited, with credible sources. If there are any sources that aren't credible, such as sources from a fan page, I would love to go through them and delete them or find credible sources. However, it is an insult to Brandy's legacy and to use fellow Wikipedians to delete the page and continue to deny our multiple requests to restore the page. No one has given a reason as to why the page should be deleted, or as to why Beyonce's page can still remain on Wikipedia but Brandy's is deleted. This isn't a fan who wants their favorite singer to have great representation on the site or anything, this is coming from someone who works in the music business and with artists. Her influence can be seen and heard heavily in today's music. Her page should be restored, and I would be happy to work on it and ensure that it doesn't become a page for vandalism or fan vandalism. User:BenjaminButler123 4:58, 11 June 2016 (US Central Time)

Your opinion is noted, but the community's consensus to delete the article remains valid. If you have sources that make the topic pass WP:GNG, you can try recreating it as a draft stub.  Sandstein  05:10, 12 June 2016 (UTC)

How exactly does it remain valid? You still haven't given any valid reasons as to why it should be deleted, or why it can't be restored. It's a really biased deletion to be honest, because you delete one artist's page but not the others. I could give you the sources if you would restore the page. They were all oon the page. The list is so extensive it would take me a while to get all of those sources back. Are there any higher ups that I could speak with about this?User:BenjaminButler123 —Preceding undated comment added 17:09, 12 June 2016 (UTC)

A consensus of editors in an open community discussion agreed that it should be deleted - that's all the reasons there are, and all that are needed. The editors agreed that the topic fails WP:N; please refer to that page. There are no higher-ups on Wikipedia, but see WP:DRV if you think that consensus to delete was incorrectly assessed. However, you are likely to fail with an appeal; I recommend contributing such content to Brandy Norwood instead. That is all the help I can give you here.  Sandstein  17:16, 12 June 2016 (UTC)

Yeah, I read that article when you guys deleted the page two years ago. The problem is, the article did fall under the guidelines, that's why we are confused as to why you feel like you have the power to delete the article. gain, you still haven't explained why the article should be deleted. You basically said it was deleted because we said so. That's not an excuse. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BenjaminButler123 (talkcontribs) 17:53, 12 June 2016 (UTC)

Excuse me, sir. I don't know why the article Gangnam murder case (known as misogynistic crime) should be deleted, unlike the article 2016 Orlando nightclub shooting (known as homophobic crime). Is it means, the incidents of orient doesn't compare with the incidents of occident? Please, can you tell me why that should be deleted? Thanks. --Idh0854 (talk) 16:06, 13 June 2016 (UTC)

It was deleted because a community discussion resulted in consensus to do so. The reasons for this consensus can be found in the discussion. I myself have no opinions on the merits of the deleted article, I merely act on the result of the consensus.  Sandstein  16:09, 13 June 2016 (UTC)
In Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gangnam murder case, only one has offered an opinion on the article except proposer and me. Is it really consensus? I'm afraid I don't agree with that. Thanks. --Idh0854 (talk)
Er, no, you did not offer an opinion of "keep" or "delete", therefore I closed this as a uncontested "delete".  Sandstein  16:33, 13 June 2016 (UTC)
Obviously, I didn't offer an opinion of "keep" or "delete", just like you told me. But my position was clearly to "keep" in that page. Or at least I think only one's opinion of "delete" wasn't consensus (= WP:NOCON), isn't? Thanks. --Idh0854 (talk) 05:09, 14 June 2016 (UTC)

So, I request that you please restore to the previous state for article Gangnam murder case. Thanks. --Idh0854 (talk) 07:45, 16 June 2016 (UTC)

No, but I've relisted the article for further discussion.  Sandstein  19:58, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
Thanks, sir. --Idh0854 (talk) 02:34, 18 June 2016 (UTC)

Deletion review for MonteCristo

An editor has asked for a deletion review of MonteCristo. Because you closed the deletion discussion for this page, speedily deleted it, or otherwise were interested in the page, you might want to participate in the deletion review. Prisencolin (talk) 23:12, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

Problem with a user

I seem to be having a problem with User:Bloodofox as far as his attitude towards me and others. His discussions start to get very personal as opposed to simply staying on topic. See: talk Loch Ness Monster, my own talk page, and the 3RR warning on his own talk page by another administrator. He has reverted me and administrator User:Moriori many times (even when well sourced), but all I want is for him to stay on topic and leave the nastiness about me out of his discussions. His bedside manner is far from pleasing and I have told him as much on the LNM talk page and my own talk page. I would have brought it to An/i but I'm going out of town and have no idea what he might post about me in the interim. Thanks. Fyunck(click) (talk) 22:52, 18 June 2016 (UTC)

@Fyunck(click): Sorry for my late reply. Unfortunately, I don't see how I can help here; see generally WP:DR for how to proceed in such situations.  Sandstein  05:53, 30 June 2016 (UTC)
